Reviews of Smash Palace
M.Good place to go for some good beers. The french fries were absolute dynamite. The patio is Dog friendly making this bar absolutely awesome. I will certainly be back again. Make sure to bring a jacket as we got cold as soon as the sun let off and I believe it's all outdoors.
N.My favoutie bar for the last 10 years plus. The owners are just the best. They have done so well. Earthquakes an d now covid. Special place. Xx
J.Cool outdoor venue, great during summer. Boodgie beer is pretty average but does come in real 568ml pints.
A.I appreciate much of the burger was homemade but I just found it quite average, a little dry and lacking in flavour. The chips were also very average. Cute location though and friendly service.
A.It had great sounds, that is what led us to it. Funky bar outta bus..the burgers were inner city prices & the ones we saw definetly weren't $16 worth & you had to pay extra for slaw &/or chips.
G.Smash Palace is a solid institution and I hope it remains long into Christchurch's future. Its a nice distillation of the city's post quake spirit and kiwi ingenuity. Everything new in the rebuild is all a bit too shiny for my liking and this reminds me of what the Dux used to feel like. Good music, nice staff and security.
P.Nice place to sit outside in the sunshine on a hot day. Good atmosphere, music, food and drinks served from a bus.
W.When I am traveling through Christchurch, Smash Palace is always my go to stop for a delicious burger. They also have some really great beers on tap.
