B.I have nothing but positives to say about my outing to Dice and Slice. Food was fairly inexpensive but brilliant, music was on point, aesthetic was warm and homely in a way, board game selection was massive, and the staff were incredibly friendly and polite. The highlight of my visit were the quirky "potions" on the cocktail menu - I had a potion of endurance and was overwhelmingly impressed with the way it was presented, and it tasted absolutely fantastic! This was a truly magical experience, I expect I may become a regular visitor.
J.Interesting place. Great variety of games and the staff are knowledgeable about the rules so very easy to get up and going quick. The great atmosphere really helps with feeling comfortable to play for plenty of time. Pizza slices are of a goodly size and taste good. Good range of booze. Beer, wine, and a few cocktails. Nice teas. Prices are pretty standard for a nicer end bar. Cool place, would go again.
G.Can't recommend this place more! I've been there 3 times already and will always suggest it when going out with friends. They have a huge range of boardgames to suit any group of people. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful they make the environment feel like home. Finally the food/drinks are amazing! Best cocktails I've ever had and the pizza is delicious (also decently priced).
N.I have never been a board games sort of person... or that's what I thought before visiting Dice&Slice. The first time I went, I didn't really know how to start or pick a game even, but luckily Chris -the owner- was there to give me a hand and some good recommendations (like my favourite board game ever: Azul <3). The rest is history. I can't stop going to Dice&Slice as it became one of my favourite places in Christchurch. It has everything! A massive selection of board games (one for everybody pretty much), delightful cocktails and tap beer, yummy pizza (feta & mushrooms is my fav one), the coolest and more friendly staff in the whole world <3, and a great location in town. If you live here or you're just visiting ChCh this is a MUST GO! I have taken all my friends to this place and every one of them loved it as much as I do. I promise you will too.

C.Fills a gap I didn’t even realise Christchurch was missing! I went for the Friday night opening and was so impressed that I brought friends back for my birthday treat on Sunday! Amazing first impression - a beautiful cozy, vibrant atmosphere yet quiet enough that you can easily hear everyone at your table, and a very relaxed vibe. Staff are so helpful and friendly, the service great and food is affordable and delicious - the pizza slices are huge! A great range of drinks (including excellent coffee open late!) and I especially love the “potions” - a fun novelty drink. And the range of games to choose from is fantastic. We played group card games but I can’t wait to come back for a board game next time! My friend’s son joined us on Sunday afternoon and loved playing mousetrap and with the barrel of monkeys. The level 2 restrictions (due to covid) were adhered to well too. Very well done, team! Thank you for making my birthday special with a sign too, and we all thought that this is the perfect spot for us to catch up. Can’t wait to come back and you deserve the glowing review here!

P.Very cool place. Lots n lots of board games. Fun with friends. Limited food options but what is available is delicious. Pays to book a table. This place is quite busy. Neat cocktails. Aesthetically pleasing and tasty.
s.You enter, buy some drinks and food. Now, you have access to an huge and incredible catalog of board games. I love how you don't need to pay an extra fee to enter, it means the customers who go in will be normal!

Small venue so if there is a group of you it's best to book in ahead. Very limited food options.
But what is available is very nice. Great friendly service. Lots of really cool board and card games to choose from.

C.Down in Christchurch for the weekend and decided to visit Dice & Slice to play a board game and what a LOVELY experience.
First of all, they don't charge you to play the games which is amazing! Then, they had Man O' War on the menu, a superb selection of games, staff willing to teach customers how to play games and DELICIOUS pizza- which might I add the slice was huge! The music was great and the staff were really nice to chat to!
It is quite a small venue which seemed to be filling up quickly while we were there so it might be wise to book so you're not disappointed!
D.As a Christchurch local, this is one of my favorite places to go for a drink with friends that includes a wide selection of quality board games. The staff are very friendly and are more than happy to teach you a game if they know how to a it.
Christchurch's best kept secret, but I doubt it will be for long :)
G.If you want to get into games but don't know much, just stop in with some friends, grab a pint a start playing.
Excellent selection of games and great staff that will join you for a game if it's not too busy.
Minimal food selection is OK. Wouldn't expect more with everything else around. Nice desserts.

B.Me and my partner went here for dinner tonight and it was amazing :) The food was great, reasonably priced, and served quickly. All the staff were super friendly and gave us perfect recommendations on the best game to play for what style we wanted and the amount of time we had. Awesome place to go on dates/take friends etc. Will be going again.
Also, if you play 'Escape the Dark Castle'. Good luck. You'll need it.

J.Love this place. Staff are *super* lovely, board game selection is amazing, drinks menu is extensive (both alcoholic & non-alcoholic options) and the food hits the spot (gf, veggie & vegan options). Highly recommend! Can get busy so book a table if you're in a big group.
T.I came here with 8 friends from my dungeons and dragons group. We all got cocktails (or potions) which we all thought were cheap compared to other places. The cocktails presentation was amazing, the taste was fantastic and the bar staff surprised me with a random joke which honestly made my day. We also got food which was rad. The selection of games was great. Everything just felt cool, like a cut of class. My 2 criticisms would be the small table (we did have 8 people though) and we ran out of sauce (but we didn't ask for more and I use a lot)

L.Love this place! The staff are so lovely and spend time showing you how to play the games if you need help. There's lots of games. The food is lovely and has vegan options. The only thing is the price is a little high, however the staff and games balance that out just nicely.

A.Great games cafe, probably the best I've been to. Pizza looks special, and you can get groovy themed drinks in potion bottles. Man, they know their audience! Service is odd under level 2 lockdown, but it's still humming. Game selection is interesting, including gloomhaven and fog of love as well as the usuals. Will be back.

We went for our mates birthday and couldn't of asked for a better place to be. Prices are very fair and will be made a regular even though we don't live in town. L.Great service, great cocktails, but expensive mizza by the slice ($8 a slice of basic margarita pizza + $1-2 per topping...). The Trivial Pursuit is VERY old and focus on questions that Millenials can't really answer (Entertainment was mostly 70-80's related... sad) so quite a bummer, but they have Cards Against Disney and that gave me life ! Plus the service was super friendly and that's really important.
