Really friendly staff and owners. We didn't book but they accommodated us in the dining area out back (which actually suited us perfectly as its nice and quiet, away from the bar patrons out front) The food was really good too. For starters we had the cheese scone balls and fried chicken, both were great but the chicken was so so flavourful moist and delicious! For main course I had the steak special and the steak was cooked to rare spot on, my partner had the chicken burger and that was really really good. And the brownie for dessert topped it all off. Overall great food and really friendly staff and owners. Thanks for a nice night out :)

Great place to get dinner in Methven. Was bustling midweek and I'm glad I made a booking. $20 burger and pint special was awesome! Beef burger was hands down the best burger we've ever had! Fast and friendly service, we'll definitely be back next time.

Tasteful food, cozy environment and great price! We were in 4 friends and we all had different orders, and they were all amazing! I had the Vegetarian Burger and it was delicious! Will definitely be back!

The Green Parrot catered for a large group of friends and colleagues with an excellent service and amazing meals. The highlights of the entree menu are the halloumi fries with tasty couscous and the exquisite cheese balls served warm with butter. I had the lamb burguer as a main and I would have it again and again! The balance of flavors is great and it's paired with delicious rustic-style chips. This is a place not to be missed. Will be back!

Highly recommend this place! Great vibe with the live band on a Saturday, very friendly staff, and the food is some of the best I've ever had. I will definitely be visiting again

We had a burger and fish and chips. Food was great, and Lee was extra kind. The atmosphere was really nice too, will definitely consider going back next time we're in town :)

We dined here on a Sunday night. It was very quiet, and the lack of patrons had me feeling sad for the bar staff. However, the steak was perfect and greatly enjoyed by my wife and I.

Great Meal, Service and Atmosphere

More like a bar than restaurant. The grilled salmon was a bit salty due to the marinated coating on the skin. The meal and side dishes were dry; lack of gravy and sauce. Also, it was a small portion size. Overall, the taste is alright for a bar meal. Would I go back? Maybe for drinks but not for dinner.

I went on Wednesday night which had a $18 burger, chips and beer special. Had the spicy beef burger which was delicious. Would give it 5 stars but the only beer was speights 😤

The lady who served had such awesome people skills & was great with the kids! The food was amazing, i eat alot of steak & the steak i had there was the best ive had by far. Would love to go back
