J.Had a crumbd camonbert cheese for an entre and a steak meal for my main. For a pub meal this was fantastic. Great service, nice clean surrounds, a chef who knows how to cook a steak to perfection and beautiful free range eggs with it. The new owners will do extremely well if my first meal is anything to go by. Well done team you have completely satisfied customers.

M.Although Kaponga has very little in the way of amenities or places of interest, it is a great little town with a lovely historic hotel. The hotel has recently been totally refurbished and is nothing like an old musty 19th century hotel / pub. The management was very friendly and we had a great meal. It was a great spot to stay before heading up to Dawson Falls.

B.My family and me love the food great entertainment area and we had a king bed room and the bed was comfortable to sleep on and it is very good here and close to the mountain bathroom is also great. we wanted to come and visit area's when we were on our road trip recommend people to come here awesome family and friendly environment and the staff here is friendly with a smile AAA for service

B.7 of us stayed in the "Stucco House" while we attended a funeral in Oeo. It was perfect! The house has been refurbished beautifully! Very large and spacious, had everything we needed and more. Lots of fresh towels, body wash, bread and milk and a range of cereal which we weren't expecting. As very clean and the staff were lovely. We definitely enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend.
J.I am amazed at the kindness of the staff. My friend and I came to them with a very unique problem, and they immediately did everything they could to help, even more than we asked for. We felt very welcome, and were smoothly helped through what we had feared would be a very awkward encounter.
Apart from that, the rooms and facilities are clean, and a lot nicer than you'd expect from a hotel in a rundown place such as Kaponga.
R.We had a company function at the Kaponga hotel, and booked out the entire facility. I can't speak to the rooms, but the pub side of things was good. The place is nice and open plan, with big bifold doors which lead to the outdoor area. Brillant views of the mountain from the outdoor area, and the indoor / outdoor fireplaces kept us warm throughout.
On the food side of things, they did well to keep up with the number of staff we had. It was a mixture of finger foods, wraps and other small meals that we could grab as required. It all tasted really good and seemed to be in endless supply.
P.Warm atmosphere, value for money, tasty food: served with a smile by friendly, welcoming staff. We'll be back again!!xx
J.Entry via bar. Convivial atmosphere. Between bar and stairs to room is office and kitchen. Queen room was a double with broken bedside lights. Pricey, I thought.
