We dined in then got takeaways the following night. Meals were decent enough and had an adequate selection. Enjoyed dining outside (and away from the loud jukebox) and also had a kids play area. The fish & chip takeaways were also good, however the burger wasn’t that nice.

Even though food is delicious, I must say the quantity of Chips in fish n chips was very low, not worth the price

Very friendly staff and nice environment. Walked into the bar and near every staff and patron greets you with a smile and a friendly hello. Me and my 4 year old absolutely loved the whole experience. We ate outside in the garden area. Small plastic playground for my girl to play on whe we waited for our lunch. Thank you Mahia. It was a blast 🥰

Instant friendly vibe...been here heaps lately and always enjoy ourselves...the food is typical kiwi pub kai and on point..staff are helpful and friendly...we love going there...

Traveled to Mahia for lunch on a cool Sunday excellent food with large servings great service. As the temperature was a bit low though the only thing missing was some heating other wise top notch will definitely be returning to try other meals

The following review which we provided has been wrongly attributed to Sunset Point, Mahia - it is actually a review for the excellent SANCTUARY LODGE , Mahanga Road, Mahia. "Would highly recommend. Amazing views of the Mahia Peninsula from the deck. The cabin was equipped with everything you could need and the décor was outstanding. Dean and Lorna were very friendly and welcoming and provided a wealth of information. Fantastic accommodation for two people." However the Sunset Point Bar/Restaurant in Mahia is an excellent place for drinks and dinner, but the above review does not refer to their establishment. Something went wrong Google!!
