Best dog park in chch! Lots of separated areas including two swimming areas. Always friendly dogs.

Love taking the dogs here, multiple large fenced paddocks that go for some distance where dogs can run free and just be dogs. Includes an area by the river for those dogs that love water and an area with agility equipment. Have brought all my dogs here over the years and they have always enjoyed the opportunity to socialise with other dogs in a well fenced environment!

Such an awesome place for dogs. So many different areas and everyone is always friendly! Awesome play area, equipment for agility training, plenty of rubbish bins, the possibilities are endless with so much space to explore. It's such an asset, and I would travel a long way just to have my doggy have a play and run here!

Absolutely fantastic. My girl loves this park. A place to swim. Different fenced off areas for small and large dogs.

Amazing dog park! Huge and lots of different areas, heaps of shade, bins and water stations! All cities and towns should invest in a decent dog park!

Omg this is doggy Playland, 10km of off lease and keep dog under control in secure Playland space, ample parking, secure water hole for dogs and 2 lots of agility for dogs it's a must visit for out of Town. Next level....you can take a picnic

River pathway has been cleared for native planting. Looking really good. Grounds well kept in gated areas. Plenty of room for a good romp with other dogs or just a few wee burnouts on their own. Good obstacle course.

Best place in Christchurch for off leash fun for well socialised dogs. Mine absolutely loves it. Fabulous amenity.

Great place to take your doggo, large fenced areas are good for socializing and fetch, smaller fenced off agility areas help focus the dog on task. Heaps of water to cool off in or play. Also has walking\biking track branching off from carpark

The best Dog park by Far in New Zealand!! You will not find a better one! I dare you to try! This place is the most magnificent dog park

Absolutely awesome dog park! It takes quite awhile to walk around the whole park, but it is a great walk! There are lots of huge open spaces for your dog to chase balls or sticks, and there is even several tricky obstacle courses scattered around for super adventurous (obedient) dogs to try and master lol. There's also a river for your dog to go for a swim in. What more could a dog possibly need?! I highly recommend it. 🐕🐾

What a great dog park! There a separate areas for what activity you want. An area with BBQs, a popular area by the river for dogs to swim, a walking track and an area where you can run with your dog. There is also an agility course, but we've got Bulldogs so not much of that happening! We'll structured and each area is fenced off. Our dogs had an absolute blast!

We travel from the other side of town because this dog park has alot to offer my dog loves this place

This is a great area apart from the low energy people who litter there. They carry their "energy" drinks and alcohol drinks into the park but mysteriously lack the energy to take their empty containers, cigarette butts and chewing gum back out with them

This place is a favourite for people and dogs alike,,a big area good for walking your dog ,lots of greenery,trees,and water area as well,, your dog will love it and will have plenty of play time with other dogs as well,,has fenced off areas and an obstacle course,,,my time was well spent with the dog,, relaxed and open environment.

Love taking my greyhound here and letting him run off lead. The fences are high enough so you know your dog is safe inside the premises

I love taking my 2 crazy border collies, it's a really fun place to go, loads of agility course stuff and the watering holes are awesome too! Only giving 4 stars because the grass sometimes gets neglected and becomes too long 😊

Fantastic spot with so many areas and lots of space!

Its a restful outdoors area. Has BBQs to use near the picnic tables. Public toilets and many trees for shelter nearby. Plenty of parking for group picnics. Need to book via Christchurch City Council online an area allocated for picnics for large groups. The large dog park is fenced off from the rest of the park and river.

A really cool place to go with your dog. Visited here with my friend's golden retriever and it rushed around with the other dogs and had a great time. There are several different areas that are fenced in yet very open and spacious so you don't have to worry about losing your dog. There is also an agility obstacle course and a nice area near a stream.

Love taking my girl Ava to the groynes! Great combination of her being able to go for a swim in clean water, walk and agility and of course meeting other dogs.

Lovely park so close to the city. Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent facility. The of leash areas are fabulous, and obviously the creek is a draw card for labradors

A great fenced area for this fella to run around in! Goes home well satisfied with his outing full of good exercise and meet/greet with other K9 mates.

Possibly the greatest dog park ever created. Lots of smaller fenced areas that join to the next, creating a giant secure area for dogs to run free in. There is river access for dog swims, and drink fountains a-plenty. Also a large dog and a small dog agility area. A wonderful walk improved by the happiness of the pooches. <3

Great place for dog exercise and walks.

The best dog park in CHCH. Clean water for the dogs to swim in year round, and a good long walk around the park, can be as short or long as you like. Would be awesome if there could be a big dog/small dog only area, but definitely the place to take your dogs year round

Great for dogs and their owners

If you are looking for a safely fenced area to let you dog run free and interact with other dogs there is no better place. Several different areas with and without obstacles. There area a number of picnic tables and plenty of parking to make a day or it.

Nice park if everyone can cleanup after their dog! Please be responsible !

We took our 2 Jack Russell’s to the dog park and spent time in one of the areas for small dogs. There was pipes, ramps, rings, etc. even though our dogs aren’t agility trained we and they had fun mucking around with them. Did a little walking around the trails where dogs allowed. The parks a little brown with the hot summer but you have to expect that, overall this is an excellent park for anyone with dogs. Awesome.

Awesome park for exercise and the agility part is the best one in Christchurch in my opinion! There are separate agility areas for small dogs and large dogs and lots of room to run around. Numerous picnic tables and dog friendly water fountains. There are bins for dog poo bags too :)

I really like this park. You can go there with your dog and play around the river, get muddy everywhere if recently rained and practice some agility all in one place. The good point is very large park, you and your friend are going to be tired and the worst point is the car park is crowded on weekends if you no go there early in the morning.

This is easily the best dog park I’ve been to......ever. Great big spaces. Loads of agility stuff to play on. And the river is a beautiful spot. Good job Christchurch city council. Wellington take note

This is a very interesting place. You can take a walk with your favorite dog, also you can train your dog because there are some professional equipment. Dogs can play with others, I like this place although I don't have a dog.

Lovely! Although so many dogs were off lead in the on lead areas which was rather disappointing.

A fantastic place to take your dog for them to meet and play with other dogs. Would recommend to all dog owners

Love this place. It has a small dog area in closed for small dogs only, an exercise area all inclosed, a river for swimming and some awesome walks! You and your dog or dogs will be exhausted by the end of it. Plenty of bins for 'clean up' too. A must for owners of dogs

Very large. Multiple sectioned off areas..river access is a bonus. Noticed some of the younger dog owners did not cleanup after their pets.

This place is amazing and I don't even have a dog yet. I try to come along when I can when friends take their dogs there. It's a good walk for both dog and human.

Not bad dog park, it's the few who ruin it for the rest, some owners neglect to clean up after their dogs, I am happy there just think it could be better and have more carparks as they are Normally quite full

Best dog park in New Zealand. You see all sorts of dogs there and the dog owners are a friendly bunch. Our 3 dogs love to be there.

Had an amazing morning at The Groynes Dog Park - a Basenji owners group met up and all had a blast! Gated and fenced well, but some gates need sorting by CCC

Great place to take your dog. Especially if you want to get it use to water. Kid friendly also.

Swimming, walking, agility etc. A pub for dogs. ;-) A place for humans to relax, before & after. A good dog is a tired dog.

The groynes.. many options here, bbqs, dog parks, streams n ponds, walk ways, family recreation aeras.. just a bloody great way to spend your days off, community workers are there every week keeping the groynes tidy for all to use n enjoy.. blah

Huge open spaces for the pups to explore with trees and long grass, also a nice big river to swim in and an exercise area to train them in with obstacles etc.

This might have been heaven on earth for our dog! Hot day & basking in the water with a bunch of other dogs.
