Super friendly manager and permanent residents make this camping ground extra special and welcoming. They really care about the place and it shows. Some of the permanent residents accomodation is amazing! It’s family friendly and very safe for children to run around. Bathrooms, laundry and kitchen are very clean with everything you need. Although it’s next to a busy road you have an amazing beach a very short walk away, it’s worth sitting down with a glass of wine and watching the sea and sunsets while the kids skip stones on the water. There is also a large paddock beside the camp ground with plenty of open green space on Onehunga Road. Apparently the fishing at the nearby beach is great too, with locals claiming they catch decent sized Kingfish there. We really enjoyed our stay, it was a lovely place to park up for a few nights and we would stay again.

We arrived here to a fantastic welcome. The facilities were excellent, so much so we stayed for a further 2 nights. It was amazing to actually have individual bathrooms(toilets and showers together). The whole area was clean and was like being at home. Everything available for customers use in the kitchen and BBQ area. Thank you for making our stay in Napier so enjoyable. This place was amazing for our one night stay. Bathroom/showers are clean and well maintained and the kitchen is also well equipped. Owner is also the loveliest person ever! We were able to stay even though we came after hours. It can get a little loud when you sleep because you can hear the cars on the road but no biggie, highly recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the facilities were. The bathrooms were always clean and extras such as powerful hair dryers extending makeup mirrors and good lighting made for a very pleasant stay

I spent 5 nights here and still couldn't get enough of this place. Facilities are well looked after. It has nice hot showers which are included in price, and the kitchen and lounging area is modern and has pretty much everything you need. This place has a community feel to it, I met some really nice people and had such a good time, I felt very much at home. The prices are affordable and the owners are friendly and accommodating. They have bikes for hire aswell, I was able bike alongside the napier beach and take in the beautiful scenery. Thank you so much for such a lovely stay!! 😀

Great location some 10 minutes drive from Napier. Clean, spacious facilities. My only gripe would be that the sinks, toilets, and showers are all self contained in individual rooms. Meaning it is harder for quickly just brushing your teeth. Or a quick toilet visit. As people taking showers occupy the whole room for quite some time.

5 out of 5! Very nice and warm-hearted owners. The kitchen and the bathrooms are super clean and organized. One of the kitchens is actually brand new with an amazing view on the fields. Also the setting in front of the Mountains is just beautiful. I can highly recommend this place!

A really clean and cozy campsite with nice bathrooms and a clean and well equipped kitchen. The sites are fine and the owners are really friendly. I came after hours when the office was closed but they came out and let me check in. Just the location next to the main road and the airport is a bit unfavorable, because of the noise (wasn't a problem for me, but I am sure for many others).

We can't recommend Hawkes Bay Holiday Park enough, and it's without a doubt the best campsite we've stayed at since arriving in New Zealand six months ago. The facilities are spotless and you have the option of two separate kitchen/toilet blocks with unmetered hot showers. Also, the owners have been thoughtful enough to add extras such as hairdryers, washing up liquid etc. to make your stay more comfortable. However, the real selling point is the exceptional service we received throughout our stay. Vicky, Eddie, Mike and Brenda are brilliant! Thank you all for making our stay so memorable. We will be back :)

So lucky to have found this place to stay!! Amazing near new bathrooms & kitchen facilities with additional undercover socialising area, all very well equipped to make holidaying easy. Peaceful rural setting but only 5 minutes to Napier city. Beautiful beach walks & cycleways the across the road. Vicky & Eddie are most welcoming & have all the info on local activities including wineries, restaurants & beaches. Very highly recommended!

Very friendly reception on entry, we booked in for the newly built cabin room. Only $60 a night, the cabin is brand new with big screen flat TV, fridge, kettle, toaster and portable fan. The room is not massive but you get space back on the front deck. The share toilets, bathroom and kitchen are all new and modern. The owners seem keen to make constant improvements. Would recommend to friends.

Absolutely loved my stay here! Was very welcoming, accommodating, travelled from Auckland and stayed for 3nights with my friend and my dog. Camped out by the fields and what a beautiful sight we had to wake up to every morning, was close to so many great places, lovely owners/managers even offered extra blankets as the nights got a bit chilly. Overall very good esp for the grey noamds! . On the plus side:super friendly owners, reasonably priced, cleanest and best equipped kitchens and bathrooms you will find anywhere. On the neg side: road noise is bad from early morning, doesn't suit families really, not spacious or set up for kids no pool, spa or playground etc.

It was nice however directly under the airport flight path. Also the women's shower I choose list hot water after one minute. I needed to stand in towel with shampoo in my hair and wait for another to open. People were excellent and nice kitchen and laundry room.

We had a very pleasant stay at this holiday park made so by the very warm and sincerely caring owners who not only organised a shuttle to transport us to and from a concert we were attending in Napier, but were genuinely interested in your reason for staying in the Bay. The kitchen facilities were the best I have ever encountered at a holiday park, and the cleanliness of all facilities out of this world. Highly recommend to all. Stayed almost exclusively on Top10 places but as the one in Hastings was so badly rated we decided to check out this one. Great decision! You can hear the airport and street but the nearby beach is really beautiful and worth it the compromise. The facilities were clean and nice, 1gb free WiFi and only 40$ for 2 people and a powered site. Would stay there again!

Super friendly owners, well equipped kitchen, clean showers and toilets. Just a short drive to Napier. Very good running possibilities start just behind the property and we had the pleasure to watch a beautiful sunset from our place.

While it’s definitely a place well taken care of, with great kitchen and dining facilities, I think it’s a bit crammed, really noisy with lorries from the harbour driving past one after another late into the night and first thing in the morning and if it’s not enough then the airplanes at 6am will give you that sleeping on the tarmac feeling. 40$ for renting a bike per day is a theft. You can buy an old bike with a rusty chain for less. Cheeky!

Nice campsite, the owner is really friendly and helpful. Only downside is the ground is impossibly solid for tent pegs, even the owner's lend of mallet didn't help much.

A smallish campground with powered sites and very fine amenities and excellent wifi. The only sounds were some geese and the occasional car. Aeroplanes stop around 22hra and start again at brecky. Slept like a baby😊

This was my first ever journey to a local camping ground with my little pooch Minty and my old 1966 retro Craftsman caravan which I have only owned for 2 months. I'm a newbie greenhorn caravaner. Vicky the owner was amazing to chat to. Not a problem bringing my wee dog and mentioned that everything was provided. OMG the entire setting was beautiful!!! I did not expect such luxury!! The ablution block had everything you could ever want plus more. It was clean, had pretty roses in the bathroom, smelt delicious and beautiful music playing. The kitchen was outstanding too! It had a TV if you wanted to catch up on the AB's and Ireland rugby match, or a choice of loads of DVD's to choose from, heaps of magazines to read , and a bbq outside to use. There is a laundry, clothesline and even a bottle of sunscreen. They also have a salad & vege patch free for all campers to use. I was given a spot which backed onto farmland and had Angus cattle right there to welcome us at the fenceline.. I'm an ex farmer so this was special to me even though Vicky had no idea of my back ground. I met loads of wonderful permanent campers and over-nighters too! I have booked for the 7th Dec and 24/25/26/27 & a special 28th too. I only live 15 minutes from HB Holiday Park....why would I want to venture any further! Just saying!!!

Really nice, fairly quiet and tucked away. However it is located 4kms away from Hawkes Bay airport and the highway so you do get traffic noise from both land and air. The city centre of Napier is only 10-15 mins by car and has some good abundance of shops etc.
