G.One of the best pubs in the whole Dominion, real character, they pour a decent Guinness, real folk music, friendly staff- everything you could ask for in an Irish pub!

Food is good. It is not 'Fancy' but very tasty 'comfort food'. I had a Guinness beef pie which was yummy! Prices are relatively low, for a change!

Expect to pay a dollar extra for drinks on Friday and Saturday nights as the live band gets the surcharge

H.We came on a Sunday for a live Blues music event and it was great! I ordered the Jack Daniel's burger and it was made perfectly and the chips were delicious. Very moderate prices too!
N.I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The front and side garden section gave a great feeling for being able to either sit outside or partially covered. I loved the front bar for patrons and the back bar for special events. The staff were friendly and helpful. I appreciated the ramps for the less able bodied and those who find steps not as navigable a great help. I will hope to visit again to experience their warm hospitality.

A.Awesome little place. Loved how welcoming everyone was. Quiz was a lot of fun and would suggest everyone to try it out. Karaoke is always a blast. Loved the pizza! Had the 3 meats and the cheesy garlic one. Very yummy
B.Very friendly staff. Attentive and excellent service. The cook went out of his way to help my wife with her vegetarian order.

Biddys have revamped things and I now think it’s great value and good food along with the same nice atmosphere as before. Definitely worth a visit. See original review below.
Food was a little underwhelming given the price. Nice atmosphere though.
B.This is a fantastic place to have a function. I recently went to a 21st here and it was perfect. The really nice thing was that you didn't have to go through bar patrons to get to it. The interior design is rustic timber palings so lends itself well to decorating many themes.

D.On a uni trip with 15 or so people. Service was good and Irish folk music in the background topped off the experience. Fairly reasonably priced too. Overall we left full, merry and a little tipsy, would highly recommend 👌

J.Went to this bar on Saturday (early evening). Before then, was probably a good 12-15yrs ago. Definitely not how it use to be...but I guess time changes. The barman was great (good customer service). However judging from the patrons, I think this bar would be good for the older crowd (50yrs+) or it could have just been too early????
A.Not too bad of a bar. Only 4/5 because the table was very small considering we had booked for a larger number of people.
Despite this, good food, excellent service, and a positive atmosphere.

F.Biddy's is a bit like a local pub in the CBD during the week. In the weekends it is more of a night club for the 35+ age group, and hosts live music.
They also have two, reasonably priced function rooms: one with a capacity of around 150 people, the other, around 30.

D.We we're a group (of 10) from Tassie here for sport. We rocked up to Biddy's with 20 mins left for service and the AWESOME staff very thankfully moved people around for us so we could all be seated together. We were starving and then out came our amazing meals! Great service, great big meals and cool locals = a GREAT day!!

J.Recently held a Fundraiser in the 'back bar'. The support received to hold this event was incredible. Not only did Biddy's sponsor our event, they also arranged the flyers etc. Thank you so much to management and staff for a fun filled and successful evening.

H.If you like live music, good positive vibes, delicious food, fun loving people and beer then I would surely recommend Biddy's, they're amazing. A must go on Friday and Saturday nights... Absolutely great fun

P.great Irish beers on tap. Kilkenny as smooth and creamy as if we were in Kinsale. Irish music playing as we arrive, eventually a guitarist and bassist started a jam session. best bar in NZ bc it had traps already set up (rare). We found some sticks and had a nice sesh! you never know what will happen.
