We enjoyed the Thai Beef salad and drinks outside waiting for the band to begin. The first drink the bar tender gave me was not water I ordered. I'm gluten free and he gave me a beer with barley in it - I wasn't feeling very well the next day, had to drag myself out of bed and struggle to get stuff done. 🦥🦥🦥

What an amazing little bar! Was my first time here tonight and was not disappointed! Is a small bar that had brilliant music from Stretch. There is a little dance floor, several different rooms and alcoves. The furniture is an eclectic mix of lounge chairs, occasional tables, regular tables and chairs, couches and outdoor furniture for the garden bar. Central city location, oodles of parking right there, great staff, excellent service and just an all round great place to have an awesome time

Awesome place, great environment, lots of smaller seating (that can get grouped together for more people) relaxed atmosphere, brilliant selection of drinks and tasty food combos. Favourite place in Hastings if not all Hawkes bay!

Wicked little place, blink and you'll miss it, tucked in between a few shops near cornucopia, it doesnt have a big flashy front, but it's all about the relaxed atmosphere inside. Live music and comedy, plenty of strange craft beers and wines, with the garden bar out back and couches for the most relaxed one of your group. This place has got the right feel to chill out and catch up with your friends. Even on a Wednesday night it was full and the live dj was doing his thing. All walks of life welcome, great spot for tourists and backpackers.

I love the decor, so much imagination. The beer menu wasn't written down which made ordering a beer a bit more difficult. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was really cool, there was a band playing at one point and the menu and food were good.

Loved the setting, drinks were ok but no beers I liked on tap sadly. It was a little pricey but pretty cool place to hang out. I like the way its kind of divided up into areas with furniture and I loved the decore. Friendly staff too which makes the visit so much better.

Best place in hastings/hawks bay. We went all the time and always had a great night. Normally have to pay 10 bucks to get in. Really quirky furnishing. Amazing crowd ranging from 18-99, all friendly and interesting. Never any trouble in there and is not the place for beauty queens and drunken teens. Go even if you don't know the music, we've had some great surprises in there!

Just woaaa ! That's an incredible garden beer !!! We waled around HASTINGS which was on our way to Wellingthon, and we saw the facade of this bar. It caught our attention . We didn't expect that !! The best bar in the bay by far!! Host Gerard and crew are super friendly superb hosts and make sure customers all have a good time. It's rare to go to a bar as a couple in your 40s and leave with 6 or 7 new mates you just met as it was all soo friendly. But that's the vibe encouraged here. This is a MUST visit when u go to the Bay..

This has to be rated 5 stars! This is a cozy place with outside fire for them colder nights nearly always a live band from jazz to the to jokes. You will always find yourself near frienldy service from wonderful staff, final words... Always left here in a great mood

This is the best place to relax and catch up with mates in Hawke's Bay. The music that comes through is a mix of local and international artists. Always a good time. Common Room has been the local for roughly 3 years now! Great selection of craft beers and wine from all over.

My sister and I went there last week for the first time, what a great time we had. The staff were great and the wine was great too, so relaxation and such a friendly place even the other patrons were open and friend Shame they don,t open earlier went there today fora wine and a chat but damn it all closed up, you guys are doing a great job pat yourselves on the back.
