G.Nice little pub with a decent pint of Guinness. Friendly welcoming staff.
Food, however, leaves a lot to be desired. Sausages were overcooked and very, very dry. Fish while obviously fresh, was also overdone too by a few minutes. Not saying food was horrible, but could have been so much nicer.
Molten chocolate pudding, though was very nice 🙂 Just a shame about the mains...
P.The atmosphere was good and presentation of food was so appetising. Good service but would be great if there is not much time taken but I had a good experience.
M.Nice atmosphere with the fires going. Was there for a 21st upstairs. Could've done with a bit more seating around but was great. Outdoor area was well set up except for the lighting above the dart board was wrong. Need more non alcoholic drinks for sober drivers. Staff very friendly. Well done. Will visit again on another occasion. 💜💜
M.I stumbled across this pub while exploring the neighborhood in 2019. Atmosphere looked great so I grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered a Guinness. A group was seated at large table and played various instruments and sang random songs. It was a fantastic experience.
M.Came her Friday after work for few drinks & dinner. Got light menu, lamb pie & mash potatoes for $17.50. Good value for $$, couldn't finish it! Great, friendly warm staff, and the live music from Gerry was great. I'd go back :)
J.The best pub food in Auckland. Never disappointed with any of the choices. Always wins awards for lamb and beef. Went again this wet weekend and had the beef Wellington and partner had the pasta. Large serving, pasta was the best she has had. Not bad for an Irish pub. Service is great, lots of Irish voices at the tables, and no tacky Irish decorations like the franchise pubs.
D.I go out of my way to eat here, a great place for a drink and award winning beef and lamb and pub meals.
G.When you're in an area well out of your usual routine and you happen to be passing an Irish pub that's been on your to-visit list for ages, you have to stop in for a Guinness! Unfortunately I'm here an hour before the kitchen opens, and after seeing pics of the plates from other reviews, I MUST come back for dinner someday.
Love the traditional Ireland pub feel that I got to see first hand; it's just like being home. Plus, the do the absolute necessity for a proper pub, play Irish music, not some top 40s radio.
