We have been probably 10 times and never had a bad meal or experience. The food is really tasty, amazing value for money and the staff are always really welcoming and friendly. Our 5 year old daughter loves coming here and getting a "traffic light" juice.

Friendly service but more attention to the large ham and salad dish would have made it tastier. It lacked side dressings like a mustard and sweet sauce or pineapple. We should have asked for the cooked veges instead. Waiters need to remember to ask us how we like the meal during the session. Could they use an oven glove if they have to carry hot plates as they did have to?

Went for dinner tonight at Mitchell's tonight and was pleasantly surprised. Got the ribeye steak and it was cooked to perfection, accompanied by chunky chips, fresh salad and a lovely mushroom sauce. Kids had a traffic light drink, a kids roast and a ice cream for a unbelievable $9. If that's not value for money I don't know that is and I am scottish!! The service was quick, kids meals out first and the staff were lovely. Good food at a good price, definitely will be going back. We'll done.

Cheap food, but little atmosphere, granted it is a bar.. Large plates. I enjoyed mine, but others at our table didn't. I had the fettuccine, but it wasn't like fettuccine, it was pasta in a creamy sauce, with fried chicken and mushrooms added, and red onion. My son had the rib eye. He was happy.

Have been going here on and off for a few years now. It's a very popular place as its really just your basic pub meal. Has been that way for a long time now. Must admit would love to see a change to the menu as it can get boring, same old same old. Very clean, definitely covid responsible as you cannot even go to the bar. They serve you for bar and food. Straight thru from the dining room is the gaming room which I think also helps bring people in so they can combine the 2. There is a car park but at times parking can be a pain to try and find a place to park. Staff very friendly and efficient. So perhaps it would pay to book a table if you decide to go.

Have been to Mitchells twice this week and can't fault service or the food. Staff are very friendly and obliging, food was delicious and hot. Don' t understand negative comments as I have NEVER had a bad meal there in the last ten years. On Thursday there was a big crowd of us (approx 40), and our orders were taken at the table and the wait staff were lovely, especially with so many people at once, plus other diners as well!!!!!!

My daughter and I visited here in May this year.Very busy local pub. Very friendly staff managed to find us a table.We both were hanging out for a good roast and were so delighted with our meal that we finished of with sticky date pudding. Absolutely wonderful. Plentiful and reasonably priced. If we are back down this way again would definitely eat here again and recommend to anyone. Might be good idea to book a table .we went during the week and the place was rocking.

A few weekends ago we had a family gathering at Mitchell's Tavern. We had interred my Dad's ashes and 40 of us met at the Tavern for lunch. The meals were tasty and well presented and we were all served in a timely fashion. What really made the difference for us as a family was the extra mile the Tavern had gone to for us. Our tables had lovely printed sheets with flowers and the words In loving memory. They had also printed copies of Dad's obituary from the ODT and had spread them around our tables. We were all so touched by their thoughtfulness.

Food was of the usual yummy standard but unfortunately service was a let down for us. Group booking and meals took a long time to come and came at different times instead of all coming to the table at one time. Dessert orders were forgotten and had to make inquiries after 20 minutes waiting. Disappointing but put it down to bad day as normally service is much better and good pub grub.

Great place to go for good honest food. The menu is extremely well priced. The the staff are really friendly and accommodating. It is usually busy so if you can, book ahead in advance to get a table... If not they can usually accommodate you with a small wait. I really like the schnitzel because the gravy is really good.

Love Mitchells! Great family environment, cheap and big meals that arent too fancy. Great value for money and the staff are amazing! However make sure to book in as this place is always full! They do lunches from 11am and dinner from 5 pm I believe and have seasonal menus that always have some old favorites and new stuff to try. Have been here so many times and will continue to return as the food is so good. Really good for us having 3 young children , the staff are so child friendly and children's menu has awesome variety and $5.50 for all of these.
