Where do I begin with this holiday masterpiece. The main pool itself is a huge luxury. It includes a swim up bar, water fountains, and a cave complete with a deep model treasure chest. Their are also smaller swim areas, including a hot pool. Other forms of entertainment include jumping pillows and playgrounds, as well as sports grounds. The sites and park have a brilliant layout. Definitely hope to be back.

We stayed in Room 2 enjoying a little family trip at the end of January 2022. Our room was close to the pool, kitchen and bathroom facility (as the cabin we had didn't have a bathroom) the walk was only 40 steps away. Room was neat and had the basic things we needed. Kids enjoyed the pool as well as some downtime for me at the swim up bar :-). Great location and the drive to activities is not far. Staff are really accomodating and friendly. We look forward to returning in the near future 💙

What a place! We loved our stay here. The pool was amazing, kids were entertained the whole time, great food and drinks. No need to leave the resort. We’ll definitely be back!

Awesome, safe family campgrounds. Amazing pools for kids ad adults. Really well run. Could use a couple more communal BBQs and kitchen space can get a bit tight at peak times

Beautiful resort! Absolutely love the pool & movie setup. Good space for everyone, plenty to do. Only letdown was the matresses not very comfortable. We will be back for sure though. Beautiful facility

Stayed here for 4 days in the Holiday Cottage 4. 2 seperate rooms, kitchen, small lounge area - close by BBQ and lots of facilities, great thermal pool and we just swam all day. Swim up bar, alcohol cost similar to normal bar at the moment open 3pm to 7. Movies on the big screen too. Definitely recommend for families. Facilities nice and clean and well maintained.

Our fav family NZ holiday destination. Love the swim up bar and outdoor movie theater. Always pack ultra warm out of the pool warm clothes coverings jst in case. It can be quite cold when u get out of the pool. Winter get a beanie, gloves poolside. Check the weather and plan accordingly. Swim swim swim and have fun

Lovely place, not enough toilet facilities for the amount of campers. Very long walk to toilets from some sites. Toilets are cleaned very regularly but almost too much as they seem to be always closed for cleaning.

Great family campground. Facilities are very good. Only thing we found was that children definitely need to be supervised in toliet area. Other problems is the toliets were blocked on off for 3 days staying there. But all in all lovely place

This is an amazing place to stay if you have kids of any age, or if you don't have kids as it has a swim up bar. Woohoo. Seriously though, we had a blast best campground ever

Top place to visit and stay. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful even at the busiest time of the year. Food and drinks were amazing and well priced. Beautifully kept amenities and grounds. Will definitely be coming back for our next family holiday.

If you can't get to The Islands, then let the islands come to you. This is the place for a very commercial resort experience with cocktails and giant TV's and lots of pizza. Come for the kids but still enjoy yourself as much as them. The lagoon brings a whole new experience to the idea of a swimming pool. It's a complex of activities hence the idea of a Lagoon. The 4 meter diving cave is genius for endless challenges and joyful belly flops. Can't wait to see the hydroslides when they arrive in 2022! The cabins looked clean and well presented but we stayed in the classic camping area. For a holiday park it doesn't get much more well-organised or clean. They have nailed the experience. The 4 out of 5 stars is due to the price during the Summer holidays. Really expensive. But we accommodated the price into our budget by not eating a meal out. It was worth it!

We had a good stay and enjoyed swimming in the pools. We found the young lady working behind the bar to be rude and not really interested. My partner ordered a 200ml bottle of bubbles. Normally when you pour a 200ml bottle into a 200ml glass or flute it will not take the full 200mls and there is a bit left in the bottle. My partner questioned the young girl on this and asked for what was left in the bottle and got told "Oh no you can't have it as you have paid for a 200ml glass. In actual fact we paid for the 200ml bottle and should of been given it. This is shocking. We found this place to be quite money grabbing and not focusing on their customer service.

The Lake Taupō Holiday Resort is amazing! The facilities were always clean, the main pool and bar was on point and the staff and personnel were friendly and very welcoming. As a return visitor, we will definitely be back in the new year. LTHR, you rock!

It was a great stay. Everything else is in the resort. You don't have to go anywhere else. Complete with games that can make you physically active and have fun with family and friends as well. Will definitely stay again

An absolutely fantastic resort. The toilets, showers and shared kitchens are all very clean, well equipped and maintained. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The swim up bar is a unique experience and the drinks reasonably priced. I was very impressed with the cocktails, they were really well made and presented. Love the Expresso Martini's!

Just returned from a little holiday and really didn’t want to come home yet! Absolutely loved my time here and wanted to stay longer but had to get home!! Room was awesome, pool was awesome, pizza was so good! So can’t wait to book in another holiday but a longer stay next time and then maybe another trip without the kids!! Only negative was the guests next door to my room were so annoying and loud after the 10pm rule! Woke my kids but they must’ve heard them crying because those guests stopped being loud. Also wish check in wasn’t so late. Other than that, loved my time at LTHR!!

Awesome camp for swimming ...game playing... and so many things to do. With everything here you don't need to go anywhere Very clean and tidy Great size camp sites and very friendly staff. Moves can be watched at pool along with refreshments and eats. Water is warm with many hours of play . Highly recommended.

We stayed in a self contained 5 unit for our daughters birthday in Feb and everything was great. Staff were great, facilities were great and even better there was very few people staying as the holidays had just finished. We are looking to stay again this Feb coming and recommend choosing this place over all others in Taupo (even with the higher pricing, it is worth it). Thanks LTHS :-)

This park is great for families. It has everything you need and want. So close to the town yet far enough away to be quiet.

This place is huge has pretty much everything you need from a massive heated pool with swim up bar and massive TV screen to everything to keep adults and kids entertained 247. Super clean and helpful staff. No pets allowed although did seem to be a few local cats keen to say hello. Loved it. Spent another few days here the new water slide is nearly there which we cant wait for. Lots more things for families to do. As always super friendly staff who go the extra mile.

Always an amazing stay, nice staff and amazing pool. The games room needs a bit of maintenance, but everything else is up to a great standard

Like taking the kids to Rarotonga for the weekend. We’ve stayed in rooms and tent sites, and both are lovely. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and go out of their way to make sure you have a good time.

The resort Is a great place to take family. We all loved the pool. Friendly staff. Very exspensive though. Our cottage was quite small for the money, underfloor heating on the tiles was nice. Single glazed windows and doors condensated my kids thought the building was leaking. We had ants come several times. Brought fly spray and that slowed em down a bit but they were still there. Had to leave a night early as ants had been all over the kids room and my 7 year old has a major phobia of ants. Toaster was broken, blue sparks and nearly had a fire first morning, so no toast just had sandwiches. The water was randomly turned off to our unit multiple times on several days, not ideal with children. Someone informing us what was going on would've been nice. Also the corner of the carpark for our unit lacked stones and was super slippery in the rain, I fell over with our suitcase much to the kids amusement. Overall I think my family enjoyed it and I think we'll go back and give it another go.

Enjoyed my stay at this Resort, appreciated the help of the grounds man who got my site changed as office staff put me onto a site I couldn't even get the Caravan of my Ute. Facilities are very clean and tidy, pool is relaxing. Certainly no a cheep place to stay for a length of time but do recommend.

The perfect destination for a get away! We stayed 3 nights and wished we had booked longer! The cabins, pools and general resort area is kept immaculate! The staff are friendly and helpful. Our children loved the playground, jumping pillow and hot pools. There was soo much to keep us all entertained! I was recommended this place by a friend and it did not disappoint!!! We will be back, and hopefully soon!!

Great pool, great cocktails and plenty of space! (Just beware - VERY popular with families/kids so be ready for that ha). We don't have kids, stayed 2 nights, had a great time and just went in the pool later at night, had cocktails at the swim up bar, floated to the tunes and generally had a great time.

Lovely and quiet mid week, beautiful pool and swim up bar were a real treat

We brought our caravan. The huge pools one which was tepid (which most people enjoyed) the other more for children were great. Many lovely sun loungers in this pool complex made it relaxing and a stay to remember. Beautiful showers with high pressure and the facilities we used were great. Thanks for a comfy stay.😃

Best family-friendly accommodation in NZ! Daily big-screen movies in the pool, swim-up bar with cocktails, playground, comfortable clean rooms with a choice for all budgets, all-day swimming, more swimming in the pool, did I mention the bar...in the pool!!! You really feel like you are in another country, there is no need to leave the property for anything, a complete holiday experience from check-in until check-out. This resort is absolutely the best place around!

Great get away to enjoy the hot pools. Swim up bar is also pretty awesome. Wouldn't recommend over busy periods, too many people crammed in like sardines and toilets had issues. But having said that the ablutions were always clean, staff were friendly. Overall an enjoyable get away.

We initially booked for 1 night (August 3rd 2021) as a quick stop before heading to Mt Ruapehu and enjoyed it so much we returned for 2 more nights upon our return. We booked a powered site for our 6 Bert camper (there were 3 adults, 3 kids) , and for an extra $5 a night I chose a site right next to the toilet/shower/laundry/kitchen facilities and right opposite the thermal Lagoon. It was absolutely fantastic, and the perfect winter getaway with the family. The facilities, the service, and the staff were impeccable during our stay. The lagoon is open from 8am to 10pm, has a large outdoor screen that played the Olympics and kids movies and has a bar and kitchen that serves decent food, I stayed in the pool for 2hrs and ate and drank without getting out of the pool...so I certainly over indulged. The weather was pretty terrible so we didn't use the other outdoor facilities (playground, mini golf etc) but it didn't matter, the lagoon was awesome during the cold wet rainy day...bar still open! There was only one downside, and that was the laundry drier, which didn't dry my clothes after 1 40minute cycle ($4). I didn't check with staff why, so not sure if it was broken. But I ended up taking them down to a local laundromat on our way out of town so wasn't a big deal for me. We will be back next winter!

Great family holiday park. Staff are all friendly and helpful. The pool is prefect and they have a daily movie, swim up bar and a great Cafe with yummy pizza to compliment your movie night. The amenities are clean and the sites are a good size. Highly recommended.

Absolutely well worth the stay.. Swim up bar...big screen movie in the pool..brilliant and very clean facilities including kitchen, laundry, toilets, games room. Moutain bike hire access to nature walks and a golf course across the road. Super kid friendly We went on a mid winter getaway with friends and couldn't have been more happier Well done team!!

The resort has some great dedicated staff who make you feel welcome and keep the grounds in awesome condition. The ground ground is huge and some of the sites are quite far from facilities like kitchen, showers and toilets. If you score a site close to the facilities than you will have an amazing time. The crown jewel of the resort is the lagoon pool, huge, comfy and it has a swim up bar. The drinks are a bit pricey, but the food like burgers and pizzas are cheap and really good. Close by you have great walks and mountain bike tracks. Overall, good location and the price is reasonable.

We stayed in the Tauhara villa with friends over a weekend (a few weeks ago pre lockdown). Villa was clean and cosy, had a full kitchen and was fully fenced making it safe for our toddler to play and roam. Pool was awesome despite the freezing wind. Heaps to do onsite but bear in mind there is a cost to hire mini golf/tennis equipment, or bring your own. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Will be back to camp here in Oct if covid allows! 😊

Great place to go camping. It's family friendly and the facilities are just awesome. We love the pool and the fact that you can order food and drink in the pool is a great bonus. We love, the kids love it so a good experience all round.

What a great family friendly place to stay. We had a winter getaway here with our little 9month old in August with another family. The kids loved it and so did we. Outdoor swim up bar and cocktails are a real treat. Definitely try the espresso Martini! We recommend this place to all our friends especially those with young children.

Yearly holiday location. Staff are really friendly i would recommend its a great family resort to stay if you're planning a vaccination in taupo.

We stay here every year during summer. I can’t fault the holiday itself. The pool is awesome and love the swim up bar and food. Facilities are always really clean and the staff are helpful (especially Ian at the front reception, he is a breath of fresh air). The pool ID process is really inconsistent and needs work. First I was told I needed ID to be served. No worries, I went to get this, but when I returned the same lady served me without asking to see the ID? I was then served another day with no issues, and then was served by another woman who requested I needed ID for her to serve me, even though the woman next to her had been serving me drinks earlier. I don’t mind providing ID, but I think everyone should be trained to ask for this so it’s not inconsistent, and staff should take note of who has already provided ID, or mention this to other staff members rather than not saying anything at all. This way I wouldn’t have to always have my ID on me in the pool or have to run down to my campsite to get this just because I have been served by someone new. Other than this, my stay was great as always :)

Paid $150 for a swim + $100 more at the bar for 5 people. Treated like our money wasn't worth it as we had to park on the grass verge outside the park as we choose not to stay there. Pool had a nice heat to it , complex was very tidy

Honestly amazing, the pools are all heated and each room has air conditioning. There's a playground for the little ones and even go carts. The prices in the shop are a bit steep, but nothing too bad.

This was our 1st time staying there and we LOVED it! Great for young families! We took our 13month old and he loved swimming in the nice warm pools! Facilities were great! Including a kids bathtub!! Our unit was so clean and spacious. And very modern! We will definately be back to stay soon! Staff were also really friendly and made us feel very welcome. Thanks so much!!

Great Resort for All ages Swim up bar and food is great

Loveeeee this place, we're leaving this morning and I wish we can stay longer each time we're here. We come by annually at this point and even in the winter it's a dream with the swim up bar and the food... Oh my gosh so good! The staff is so friendly and always there to help. They deserve more stars!

Lots to do and the thermal pool is amazing. On the down side the staff at the pool and pool bar were very grumpy and the service was super slow. At the pool they had crazy rules like you can't even take your own water bottle to the pool. The bar food and cafe is ok but expensive for what is. The no smoking rule is not enforced at all. We would return but the cost is very high...

An amazing 'campsite' with giant pool facilities including a swim up bar, restaurant, and cafe. Facilities are too numerous to list but kept the kids happy all long weekend. A true resort in good old Taupo. There are at best guess well over 100 campsites here, so if privacy is your thing this resort may not be for you. 6/5 stars

Fiji in New Zealand! Can't believe I have not heard about this place before. Great for kids families etc. We will be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The atmosphere was amazing. Staff were very helpful! Everyone always had a smile on. Amenities were always prestine and clean considering how many people were staying, full house! Thank you all so much. Have been raving about the place since we've been back in Auckland. Top stay, amazing facilities, very clean, fantastic swimming facilities.

This is truely the prefect family holiday. Central location, friendly helpful staff, clean modern facilities (literally has everything). The best thing to do without leaving the campsite is the lagoon pool, the perfect temperature and all the things for the kids from in pool movie to a swim in cave. the swim up bar, staff and food makes you feel like you are on a 5star overseas holiday. The camping it’s self is perfect with plenty of flat space, facilities and camp vibe. 10 out of 10 will be back every year with more people.

Awesome place to stay at.. friendly staff and wonderful hot pools.. great for soaking your aches away.. and super fun in the other pools for the kids.. with movies on the big screen. Clean and tidy amenities.

It's a fantastic venue, the pool was awesome if not just a touch to warm. Go prepared to spend plenty of money as everything is quite expensive. The toilets were always clean and most staff friendly. One of the bar staff was a bit of a misery but most were helpful. Don't hire the carts as they're a waste of time, poorly maintained and when we returned our one as it wouldn't go they wouldn't even give us a partial refund. That was disappointing. Don't go there thinking it's a campsite as it's far more than that and priced accordingly.

First time coming here and will definitely be back. Room was perfect, super king bed with large screen TV with netflix, modern bathroom and large kitchenette. Thermal pool was really nice, had a movie playing, Pina colada was nice! Bar food was alright. Shame it was fully booked this weekend otherwise we would have stayed longer!

Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. The bar pool really is as good as they say. Staff are very polite when reminding people not to bring drinks in the pool area. Bar staff always have a smile. Would love to come back again.

We stayed in a delux cabin. It wasn't too bad but i found it to be expensive at $293 dollars a night for our family. (2 adults and 2 children under 12). There is a nice pool with a swim up bar and well priced food but i found the staff member who served me rude and condescending. The toilets and showers seem to only be cleaned once a day so after a full day of use in season they are really disgusting. There are a lot of attractions in the area so the resort is well situated in relation to city centre and supermarkets.

A kiwi camping site with a big difference, the pool. Did three nights here in average weather but the pool made it ok. Staff pretty good too. Helpful, friendly. The only downside was that they don't put anywhere near enough staff on the pool bar at peak times which isn't a good look and would be an easy fix.

We keep coming back. Premier powered site. Great facilities, clean and tidy and the team are excellent. The pool kiosk is wonderful and the meals are value for money. Make sure you are hungry when you order a Lusty Burger. It is huge! This place never disappoints. Well done team

This is the best family campsite we've ever visited. The range of entertainment for the kids was excellent. The bathrooms and kitchens were very clean. It's a short drive into town, but perhaps too long to walk with little ones, which is the only way in which it was less than perfect.

Great place for a holiday, it caters to all! Loved the thermal pools, the food and bar was great. The children loved all the activities that were there. The rooms were super clean and the beds were comfortable loves the smart TV’s in the units. Also the free WiFi was a plus didn’t even lag at all. This was a such a great place me and my family loved it, we are already booking our next holiday for next year! 100% worth the money and travel. Thank you!!

This is a sweet place to just stop for a bit, food was reasonably priced and good, the kids love it and when they get the waterslides sorted it will be even better. Accomodation was good as well. One suggestion may be another hot pool in another part of the grounds, maybe slightly hotter .

Great family friendly holiday location. The pool is outstanding.

Initially I thought it was quite expensive. BUT when.you realise what you get is great value. The sites are great. Facilities excellent and the lagoon is amazing. You could spend all day just floating around. Movies on the big screen. 1 night Moana was on and the.pool only had adults all watching whilst sitting on their noodles. Highly recommend.

Great family camping spot. We'll run, clean and modern facilities, safe, lots of activities to entertain the kids. Highlight was definitely the heated pool with swim up bar.

Superb camping ground which caters for most needs. Loses a star because of how expensive it is and also because it really doesn't have enough toilet, shower and kitchen facilities when the campground is relatively full. Still a great place to go to though

Freedom camped 3 days. Good for what we needed, plenty of entertainment for the kids. And ofc In the pool 24/7 with lunch options just outside of the pool. Can't wait to go back and hopefully have another good time in their units.

This holiday resort is definitely worth your money the rooms are perfect either for 1 person or a family. Lake Taupo Holiday Resort has plenty imenities and a awesome pool to keep your children occupied and entertained while dad is prepping up the bbq for steaks and snags. During summer its a perfect place to get away for a holiday or just a weekend because the atmosphere and the staff make this place a awesome holiday resort to go. It's definitely worth checking out as I would highly recommend this resort to anyone.👍

nice place, love the pool however facilities for the unpowered camping was pretty average. portaloos are just gross , i’ve seen nicer bathrooms at doc campsites. would also love to see a few more environmentally sustainable business moves, past the initial “led lightbulbs”. maybe a compost system or reusable plastic or glass glasses at the bar-quite disappointing to see the cups get thrown away after one beer. would also have liked more security patrols to stop the drunk teenagers yelling and swearing all night with all the families near by. only other thing that would have made our stay nicer would be a hotter pool/ r16 hot pool area

The Reception was a 10 the gentleman that served us was very humerus and very easy to deal with. The Venue and facilities were a 10 we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very nice

Lusty Lagoon so luxuriously soothing absolute highlight on our vacation...and for those of you looking... a must STAY or visit with family and friends...Awsum staff so friendly ...Facilities are 2nd to none...Activities are fantastic for all ages...Great place to be after a day of Skiing❤💛💚

Stayed 3 nights whilst attending an event at the Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park and celebrating an anniversary. Cannot speak highly enough of how friendly, polite and accommodating ALL the staff were toward us and our two teen boys. Even the gardener says good morning and smiles, great service from the awesome wahine at the café and the team at the pool bar who served us the best choc cocktails well into the evenings.

A massive pool with a swim up bar and movie screen. Wide variety of accommodation. Bueatifil maintained grounds and friendly staff. Great family holiday location.

Great camp we were there with our caravan and will be back. Clean, friendly, fab hot pools with swim up bar and had burgers from the cafe with chip for dinner, really yummy. Would recommend a visit here, great for kids too.

Amazing place to stay when in Taupo. Units are very clean and tidy with all mod cons including free wifi. Huge heated swimming pool with area you can order drinks (both alcoholic and non), excellent playground for children. Will come here again.

Drivers should only be going walking speed. This place is dangerous, there are too many cars (including the staff buggies) driving too fast around the camp. Children are not safe. The no smoking policy is not enforced.

Disappointed in the wet bar staff. LOTS of false smiles. Reception was helpful not with regard to the wifi. Had wifi problems at the cabin was sorted out 2 days later. I would like to mention two particular staff however maybe they where having a bad day or 2 but I'm not like that.

Awesome place. We initially chose to stay here as it was more accessible for someone on crutches than the steep hill at Debretts and loved our stay. Pool included in campsite fee, great swim up bar, movie screen in the hot pool, heaps of kids activities, quiet, clean grounds and facilities. A+

There is so much to love about this place. The pool is amazing, and there is a swim up bar! There is an enormous playground and 2 jumping pillows for the kids. It's not cheap, but worth it for lovely clean and modern facilities and really its all about the swim up bar, let's be honest :-)

I love this place. We stay in the units the beds are super comfy, rooms are clean, location to the pools is perfect and the showers rock!! Will be back

Wonderful campsite with fantastic facilities. Great for the kids as there is so much to do. The pool is just perfect for those long summer. Afternoons and the pool bar is a welcoming reward for the adults.

Great facilities but still feels like camping. Kids are having a blast and the pool is worth staying here alone. Also a fantastic play ground. Clean and tidy.

The pool is incredible. The place is well maintained, clean and the staff are friendly. The guest rules are pretty strict but it means the place isn’t crowded. Highly recommend.

If you want to have a great and amazing family friendly place to stay in Taupo come to lake Taupo holiday resort It is the best place to be for a nice and relaxing holiday they have a big heated pool with a swim up bar that I will tell you about later they have pedal carts bouncy pillow mini golf and much more you can hire a camping site or a cabin there are also charging room so if you want to charge your phones iPad tablets ect you can go there it also has. A tv in it but my most favourite part about this resort is the pool it is awesome there is a 4 metre deep cave that your can go into and if you swim down to the bottom there is something you can do they also have the pool heated and they have a big movie screen where you can watch movies and sports games talking about sports games we asked if they could keep the bar open late and they did and my brother lost his phone and got it back from one of the awesome staff they have at lake Taupo holiday resort but back to the pool they also have a swim up bar that serve cocktails beer and wine but do not worry kids there is plenty for us as well there is ice chocolates there are mock tales which are. Cocktails but with no alcohol there are milkshakes and so much more delicious food and drinks there talking about food they have a restaurant at the back of the bar where you can order great and yum food like pizza burgers chips all sorts I want to talk about someone who works at the bar his name is Ben and he is a legend he was so nice to us made delicious drinks and always like to have a good old chat and that was very nice of him so I gave him a 4 dolled tip as a thank you and I hope he could get a rise over all the service was amazing and by the way the facilities are nice and clean as well and all of the things I said above is why I am giving it a 5 star rating you guys should come Thank you lake Taupo holiday resort 👍😃

Can not recommend this place enough..this was our 2nd stay perfect winter getaway to enjoy the pool complex drove 6.5hrs to enjoy this lovely place and can't wait to return.

Loved our stay here, I stayed in an unpowered site. The spot was flat and nice. The closest to the facilities are $57. The kitchen was good, you have to bring your own pots and plates to cook. You can keep your things in the fridge. The highlight was the swimming pool, it was awesome: the swimming pool is large enough, warm temperature, areas for kids. Great stayed. Will definitely come back!

This holiday resort is amazing. Lovely warm pool with big screen and swim up bar. We relaxed and watched the rugby - North v South game last Saturday. Enjoyed food, cocktails and beer from the swim up bar. Imagined that I was on overseas holiday. We stayed in our motor home and will return to this resort again in the future

What a great place! This is undoubtedly the kind of place to take the family for a break, the hot pool here is MASSIVE with a pool bar which also serves food and a huge screen that shows movies. There is a 4 meter deep grotto with chests at the bottom that has the kids spending ages in there. Add the rest of activities here; volleyball, tennis, play area, basketball, pump track and you've got the kind of place you don't need to leave. We will definitely be back!

Great place/resort. I'll be recommending this place to friends and family. The recent improvements made to the grounds are amazing and the pool is second to none I've been in. Great staff too.

Staff and facilities here were awesome. We were welcomed by a some particularly great customer service and shown to our room promptly. Everything was clean and well presented. The only downside was the pool complex was under maintenance. Once the pool is back up and running 5 stars!

This place has the best pool in the country. You should go. It is amazing. The swim up bar is fantastic - try the doughnuts. The resort staff are very helpful, there is a great playground, and everything is close when you stay in the cabins. This time we stayed in the 10+ room and it fit ten of us comfortably. We will definitely be back.

Huge sites. Great pool. Excellent food and fair prices. Good service. Even fully booked it didn't feel too crowded.

Staff made it so nice. Had choice of concrete or grass m home sites.2.5ks to town but lots to do in resort.

Not far from town, lots to do. The pool is amazing, which I why we chose this place in the first place. Also has some games, a trampoline, giant chess, mini golf, basketball hoop, bump track and nice choice in the reception shop.

Amazing stay here with the family, friendly helpful staff. Everything was regularly cleaned and in good condition. Really showed they took care of the place for the customers.

What a wonderful place for a family camping holiday. Kids just couldn't get enough of the amazing pool and lagoon cave, clean, tidy and modern amenities. We'll definitely be back again next summer!

Excellent place for families, we were situated right next to the jumping pillow and the kids loved it. The pool is amazing and the food from the bar was quick considering how busy it was. The bathroom facilities were reasonable, although they had an issue with the hot water at one point, but that was fixed up in no time. We'll definitely be going back!

I have taken my kids here several times now - the resort has everything to entertains both kids and adults. The pool is fantastic and the kids absolutely love the 'movies in the pool' whilst mum loved the cocktail in the pool!! Will be back again for sure!!

Wonderful stay here. Non-powered camp site is large enough for a 3 room tent plus enough space for vehicle and outdoor area. Great place for kids, and the facilities/amenities are clean and tidy.

This is our second time this year, we wanted to see how busy it was in summer, and it was very busy, but we still had an awesome time, amazing food, drinks. Staff at the bar were awesome too. We love this place so much it's going to be out winter get away place.

Great for families. The pool is fantastic (heated to 35 degrees, can stay in it for hours) and the accommodation is clean, well appointed and comfortable. It's definitely a resort you can camp at rather than a campsite with some motel rooms.

Awesome camp grounds, loads of activities for the kids, no pets allowed but it's no biggie. First night here we were already planning our next trip back!

Easy to find. Fabulous heated pools with a swim up bar and large TV screen for movies. Very clean facilities.

The resort is very well kept, clean and has a great assortment of facilities. The staff are equally as amazing and friendly and have a vast knowledge of things to do in the surrounding area. It was a lovely first time experience in a holiday/camping park resort. My only wish is that the cabins had their own bathrooms as it can be quite a cold walk to the communal restrooms in the middle of the night! All in all loved it and would definitely recommend the stay - if for the amazing heated swim up bar at the very least.

Couldn't fault this place .From the friendly and helpful reception staff to the amazing pool, plentiful and clean facilities, well stocked wee shop, movies by the pool and bar snacks as good as anywhere .Plenty of space for the kids, well laid out sites and pretty good wifi access .What was not to like. We'll be back.

Pool was very cool, especially the cave. Everything we needed was available in the resort from coffee and food to pina coladas!

Wished we discovered this place earlier. Kids loved it and the food and drinks at the bar are very well priced. The guy behind the bar (I think his name was Taylor) was under the pump the whole night but he did it all with a smile. Will be back again for sure

This place is great for families holidaying, however when you are a local wanting to catch up with family it's a bit pricey. Nether the less we enjoyed ourselves for the short time we were there.

Always an enjoyable time there. Kids absolutely love it. Staff are always helpful and well mannered. Facilities are always clean. The pool is amazing where most of our time is spent. The kids love the food and the kids cocktails while watching movies on the big screen.

The amenities were continually kept clean throughout the day. Every night we spent our time in the pool. It has a big, big screen where movies play along with a bar in the centre of the pool that offers alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks along with burgers and chips. It was so cool and we'll worth the visit. The camp sites are very generous. The staff very friendly and welcoming

Awesome place to go if you have kids, with their new swimming pool, with massive TV, and a swim up to bar, you get an experience for all ages, the kids watching the movie, while mum and dad, have a something to eat, and swim around.

The pool is to die for ....it's warm hot in the edges of the pool ... we do it all watching a movie .. eat and have a drink by the bar while enjoying a swim but I find the room so small it's like a camping cabin

The pool was amazingly warm, the only thing about it was that when I hopped out, I got cold very fast, but they can't control the weather. The food, especially the burgers were great, the service was amazingly good and i just had a great stay and I definitely recommend it to anyone. 5/5 for me!

The whole family found it a great place to stay. We ended up staying a couple of nights extra. A school group was there for a couple of nights and were very loud. That is more down to the school than the Resort

We had a large family group with a range of children 6 mths to 11 years. There was something for everyone. The pool was a real winner!! Iced chocolates in the pool - amazing! Everyone was very happy. The rooms were very clean. We will definitely go back again.

A lovely camp. Clean, fresh, modern with friendly staff. One word of caution though....the shower floors are extremely slippery even in the must have public shower jandals

We booked in at the last minute with our Motor home. We found all the facilities were very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any question we put to them. The ablution blocks were exceptionally clean and I would not hesitate with staying there again

Great place to be. Been my 4th year in a row and will come back every year. Quite with all the luxury you want without leaving the resort. Hot pools, bar and even a film at night time. Whoop whoop. Lake close by and shops if you need to go there.

If your going to camp in Taupo this is the place. Easy access to town. Plenty of things to do at the campsite with a bar in the heated swimming pool. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Staff are kind and polite and can cater to most needs. Definitely recommend.

Best park we stayed at in NZ. Clean, super friendly team, but it's the pool that really sets it apart from all the rest. Spent hours in there! Too far to walk into town, but great bush walks nearby. I think we paid $60ish a night for a powered site, totally worth it.

Fantastic place to stay with my child my partner and my parents. Great place just out of taupo. We had a house which was great.

The stuff was incredibly nice and welcoming, the facilities were perfectly clean. Nice hot showers, big kitchen, free laundry and free WiFi. Also, the big thermal pool was very nice. Is not precisely cheap ($38 for two ppl, non-powered site), but for the things you have it's more than fair! I recommend it.

Brilliant camp ground, beautiful location and easy to get to. Great amenities, hot private showers and clean restrooms. Decent kitchen an laundry. Pool is to die for! Warm with a swim up bar and a huge outdoor tv showing sports and movies. Plenty of room on a powered camp site for our 10 person tent, gazebo, trailer and large family sedan.

We’re just finishing up a short stay here at the resort and have had an absolute ball. The resort is the best place for families. There is a range of accommodation but we stayed in a stunning 3 bedroom cabin which was more like a top quality hotel. It was so private despite having neighbors right by us. The cabin was self contained, spacious and modern. The perfect place to relax at the end of a day after exploring Taupo. The facilities are amazing! The lagoon swimming pool which is heated is awesome. There’s even a swim up bar and massive movie screen where they played movies each day. There’s also a great playground, jumping pillow and games room. Honestly you don’t even need to leave this place. If you’re considering a stay here, you won’t regret it.

Trip before kids go back to school Great place especially for our First time camping as a family we totally enjoyed it! Some of the Staff were wonderful although some can improve in their customer service!(Bar pool Area) Huge Thank you to Tony (GroundsKeeper) because of you 5 Star rating stands!

Warm pool, relaxing environment, well maibtained! We slept in our car in their camping area during unplanned stop over; cabins and other rooms were fully booked, but we enjoyed our short stay. Friendly staff too!

Great facilities. Nice heated pool. We were there in spring during a rainy and rather cool day, but the pool was warm enough to go in even with a six months of baby.

Great place a bit pricey but worth it

Great holiday site that is well looked after. We stayed in a cabin for 6 in Dec and enjoyed a peaceful nights sleep. We returned for a visit in March to camp at “Lusty Flats” and were constantly disturbed through the night by lots of noise...the 10pm curfew for noise was totally ignored and a large party carried on until 2am...for this reason we would only return to stay in the cabins again. We were close to the thermally heated pool and kitchen and toilet facilities which are all kept clean.

We both had an awesome time and are definitely looking forward to returning. Great staff 👍

WOW WOW WOW What an incredible resort. Could not fault it. Facilities and location are incredible. Possibly the best holiday we have had because the kids are so happy. You will not regret staying here. Loved it so much that we are going back again next school holidays with some cool families that we met there during our recent stay! PS... you won't ever want to get out of that stunning pool with swim up bar.. the cocktails are great too ;-)

That pool is ridiculous, as in great. Being able to order food and drink from the pool while watching movies makes it diffuclt to get out. Tons of other things to do here aside from the pool, but it's the highlight. Staff are really friendly as well.

Pool: so good, easy access to the bar since it's in the pool, varying heat levels around the pool, shallow areas for the kiddies, seperate extra hot pool, famolt movies at 4.30 on the big screen were wicked, our preschooler would have loved it, even so, as adults on a no kids weekend, even we enjoyed them, awesome! Cafe & Bar, we have decided the cafe and bar here is the unobtainable trifecta, otherwise known as the unicorn of eateries, it's not meant to exist, but it does! They've mastered a menu that's simple but vast, the food is cooked perfectly and fast, and it is totally affordable! We had planned to eat out 2 of the 3 nights we stayed but were so impressed by the cafe and bar we ate in 2 if our 3 nights instead, awesome! Staff, from the moment we checked in till the moment we checked out we experianced such welcoming and happy people, all the staff were always in such high spirits and really added to the value of the LTHR, awesome! Room, fully equipped, super comfy bed, different pillows for choice, even had a smart TV with Netflix app used our own login to watch our own things in our quiet time - this will be a life saver for those with small kids who need a bit if a rest in a hectic holiday, our cabin had a pretty veiw out looking down the valley and a little grass area out the front to sit in, awesome! We didnt manage to catch everyone's names but like to shout out those who were instrumental to our good experience, Glyn, Leesah, the young British guy at the bar (yes the lemon & mineral with malibu was delish by the way) and the smiley faced dark haired chap who checked us in and out (thursday 20th around 2pm and sunday 23rd around 10.30) - thanks guys!! HIGHLY recommend! Will be back with the kids for sure!

This resort is great for families. There is a range of accommodation. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin which was what we expected. It was private and peaceful. Self contained cabin, spacious and modern. The facilities are really good. Heated lagoon pool is awesome! It was a hit with our 5yr old. The swim up bar, massive movie screen, playground, jumping pillow means you don't have to leave the site for other kids entertainment/activities. Definitely be visiting again for summer holidays.

Pool was way too cold...even hot pool...everyone was complaining the whole time. Last time it was hot but this time was very unpleasant. Clean facilities. Bar prices reasonable.

Who can fault the wonderful mineral heated pool. Super friendly and helpful staff, ( especially Ian). Wonderful curly fries and drinks at the bar, and the cottage was lovely and clean.

Excellent time of the year to go with family in campervan. Kitchen spotless and quiet so we cooked and ate in there every night. Kids swam 3 times a day in the gorgeous pools whilst we sipped cocktails beside them. Bliss and a hell of a lot cheaper than going to an overseas resort.

Camping here is fabulous. We look forward to it and come whenever we can.

The resort is great for family with kids. There is a big heated pool with temp of 30-40 C, and a 4-meter Cave. There are several playgrounds, game room, rental bikes. We had a good time staying here just for 1 night.

We were here visiting some caravanning friends. Thought it was a bit expensive at $22 Each for a day pass just to get into the grounds. The pools are beautiful and cannot fault the facilities

Loved our winter escape! We stayed in a 5 person cabin which was far cleaner and flash than I was expecting! The beds and sheets were great quality and the room had everything we needed. The thermally heated pools and in-pool bar and movies were such a novelty to myself, hubby and my two children (aged 8 and 6). We all had such a wonderfully comfortable and relaxing time, and are looking forward to visiting again!

After driving a lot of miles for a couple of days with not a lot of sleep, we ended looking for accommodation around here but the place we first went to did not feel good. Pulling up here we we're like "this looks really nice.. but expensive..." We walked in to ask about the price and yes it was more than we wanted but we have had this price before but did not nearly looked as good and definitely did not had a swimmingpool with swim up bar. We choose to give ourselves some time to relax, and so we did. By about 17:00 we were in the pool and ended up staying there till they closed the pool. It was really nice, warm water, relaxing, getting a cocktail at the bar, watching a movie. Later on some curly fries and wedges, checking out the other pools and the cave. A really nice and tranquil experience, soaking up in the pool, getting some more sleep, reloading for the rest of our trip was just what me and my mum needed, thank you! Only thing was the showers, was on a timer for warm water and we did not know this so ended up with still having shampoo in my hair and cold water... took too long to get warm water and actually ended up going to the shower next to me. For the full tranquil experience it would have been nice if there just was no timer haha (but heads up would have been nice).

Loved spending time in the lovely heated pool, the swim up bar is great. Food choices are pretty unhealthy and no paywave option so needed to take the card in the pool instead of using phone or smart watch. Facilities are well maintained and clean, camper/RV parking is decent size and wide roads make parking easy.

This is a good camp ground. Close to the center of Taupo with great facilities. The pool is fantastic with large screen tv and swim up bar. Caravan sites are spacious and our site was pretty quite. Just be aware when booking in there can be a bottleneck at the office/entryway. If you are towing a caravan possibly best to park on road front before registering .

Update .. very apologetic owner called and has talked to his staff. Staff member apologized, so all being good the park is worth a visit.

Absolutely stunning place to stay, very friendly and accommodating staff,. We totally loved being able to swim up to the bar in the very warm thermal pool and order a beverage, and even better we could relax in the hot pool and enjoy our drinks. I would fully recommend this resort 100%. We will be stopping back in for the night on our way back up to Auckland,( we loved it that much)

Excellent holiday park with a really great 35°C warm pool including a pool bar and a big TV. The playground is a bit worn out and it is still a city park (which means a bit of traffic noise). Therefore only 4 out of 5 stars. (Didn't try the showers but they looked clean)

We gt self contained cabins. They were very clean n tidy like a 4 to 5 star hotel. Had queen bed, bunks for kids and ensuite. Very nice bbq area too. Nice layout. Bar in the middle of food were well priced like most cafe n not over priced like hotels. Pools nice and warm with lots of tanning beds and a conference/party room that's covered. Will def come back here.

These guys have to be the most awesome place to camp, swim and the coolest bar around in new zealand. If you want somewhere to relax whilst the kids are having a swim, you can grab yourself a cocktail from the bar in the center of the pool. Weel definatly be coming back we loved out stay there and theres so much to do for the kids😁😁👌👍

Second time we stayed here. Great for young kids. Pool the standard of a Fiji resort. Will be back again next year. Staff friendly. Food was actually really good pizzas were good.

Pool is a too hot during the day, BUT, during the night its such a vibe , very cool place 100% recommend. heaps to do

My family and I recently stayed in a standard cabin. Well worth the money paid. Bathrooms, laundry and dining were shared but always clean and tidy. Kids absolutely loved the pool and jumping pillow. A great place for a family vacation. Would definitely stay again.

What a top resort this is!! Such great friendly staff, always happy to help. Pizza in the pool?? No worries :) Cabin was perfect for our party of 4, laundry facilities were easy to use, not far from town at all!!! Will definitely be happy to stay again when visiting Taupo in the future

We called in to hopefully stay a night or two....but nearly choked on the exorbitant prices of $58 a night for a RV site !! Needless to say I drove on to The Great Lake Holiday Park. Very pleasant and a lot better price.k

Stayed one night here on way to Auckland. Liked it so much booked in for another night on the way back. Clean, tidy, lovely pool with big screen and bar not to mention the burgers. Really big camp and lovely place to stay.

Stayed in a powered caravan site. Facilities were all excellent.

Great pool with attached cinema and swim up bar. Be aware that licensing regulations are enforced stringently in the pool area, bottled water strictly not allowed. If you want to sleep early consider getting a site away from the main pool.

Family tenting here. Very large complex Lots of activities for children. No much tree shelter for shade and from what I could gather is quite an expensive place to stay. Very secure and code needed to get vehicle access.

Needs rails to enable handicapped people to use pool easier. Very different to get in and out.

Great place for a family holiday. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was perfect. The heated pools with bar and movie screen are definitely a hit.

Although the weather was not the best our short weekend getaway was saved by the time spent in the lovely heated pool with the cocktail bar / kiosk. Lots to do for the kids, too. Comfortable cabin with all you need for self-catering holiday.

Very modern and clean facilities, great friendly staff, powered sites are a good size roads are a little narrow for camper vans the only downside is the lack of bbq's in the lower area's .

Had an incredible stay. Easily one of the best holiday parks in NZ.

We camped here in our tent for two nights with a 2 and a 4y/o. There's a lot of great things to do here, the pool complex is fantastic. The water is really warm, there's lot of shallow places for the kids to play in. It's a very kid friendly complex, if you're looking for a romantic getaway, this probably isn't the place! But if you're after a place where your kids can run around, splash and swim then this is it. There's a swim-up bar where you can charge drinks back to your room (or in our case, campsite) and outside the pool complex there's a games room, a big bouncy castle thing and a flashing-lights game. We were given 4Gb of Wifi data to use for the two nights we stayed, which was pretty generous and the Wifi was fast and hassle free. The communal toilets were very clean, the kitchen facilities excellent (and clean) and our campsite was huge (though I think we paid for a larger sized one to accommodate the 6 of us) My two complaints are minor: The powered site required a caravan 15 amp plug which of course we didn't have so couldn't charge anything, and they are very strict on the 10am checkout. I understand vacating the site, but we were politely but firmly told we couldn't even stay an extra hour in the pools after the 10am checkout. Overall a really enjoyable stay, with well thought out facilities, easy access to everything and nice, clean facilities. We'll be coming back.

The best of the best! Where else can you get peace and solitude together with (if you want it that is) a hot pool where you can get alcohol together with damn good food while immersed in water to die for. These days if we are in our camper van we only stay here and wouldnt think of staying anywhere else.

Where to start? Forget overseas travel right now and book in here. The heated swim up bar, the movies and Pina Colada's in the pool, the games room, the kids bike/skateboard track, the playground, the giant air pillow, the accommodation , the 2 new houses...omg the list goes on and on. Just GO THERE ...it's incredible .

Came here with my sister and her family for my nieces 5th birthday and loved the stay. The pool is fantastic and like how it's not easy for children to get into and there is so many seating its wonderful. We stayed in a deluxe cabin and enjoyed our stay it had everything we needed so no complaints. There is plenty of toilets around to use also within walking diatance as staying with alot of ppl and only have 1 toilet isnt the greatest. Short drive to town great place to stay would reccomend 😁

Blown away by this resort. Whoever owns this resort understands fun and has put peoples enjoyment before anything else in my opinion. The pool was AMAZING and was open late which makes sense unlike many pools back home in Oz that close at 8pm despite still being in the 30’s and daylight. Swim up bar was so cool and floating whilst drinking cocktails was a massive highlight. The staff are super friendly and really helpful here and the resort had everything we needed. We will be back for sure. If you are in Lake Taupō, stay here. It is definitely worth the money.

Sit in the warm pools and swim up to the bar, order pizza, burgers, beer, wine and cocktails etc. Then kick back with your refreshments while you soak away to a big screen movie. Best pool area in any holiday park ever. Nailed it.

Just the best spot in Taupo. The accommodation was great and the pool was safe for the children, warm and even had a bar for the adults.

Phenomenal Pool Complex. Possibly the best swim up bar in New Zealand, geothermal heated pool, 4m diving pool. A range of accomodation options from tent sites to cabins. Well worth a look if you're stopping in Taupo.

We stayed here 9/02/18-11/02/18, Place was clean well organised for camper vans an tents, the shower in the studio had the awesomeness pressure, the staff in general were friendly, loved the pool and fact u could have a nice cold one while relaxing in the pool, didnt get to explore the hoilday park as much due to the weather an had other places to attend, but we would diffiently book here again.

Wow to the pool which is better than fantastic and we spent most of our time in there with our daughter. The reason for the 4 star is only because of the other facilities that could be improved ie laundry drier cost me $8 to dry one load and didn't fully dry it but I had run out of coins by then and the office was closed, kitchen was basic but clean, the camp site was level but no privacy. So just a few things to improve on. We loved it and the staff were friendly.

This is my new favourite holiday destination, it is like it should be in Raro or Fiji. The cabins are so clean, the pool is great with a swim up bar where you can get food and drinks, recommend the pina colada

Absolutely enjoyed our stay at Lake Taupo Holoday Resort. The location is great, away from the hustle and bustle of town, but close enough to town if you need extra supplies. Service was great. I highly recommend staying a couple of nights and spending the day and night in their beautiful heated lagoon.

The campsite you get is huge, the facilies are clean and nice and the bouncing thing is huge fun. Beside from that you get so much more like a pool and tennis court and so on.

Although not park of the top 10 corporation they still exexpt member and discounts + you get 4 gbs of wifi incude in the price we paid 39.80 for 2 adults in a non powered site, all the activities are amazing and the hot pool are super fun If you can't decide were to go in Taupo come here !
