Z.What an absolutely excellent experience! My partner and I came here on a date for some shoestring fries and drinks. James (AKA the rule guy) suggested, after hearing what we wanted to play, that we should try "Jaipur". He was super friendly and explained the game rules extremely clearly. The game was super fun and accompanied by the fries, we had such a wonderful time and I will absolutely be planning on bringing some other friends back. Thank you!
M.I've been here a few times recently. I'm not a board game aficionado, but there are a lot of different games you can choose from. I think it would take me a few years to play them all. The food is absolutely amazing. My most recent trip I had the friend chicken tacos and a mango smoothie. Loved the nice big piece of mango on the top. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. I'll definitely be coming back here regularly.

P.Dice and Fork is such a great place to hang out with your friends and okay boardgames! The games are free, you just have to order food and drinks. They have a good range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages - I recommend the sangria jug for sharing. The food was ok, the soft tacos were nicer than the rice bowls. The platter was pretty good. Next time we will try the burgers! Amazing range of board games, so much fun.
C.Such a cool place with so much fun involved. The location is so accessible and that it doesnt get too rowdy - except for when you get too competitive with the games of course. The food is ok, not the best quality but why does it matter when you're too busy trying to win anyway. There's also drinks and happy hour roulette so that makes things even more fun. I highly recommend it the staff is great to play with as well.
K.Such an awesome place to visit with a group of friends. The food and drink service is really fast - and delicious. They also have an awesome "roll the dice" shot menu, where you get a discount if you leave which shot you get to luck and a roll of a 20 sided die.
The range of games to play is insane! Every popular card or board game I could think of was there, plus dozens and dozens more I'd never heard of. The staff are really helpful on explaining rules and game set up if you're not sure what you're doing.
G.How have I not already given this 5 stars given how much this is the perfect after work place for me? Racks and racks of unique board, table, dice, and card games complimented by themed drinks and the perfectly snackable and sharable plates. Now, I will admit that I told the owner that they should take some of their recipes back to their original versions after going here a second time, but will have to go again to see what the current versions are as they work out their menu. This place is obviously made for groups and the staff is great for happily coming by your table to help give you a quick tutorial for how to play any of the games so that you don't spend half an hour just reading the instructions. Also a great excuse for getting your team out of the office early and over here for some fun team building time.
J.We came on a Friday evening when this newly opened joint was buzzing and almost completely full. Given how busy it was, I was impressed by the staff, who were still able to deliver prompt and friendly service. Of the food, I tried the pork belly, which was very good and rivalled the same dish on many of Auckland's best menus. This is an awesome place to spend a couple of hours (or three or four) with friends and just chill and have some fun with their good selection of board and card games. I'll be back for another round soon.
B.Interesting concept of combining eating with board games (not necessarily at the same time). I found the experience a bit weird, though, perhaps due to mixing play and eating time, but it was good fun nonetheless.

V.Been coming here regularly with workmates since launch - one of the only restaurants in Auckland where you WANT the food to be slow so that you can get in another round! Service is extremely fast, and there isn't an item on the menu we dont love... Huge selection of boardgames, and the owner has an encyclopedic knowledge of them - always great if you're paralyzed by the sheer number of options! Can 100% recommend both the crispy chicken tacos and pork belly...

R.The selection of the boardgames available was large and I genuinely liked the atmosphere. There were a few people who were overly excited during their games, but that's a given. The only thing I wish the establishment could improve is their food. My salad had a rice based which wasn't cooked properly (too dry), and my mates' dishes were average (their words.)
Unlike other similar venues, Dice and Fork doesn't charge you for the time you spend, but instead, expects you to order their meals. If the quality of the food improved, this will be my favourite place.

K.I'd give a 10 star if I could! Very friendly and welcoming staffs. My friends and I always hang out here and we've celebrated a couple of my friends' birthday here. They help with taking out the surprise cake. The food is very tasty and worth it. Very comfortable environment for new and experienced gamers! Really appreciate it!

B.Friendly and welcoming staff, cosy and convivial atmosphere (sat near the fireplace which was great on a chilly day), and tasty food on the menu like soft tacos, burgers, and great shoestring chips.
Food in generous portions, and enjoyed my mango smoothie in a Mason jar mug. Wide variety of board games from which to choose, all diligently kept in good condition with all pieces present. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, and will even guide you in game selection and playing.
Can't recommend Dice&Fork highly enough, and hope to restart my Dungeons & Dragons group here for a regularly recurring treat as it's a great location for hosting a game and the staff welcome D&D tables as long as you adhere to their equitable House Rules.
T.Service was great. Ordered the Chicken Kimchi Burger, which was delicious. Right amount of crunch band spice. I was able to make it a bunless without any fuss. Their variety of games is impressive and the staff there are very helpful with explaining the rules of games. Definitely recommend.

B.Games, food and drinks this is the recipe for a great time. The food is really nice. They have such a large range of games so you'll never get bored. I've been here now multiple times and i recommend going with groups of 4+ for the most fun but i have been just 2 of us and still had an awesome time. They have games for all ages. We need more places like this you hardly see people just sitting there on their phones as your having too much fun!!

S.Such an awesome place! Went there too many times to count now. It had wide selection of tabletop games and delicious food. My go to meals were the portobello baps and mushrooms pasta. Sooo good. Also, should try their iced chocolate. Not too sweet. It's just right. This is a great place to hang out with friends and family for an extended period of time. Being loud is expected because, who played games quietly, eh? Highly recommended to go and check out.

F.Went there with a group of friends on a Thursday evening. The place has a good selection of board games, friendly staff, small menu ( food/ drinks).
Unfortunately we didn't love it as
1. the music was too loud so everyone had to speak louder and it was hard to hear and play the game.
2. They don't serve coffee as according to the barman it's expensive to buy a coffee machine now, but it's in their plans
3. The cocktails we ordered weren't great, most served in short glass etc.
Will give this place another go in a few months, and hopefully I'll be able to chance my review :)

K.Jack fruit bowl had hardly any jackfruit, rice was stodgy, bowl just lacked any flavour. Spicy “korean” chicken tasted like it was cooked yesterday, didn’t taste fried or crispy by any means. Won’t order those two dishes again. Game wise awesome selection and drink menu looked good. Just didn’t enjoy what we ordered there
K.Arranged a group event with about 30 ladies. The manager is so passionate about the fantastic games concept, spent time with our group detailing options of games to play. Tons of quality games, Great cocktails, and snack menu. Hugely successful night. Amazing fun 😃
D.Great concept with the games as part of the food experience. More effort needs to be made with the food, though (Mine was cold and we had to remind the waitress about food for one of our group). Serving staff let you get on with the games; you need to ask them if you want a dessert or extra drinks. The location is convenient and the fitout is nice. Overall, Cakes and Ladders in Symonds St has a much better gaming experience, but the food there is not good; it's a different business model, too. Dice and Fork could lift its game a bit.
A.Visiting Auckland I found this to be such a great place. Friends and I were so comfortable as we had a blast playing multiple games and enjoying great food. Fantastic layout and friendly staff. Will definitely be back. If your looking for a great game I recommend ‘Quoridor’. The staff will take time out to explain how to play!
Z.If you want somewhere where you and a couple of friends can enjoy a VAST array of board games without spending your own money purchasing all the games and extension packs. The staff were lovely and if you don't know how to play a game then they will help you through the learning process. You do have to buy a minimum of $20 in food and drink but that is an easy feat as sharing fresh food and well made drinks is no chore here (One of the best cocktails I have ever had was from here).
I will definitely be back, it is my new favorite hideaway after a long day!

M.This is fast becoming one of my favourite places! Great selection of board games and EXCELLENT service. You can really see how passionate Hayden and Kathy are about making Dice and Fork as enjoyable an experience as possible as they're constantly checking on patrons making sure they're enjoying themselves and asking for feedback. They're also always willing to suggest games, and teach (or mutually fumble through) games to others.
The fried chicken is also delicious but for those of you who need a bit of spice in their lives, make sure to ask for it to be made extra spicy (they've had to tone down the spice levels since they first opened). I've been told there's a "nuclear option" which I'm going to have to try next time I'm in.

I.Always a great experince. The game range is massive and the food is great. The staff always look after you well. As an avid boardgame fan it is great to see the collection so well looked after.

D.This place is one of my go-to spots to go with friends as they have a wonderful selection of board games and tasty dishes. If you don't know the rules of the games they have, you can always ask them to explain it to you. Also, their tacos are truly amazing.
t.Good selection of games ranging from the regular (Cluedo, Jenna, etc) to more involved games (Catan, Citadels, etc). In addition to this, the service is nice with a pleasant welcoming atmosphere & staff. Some might find the tapas-style food to be a little pricey but definitely still tasty.
C.Have been to Dice & Fork twice now - once with friends and once with family. Great selection of games. Menu is on the small size but good. Open during the day, but does not serve coffee... Apparently they are working on that, so I'll reserve a star or two until that gets sorted.

R.Highlight was the food. Crochette's were delicious - some of the best I've ever had. Good chicken bites with very generous portions. The desert tacos were delicious and the smores was fun. Very tasty cocktails. Beer list has enough to satisfy with some good craft options - but would have liked more especially as they are just bottles and the price was slightly high. And the main reason you go - the boardgames. Small but very good selection. We had no problem getting two games we had been wanting to play. Mysterium was a hit with two in our group but just ok for the other two. Pick your poison was good fun for one or two plays but will be played out quickly. The setting at Victoria park is great. It has a spacious, light and airy feel and a view to the park. We stayed six hours and it was a great way to hang out with friends.
m.Omg Dice and Fork is awesome. Food tastes so fresh. I loved the fish and the the roast pumpkin salad. I had the fried chicken Tacos and shoestring fries & croquettes - All was delicious. Now the games - where do I begin. What an amazing collection, my new favourite to play has to be Santorini hands down. The staff were amazing especially Hayden thank you for fulfilling our table requests I loved our table and also for teaching us how to play Santorini.
Will definitely be coming back here again will try more games and more of the menu for sure. Can't wait.

J.Really good food and great atmosphere! We ate the fried chicken tacos and soft shell crab tacos. The fried chicken was out of this world! Also had the side of shoestring fries which were perfectly cooked. I tried the Gin Sour drink which was tasty. Good selection of beers as well as full bar.
Had plenty of great games! Dominion, Dixit, Power Grid, Catan, 7 Wonders, Articulate, Ticket to Ride, Incan Gold, Sequence, Uno... And so many more!
