This place is a breath of fresh air! First place in NZ so far I've found proper chewy NYC style bagels. Can't wait to come back. Regular coffee size is pretty tiny (basically a thimble) but definitely tasty

Would totally recommend. Awesome coffee, the best bagels in the Bay and the staff are soooo lovely and create a nice friendly environment. There is also a BEAUTIFUL outdoor area out the back amongst the trees and with heaters in winter too. Enjoy!

Shop is vibey and staff are very friendly and professional. The bagels were good, but toasted a tad too crispy making it rather difficult to cut through with the butter knives provided. Next time I'll probably just ask for a fresh bagel, not a toasted one. It has a private out back, and it's surprisingly big. Lots of seating and shade making it perfect for even a larger gathering.

Little guy bagel and brew was reccomended highly to me by many people before my holiday to Tauranga and I am so happy that I went. Incredible bagels, beautiful coffee, fantastic service and the best vibe ever from a cafe. Me and my wife especially loved the garden area you could sit in. Cheers team. Great bagels and great coffee! Asked for a ‘dirty chai’ (chai latte with a coffee shot) and since they only do steeped chai they offered me a shot of espresso on the side. I love places that can adapt and go the extra mile just to make someone’s day a little better. Will definitely be back often. Thank you guys for the great experience!

Great place with friendly owners and delicious bagels <3 I haven't tried the coffee yet so need to come back! Don't hesitate to drop by this great little cafe (with a very spacious garden area which is happy to host your doggies and bikes)

Amazing! Delicious NYC bagel that definitely reminds me of the sort of thing you'd have in New York! Yummy relish, sausage + ketchup and mustard. Went in to grab a cream cheese bagel and a coffee, yet did *not* expect such a unique spin on bagels. Gotta love walking in and hearing The Beatles being played from the start to the end of the album too. Wicked stuff!

We had what could have been a negative experience turned into a 10 star visit. Came in (2 adults 2 toddlers) to order 3 coffees and 3 bagels. The coffees came out promptly and were awesome. We sat in a gorgeous garden hideaway out the back (which is the best kept secret I’ve seen from an eatery). We then sat for a while longer, a little too much longer. We were wondering where the food was, whether to go and enquire…eventually the kids were getting restless and we were wandering around the garden and happened upon a staff member. We asked about the progress of the bagels. It became known (not unbelievably to us) that the food had been forgotten about. It was now just after closing time so things were being packed away and it was no longer really possible to prepare the bagels we had ordered. However, it was then that we were graced with some of the most amazing customer service either of us have seen. We were not only refunded (for the coffees as well as the bagels), we were given a voucher and some undressed bagels to take with us. The staff were incredibly sincere with their regret and apology. I cannot imagine a world in which this response would cause me to not return to this wonderful establishment. Can’t wait to see how good the bagels are with the vibrant ingredients on offer. We are beyond impressed, grateful and eager to return! Thanks for the spectacular customer service experience team. Seriously demonstrating how it’s done right. See you soon! (Edited to add that the jalapeño bagel we devoured on the way home with nothing on it was INSANELY DELICIOUS)

Great bagels with consistently amazing coffee. You can really tell that they know their craft! This is my go to place for study breaks as it's right across the road from the Mount Maunganui library. You can't beat the garden out the back on a sunny day – highly recommend!

I’ve had 25 years catering experience and know when someone says mmmm more that three times when eating you know the food is good. I watched my friend eat a bagel at this cafe today and after licking her lips and saying that was bloody beautiful you know it’s good. ( I’m coeliac so I just tested the coffee) Thanks Sam and crew. The garden was also lovely to sit in.

Simplicity balanced with excellence. Nailing the basics of superb coffee and nomnom bagels, whilst bringing in some surprises like local blended loose leaf tea, nitro brew and a secret garden... Bella is there in the background to do the doing until it's done, flexing her smile without breaking a sweat. Will & Sam front up with remarkably personable service that values their patrons, that they are even on a first name basis with dozens, which made this place became my community hub to meet locals. They were key people in making my Mount Maunganui experience a positive one. At Little Guys not only do you see the Humans, you feel the Humanity. Ka pai tō mahi!
