Lovely accommodating staff, and friendly.. I was able to get some gluten free meals there which was very nice, the steak meal was gf comes with salad and fries but if you are celiac do not have them, so I opted for the mash which was nice.. The list with black stars can be made gf but again you can't have the fríes.. The other meals are not gf they are just meals my friends got 😁

Awesome pint oh sorry pint's of Guinness, only went in for one, had to get a taxi back, best Guinness I have had in a long time, that good went back following afternoon !!! Lovely meal, super friendly helpful staff.

Very quite during the day. We were in for a drink around 4.30pm and no one else in site except in their pokie room. Thought about getting a meal but we didn't stay long sorry no atmosphere. Probably rocks at night or on the weekends.

Great food and great service! (The chips are to die for!) Staff is super friendly and the owner sometimes waits tables too. The bar is located in a corner, it has in and outside seating; if you opt for the second option, you can enjoy the parade of pimped rides, which are very common in this town.

A wonderful little Celtic bar with very reasonable prices. The key plus points of this place are the extra friendly staff and the really cool environment they have set up to emulate a typical Irish pub. The quiz nights are cool too. I have taken one star off for the lack of variety of food available and another star off because the steak came improperly and unevenly cooked. Their wedges are brilliant though. Highly recommended for anyone who likes the typical pub environment...especially on St Patrick's day!

Great food in New Plymouth. Daily specials are fairly priced and large portions. I would give this place 5 stars if there were waiters/waitresses that came to your table to take your order - need to order at the bar. Great atmosphere and certainly will be going back next time I am in New Plymouth.

Both entrees were had are great. Fish and spaghetti. Beer and cocktails are also good. The wait was a little long and our orders got messed up twice, but they were friendly and the beer was good to make up for it.

Nice clean bar. Gaming room very cramped. I ordered the roast of the day with all the trimmings....a little disappointed but the flavour was nice. Didn't have the yorkshire pudding that was printed as included and queried this. Apparently they had none left but a substitute or discount was not offered. Staff were friendly and polite.

The Professor McFussy and I were at a loose end between engagements. It was a cold August day in New Plymouth and that's chilly. Stepped into the warm and uncrowded bar in the middle of town, ordered a beer and libations for the Professor. Found a spot by the faux fire for some screen time. The Professor ordered salt and pepper squid to help the libation go down. The squid was quick to the table, tasty and easy to eat. Pleasant staff, music on the jute box and no moaning from the Professor. What else is there....
