I’ve enlisted Chris as a photographer in both personal and professional capacities for several years, including editorial portraits for print and online media. I asked Chris and Jasmin to attend Love Your Mountain Day as the official photographers, with the objective to capture as much of the day's event as they could. I was the event organiser, working with Friends of Maungawhau. They produced a huge range of images that together told a very comprehensive story of the event, which ranged over an extensive site and encompassed a long list of varied activities throughout the day. Their photos were variously exciting, beautiful, curious and humorous, and they filled in the gaps for many attendees of the event, as it was not possible for one person to experience everything. Several of the images were published in the local paper, and one of these has become for me THE photo that captures the highlight of the day, i.e. the attempt to hug the mountain.
