Had my 21st Birthday party here on January 29th and honestly had the best night. The Bartenders were amazing. They provided exceptional service. The drinks they made were also amazing. The food! Mwah! Beautiful 🤩 cheers Black Salt. Will be back for more one day! Every single staff that served us that night were amazing. They were so nice and had provided the best costumer service I’ve had in a restaurant. And to the young waitress who accidentally spilled one of the drinks, good on you for staying calm and collected and reacting instantly. I hope you know you did just as good as a job as everyone else that night. And to my friend at the bar, my apologies forgot your name. Thank you for all the tasty drinks you made that night

We usually go here for the 2 for 1 deal, now we've been in lockdown for months im starting to miss this place. The atmosphere is really chill The grill deal is really good, definitely worth the price The cocktails are ok, the sticky date pudding is incredible

Attended a social gathering here for the first time. The venue was good and COVID protocol adhered to. A comfortable hosting hall. Fresh, tasty snacks and food backed by efficient and friendly staff. First time for me here and it was one to remember. Coming back from a stint in Australia I thought the prices here were on point! The portions were just right and the selections plenty. I ordered the Lamb Shank and it was good! Was hoping it would fall off the bone but all is good. I still enjoyed it as well as the rest of the family. The service was above and beyond and the waiter was so patient with our table! Would definitely be back here. Give it a go if you're around the area.

Ordered through Uber Eats. Driver was quick and the food had good flavour, but everything was cold and the portions were small for the price. The burger’s bottom bun was really soggy. The best thing was the coleslaw, I like the raisins they put in it.

A nice Stone Grill is always an experience in itself. Combine that with a flavorsome cocktail and you have a wonderful spot for date night. The pricing is certainly reasonable and the atmosphere bears similarity to that of Lone Star and The Hanger fitting itself snuggly in between

Lovely staff, fast and efficient service without making it seem like a push to sell you drinks and food. Particularly the tuesday buy one get one free stonegrill is an epic deal. Stone grill was of great size and amazing value for money. Can highly recommend and will come back.

First visit here for me and the first thing I noticed were the staff. Friendly, polite and up for a laugh right from waking in. Only had a few drinks here but prices were in line with competitors - self service water available at the bar. Indoor and outdoor seating with a variety of seat options too. Nice atmosphere, I think it could be a busy place on the weekends so maybe a consideration. Easy to read menu with enough options but not so many you cannot decide. There was a snacks menu too that I believe the staff had said was half price at the time. Lighting was sufficient to read too. Bathrooms were clean and tidy, personal gripe with the mediocre hand dryers. Easily accessible to all patrons. Happy to return, next maybe to try some grub.

We went for a quick dinner, service was great. My mum ordered a steak with garlic mash and spinach, she said it was delicious. I ordered a small plate of vegetarian nachos with beans, cheese, sour cream and guacamole. Quite disappointed, there was maybe a spoonful of beans, and a couple of bits of vegetable but the rest was mainly cheese and sour cream. Definitely wouldn't order them again, which is a shame because normally food here is not too bad. But the beer was good.

4 of us girls went for a Birthday Celebration on a Saturday night at 7pm. Food was great. Looking for live music which wasn't happing inside. As we were checking out we asked about the music. Told it was outside. Which we went and enjoyed after dances and other customers enjoyment. We left. Would be helpful if customers know music and dance is outside. 👍

I enjoyed my 2x Wines outside. We had street people walking passed and coming in to beg for money...Management came and asked them to move on. While I didn't want to be harassed for money, I still felt sorry for them. Chips were nice, so was service and atmosphere.

We attended a 21st birthday party. Venue was good for a small to medium sized party. Their finger food was good but we wondered how to get into it as we didn't get the proper cutlery for it. I wish they would not be so busy so they can take time to clean their drinking glass very well as smudge of lipstick were still visible.

We go here most Tuesday nights as we love the quality of the meats provided in the Stone Grill menu. Tuesday is also two for one Stone Grill night - a lovely bonus! The beef, lamb, chicken and pork are tasty and tender and you can cook the meats to your own liking. The dipping sauces are delicious especially the garlic butter and re wine jus. You also get a nice salad and fries or roast potatoes on the side. The service is friendly and prompt and its nice to be recognised as a regular :-) Nice wine selection and two by the glass sizes which is great for the driver (standard) and non-driver (large) lol. By the bottle too of course. We live in the city and consider the decor is of a standard that it would fit right in with the new restaurants and bars there. Great to have such a lovely restaurant and bar near where we work. Great place to wind down after a busy day. Definitely recommend.

We come here every Wednesday night for Quiz night. It is a nice little pub, ample parking, food is very good although after coming every week for over a year it does get a little boring having the same thing - would be nice to see some more menu changes. Staff are friendly, prompt with orders. Little bit pricey for alcohol but on par with other venues in the area. Will continue to come back every week!

Surprise 30th and proposal (little cousins) held upstairs in their function room. Big room, unisex toilets and bar. Smokers area is tiny. Unless you walk downstairs all the time for your smoke. Loved how it's separate from the bar itself. Separate entrance as well.

Great place for a nice meal, went on a Tuesday for the 2 for 1 stone plate meal. One of the most interesting meals I have ever had. Heated stone plate was given along with raw meat, so that you could cook the meat at your own taste

My son and I called in for a beer and to listen to the live music, as I had always wanted to go there. The atmosphere was nice, the staff were friendly and the music was pretty good. A couple of lads on the guitar and drums playing some classic songs and a couple of newbys... Only spoiled by the singer not being able to resist singing the 'non edited' version of a song...I didn't appreciate it at all.

100% recommend this place, I think the waitress was a little flustered which just added to the experience of I'm honest. Delicious food, good service, and a decent selection of drinks. If you're a mushroom fan I recommend the stuffed mushrooms. Just wish there were more of them!

Their promotions they have are great however i had booked online via their website and had called the restaurant few times to confirm but to no avail. They never got our booking but the Manager was accommodating and gave us a table for 4.

Went to Black Salt on a Tuesday night for the first time, it was reasonably busy which I thought was a good sign. After being seated my daughters and I ordered drinks,when they came the barman/waiter spilled on all over my daughter. This then showed how well they treat their customers, he was very apologetic, got a cloth for her and the table, drinks were free that night and the manager came over and gave us three vouchers for a free main meal. His apology was so sincere we would have been happy with just his apology (well, mayb not my wet daughter lol). The food and the service was lovely, big portions by the way. If I lived in Auckland I would definitely come back.

Mixed feelings about service. Once I went here and got free dessert because they felt it took too long to come out, I didn't even have to ask or complain. I returned with some other friends we ordered wedges from the menu which said it was $5 but when I went to pay it was $8. They wouldn't honour the menu pricing and despite this seeming to be a known issue with the menu they didn't inform us when we ordered and haven't updated the menu.

Hmm this was hard to rate , the food was pretty good standard run of the mill pub style food but it was probably worth 4 stars however the service was appalling and they had to loose a star , the waiter forgot a drink order and when reminded still failed to make it only when reminded a second time did it get made and this was a quite mid week night , with literally 3 tables , also not once did anyone ask if we needed more drinks or of the food was okay etc , so sorry to say the service was a real disappointment.
