S.This top 10 Holiday Park is clean plus plus . Direct walking access across from the beautiful swimming beach, with plenty of sites available make this park super for all campers & very friendly people there as well.

A. F.Great campground. Friendly staff and great communication. We've received a couple of emails beforehand with all instructions. The studio cabin was bigger than expected as there was no much information of that studio for 2 on their website - so please check our photos. We were really pleased with the size of it. Amazing location, just across the beach and also a 15 minutes drive from every other beach in the peninsula. The net door and the chairs were a bit wonky so we decided to fix it as a thank you. Can't wait to go back! :)

C.Great place for everyone to stay,reasonable rates and if you become a TOP 10 member you can get discounts.If interested book well in advance, its a very popular park, with the beach just across the road. The park provides campsites, campervan sites, units, chalets and villas. It also has a communal kitchen, BBQ area, shower block, laundry and a kids playground. I've stayed here a few times before, this time I stayed in a self contained unit for 2, very comfy

D. C.BEST CAMPGROUND IN THE FAR NORTH!!! Amazing facilities, well looked after and good size camping spaces. We have 2 boys aged 9 and 7 and out of the 3 campgrounds we had been to up north this was by far their favourite as well. Highly recommend.

S. D.Our cabin was rather on the tired side especially the tiny bathroom as had nowhere to put anything except the floor. The verandah needs looking at as front step is an accident waiting to happen. Apart from those points a very nice stay and camping ground has good facilities.

R. S.Excellent place to stay, we really enjoyed the relaxed and friendly staff here. Its a gem of a place, regularly cleaned and lots of amenities, like fish shed and water blaster, laundry hot and cold facility's, TV room, and one of the best top ten kitchens around, gas stove tops, micro waves, rice cookers, showers were always hot and good pressure. All the staff are very helpful and they really look after the property. Also great fishing straight across the road. Will be back again, highly recommend staying here.

K.Cabin was clean and well stocked as advertised, great bathroom and kitchen facilities, made it very stress free staying there. Lovely beach across the road and the campground had plenty of info on local sites and things to do. Staff very welcoming and friendly
A.The staff are SUPER FRIENDLY and nice. the holiday park is very beautiful and well equipped. the interesting thing is that you can hire Kayaks from the reception and enjoy Kayaking at the beach
L. M. I.Well equipped, plenty of room at the unpowered site, great kitchen + outdoors eating area, nice clean showers with hot water for 7-10 minutes (after that press the button again), good wifi everywhere. Only thing missing were some cups in the kitchen. We loved camping there for a night!
M. W.This is not a place for tents. The upper field is smelling of toilet and pitch durk at night. The showers are filthy and if you are not fully infirmed, like I was, you will have your shower cold.
G.Campsites are spacious. There is enough space for your tent and a car. Kitchen is in a really good standard but bathrooms are not keeping up to the same level.
Theye are fine though.
Just one thing .. be aware that partying Maori can show up and they will ruin your night :)
No one will be able to calm them down.
All in all, pretty good camping site.

P. D.Has to be one of the best Northland camp grounds. A beach at the end of the drive and with in minuets of some of the best beaches Northland has to offer. Also 90 Mile beach, Cape Reinga and the giant sand dunes an easy day trip.

D. G.Great campsite. Fantastic location on the Karikari peninsula. Great amenities and facilities. Beach is just across the road. Great launching spot. Beware the beach access is really soft sand. If you're launching trailer boats go through with speed. Not recommended for 2 wheel drive vehicles, even the 4x4 getting stuck. There's a local with a tractor that can pull you out.

Each time we'd been there though it was over populated and pretty cramped, (right in Xmas) facilities always jam packed with people, so we prefer to head down the road now where it's quieter.
Deserves a 4 or a 5 though end of the day, they keep it clean, and it's a real nice spot.
Will go back there again when we are a bit older and the kids are grown though, due to the facilities. Not many camp grounds can harp the same.
I. C.GREAT welcome - the reception was friendly and funny. We stayed in the cottage so the rating is based on this. Inside is recently refurbished although there are signs of a previous life/condition. The exterior of the cottage is disappointing and does not provide a good first impression - weeds, foliage growing through the deck, damaged decking (exposed nails), cobwebs and dirty windows. Once settled we enjoyed our stay. The campsite was busy, which is always a good indication of a good place to stay. Beach on opposite side of the road. We only meet two staff members and both were friendly and pleasant.

M. H.SOOOOO lovely. Also affordable. Heaps of facilities tv room, laundry rooms, kitchens, bathrooms. Everything was tidy & they catered for all your needs. Even have a small park for the kids and some bikes that you can also hire for them. We stayed in a basic cabin which had 2 sets of bunks one being a double bed one, a fridge, a jug and all the crockery & cutlery you needed. The kitchen also had extra. Deffinately where i'l be staying whenever I go up there now. Awesome. Thank you for the amazing stay.

It was so comfortable and peaceful. Especially the kindness and sincerity of staff Gael. And I am very grateful for her active explanations and help. At first I was planning to stay here only for one night. However, I thought that it was a place that I felt so heartfelt that I could stay one more the next day. I think there is no such camp site in the another northern locations. I love this Whatuwhiwhi Top10 Holiday park and thankful GAEL.

A. S.For the area this camping ground is in and the price, we were suprised how poorly kept the facilities were at the time. A broken shower, gas burners and toilets were the minor issues on our stay. We found the staff rather rude but this could be due to the crazy summer period.
There is a nice beach across the road, very good camping space and good access to the facilities.
Take plenty of repellant 😊
D. D.Very clean grounds and amenities. Helpful and friendly staff. Had a spa which could have been warmer for the winter months. No hot water on our last morning. Not good to go without a shower on a cold morning. Did feel the staff member could of at least apologized. One staff offered to hose me down. Funny I know but not helpful on a cold morning.

A small room with a refrigerator and a bed. They may charge for blankets and pillow slips. Kids and family friendly. Carts and snorkeling equipments can be hired at a charge. Plenty of outside seating areas. Walk closed to a road to Parakerake Bay Beach. A nice and safe spot for swimming.
The cabin where I stay was a bit hot as it was a rainy night and couldn't open windows.
A small parking space for two cars so parked my car nearby but wasn't a big deal.

Great base to explore other surrounding areas. Not far from the Cape - we did the Cape, second far north beach, giant sand dunes and a 90 mile beach drive all in one day and it wasn't rushed!
If I was to pick 1 gripe it would be the showers could do with a real scrub - wife also made the same comment too... Didn't like that the white tiles were brown. Other than that - definately recommended to all!

Z. M.Its okay! It has the usual 24 hour kitchen and bathrooms, but there are only 2 showers and 3 toilets. The campsites are a good size, the park is quite big though and there are more families than couples over the christmas period. There is a nice little beach nearby, otherwise its a bit of a drive to kaitaia or kerikeri. well run park.
P. G.Nearly a 4 star rating but hot tub out of action and check in staff not able to check us in - just a blip I believe! Stunning beach friendly staff - remote location - nothing in the way of bars or restaurants in walking distance (3k or less) peaceful!
