T.One of the best surprises I have had during my travelling. Amazing view, really fotogenic.
J.Sea and mountain views.
In road and out road takes you to the wooden tower above the sea and returns you to the tarseal road.
There is a distance diagram at the base covering London and Nelson as well as places in between.Interesting to study.
Sea was wild and mountain was cloud covered. Storm was brewing.
D.Despite a dry weather road, it offers some amazing panoramic sea views across the Southern Taranaki Bight. A couple of data boards offer local maritime history, of the small adjacent bay being a landing place for coastal trading. Also explaining pier poles that remain. A rougher track drops below the brow of headland, nearly getting to the rocks. Above the carpark is a stout lookout platform.
W.Worth a stop to climb on the viewing platform. :)
