Had a lovely stay here even though the weather was not the greatest. Managers lovely. Units lovely and clean and serviced daily very impressed. Well stay again.

Have never felt instantly comfortable in a motel before... until now! Beautiful rooms, with everything you need. Extra TV, full SKY TV, air con... the list goes on! Great location with a private paved path down to the lake. Incredibly clean and well presented. Clearly very thoughtful hosts who make a huge effort to make your stay as romantic and relaxing as possible. Bravo!

Absolutely astounding hosts. Went above and beyond to make my stay as cosy as possible. There was a issue with one of my visitors and it was dealt with in the upmost professional manner. I felt sage and comfortable whilst I was here alone. The rooms are spotless, I was in a lake end apartment and it was just stunning. I was blown away with the homely feel and quality furnishings and decor. 100 out of 100 impressed. I think I will stay here every trip to taupo

Lucky to be driving in to town and found this wonderful motel. Great amenities and loved the spa bath in the room. Close to lake and they have plenty of recreational toys to hire and use all at a good price and the patio area was great . Wish I had more time to stay but will definitely be coming back here. Great staff and a reasonable price . Thanks for making my holiday great and memorable experience. Loved it heaps. Looking forward to returning. Thanks Denis Longley

Mine and my partners 1st time booking a room for a night out in taupo on arrival the owner had our room warming up and spotless.... made our 1st time out in a long time perfect 😊... would definitely recommend A++++

Arrived 23rd January 2020. Well what a lovely experience. Excellently situated close to town. Cute cottages, spotless presentation and fabulous views! The new owners were so lovely, helpful and friendly. Nothing was to much to ask. We went for a kayak (available for rent) in the lake, just a 1 min walk down through the lake access this morning and we are off out for a bike (available for rent) ride shortly. Couldn’t recommend more!

I loved my stay on labour weekend. I really loved the decor and spa bath. Its 1/2 minute walk to the lake. I would definitely book this place for my next trip

We booked the family room because it provided a separate space for our children to sleep in from the main living area. The rooms sleeps x4 people with a double bed and 2 single beds. We provided a porta cot for our 1 year old and a portable toddler bed for our five year old. We were charged $410 for 2 nights, so both young children charged at an expensive rate considering their age. I admit I should have looked at the details more closely. We then had our grandparents join us. So 4 adults and 2 small children. The host was very upset we had not mentioned this to her. I assumed as the room slept x4 people it wouldn't be an issue. My mistake.. We where charged an extra $100.00. Her mannerisms came across rude and pedantic. I felt as though I was a naughty school child. We also pride ourselves on being great guests! She was however very understanding about the small broken jug that had bubble wash in it that fell over and broke. Apart from that the room was clean, warm and quiet but I would not stay here again.

Awesome place to stay Soooo comfy,homey & friendly even put heating on for us before we arrived Has sky TV so could sit back & watch movies Spa pool nice & Relaxing with large window was awesome Highly recommended

We had a toddler. They provided portacot and safety door. Plus there is a courtyard said Toddler played in. He could be fed outside also. A minutes walk had us by the lakeside and a fantastic lakeside walkway. No driving or crossing of busy roads. We would return in a blink. Sorry. Will return....

Highly recommend Cottage Mews Motel when you visit Taupo. So very clean and fresh, great staff and a very short walk to the lake. I will stay again.

Our leisure marching team just stayed three nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Units are impeccably clean and stocked with everything we needed. Our host was attentive and very friendly. Highly recommend this motel.

A really lovely little place on the shores of Lake Taupo. Our host was very friendly, making us feel very welcome. The rooms are very cosy with a little courtyard and very handy parking. A perfect spot to stay if you're in Taupo - especially if you'd like to avoid the more soulless motels that abound in Taupo.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cottage Mews Motel. The hospitality and service provided to our family, under a tricky situation which caught us off guard, was first class. We would recommend to family and friends if you are in Lake Taupo your first spot to try for the accommodation is the Cottage Mews Motel, also the local Bar and Pizza venue which is only 3mins walk on the lake was recommended by out hosts, was a great recommendation. If we find ourselves back we will definitely stay here again. Thank you again.

Awesome place! Very friendly owners and directly at the lake, so you can have a very nice scenic walk into Taupo downtown (app. 30-45min). Our unit was perfect: clean, comfy, well equipped (with a indoor spa and little garden) and with a lot of lovely details, such as flowers, fresh milk for coffee and so on. We will be back for sure!

Just perfect. Exceptionally clean and wonderful service. All that we needed for the weekend away! The spa bath with the lavender bubble soak was fabulous. Comfy beds. Great shower. Will come again!

A welcome delight staying in this grand lady like cottage. Her quaint idyllic character has charm so soothing after consistent travel. Cosy super clean with tastefully pastel decor. Has her own walkway towards stunning Lake Taupo. I highly recommend staying here to experience this graceful lady Cottage Mews.

Booked in Friday 27 April for one night on our way to Rotorua from Wellington. Our room was upgraded to a family room for free. The room was lovely, really clean and the spa was gorgeous. The motel itself looked lovely and quaint, situated in walking distance to the lake and also close to town and a quirky bar down the road, only a lazy 5 minute stroll. The owners were very warm and friendly. Will definately be back, a great place to stay!

This is a really nice motel right next to Lake Taupo. We stayed for 2 nights in a double-storey unit that was clean, bright and well-equipped. Came with 2 toilets and a jacuzzi hot tub on the upper level. The lady manager was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended accommodation and will stay here again when we next visit Taupo.

The owner is absolutely delightful, our room (lake view apartment) was very lovely and quiet. Loved the spa bath in the room! Definitely worth a stay if you're in Taupo.

Lovely place! Very kind and helpful host. Pointed yes towards the hot water park to wear out the kids, and our unit has a tiny fenced in yard with rocks that the kids love moving from one place to another. Pretty idyllic really.

What a beautiful little spot...a slice of heaven. We had the best time, friendly service, clean, neat and right on the lake. Walking distance to an amazing little waterfront pub and near town. Will definitely book again!

Nice and cozy, seconds from the lake and only a 10min walk to town. The beds were very comfortable, the spa bath amazing and the owners very welcoming. Diffently coming back.

Great host, lovely path to the lake, walk either way to Taupo town or to 2 mile bay. Cute cottages with own private courtyard. Spar bath. Toilet shower vanity area. Fresh clean crisp linen. Kiaks and bikes to use. Laundry facility.

Great location with Tape Lake 200 ft away. Free kayak use, awesome owners/manager...Best of all REALLY CLEAN AND QUIET. No a/c which always stinks, but a great place for a mid-adventure break.

Our cabin was spacious with an indoor spa. You can use the washing machine for free, they also supply washing powder. Very close to the lake. Kayaks and bikes available for hire. Short drive to the Centre of town.

Pleasant experience would like to suggest huge TV goes on another wall as it blocks brilliant view of lake Lovely walkway down to lake for pizza and live music on a Sunday night. Motel nice and quiet and excellent firm bed

Me and my partner stayed in the Studio with courtyard. The customer service is exceptional! Very welcoming and the rooms are clean and tidy. Nothing bad to say at all!

Amazing couple of nights, everything you need and more, coolest spa bath, so warm and comfortable, free wifi, fantastic. All around, I can’t recommend more.

We enjoyed our stay, the room was good. Bed's are very comfortable giving a good night sleep. We had a few good laughs with the staff.
