H.Sunday lunch 1st experience. The real cook was not available but the bar stepped up and provided an amazing steak meal. Reasonable pricing a nice quiet space to eat and relax in. Will definitely be back again with all the family. Might be a new regular.

c.Good for a quite drink. Been to a comedy festival here was fun. If you are new to town an wanting to come here for a drink by yourself I would recommend other places unless you have Chuck Norris or The Hells Angel's for an entourage to look after you. Always a few fights outside on the weekend. But the place itself is a palmy icon and very well known. If you get of a intercity bus an have a dry mouth or need to quench your thirst because your mates are late picking u up then this is literally a hop step and a jump from the square!
J.Great atmosphere, don't let the looks deceive you, this is a genuine old style kiwi bar and the meals are incredibly good and well priced, I would recommend the chicken schnitzel. There are also lots of events here like live music and stand up comedy. L
s.Well Topless waitresses are happening every Friday from 31 May in Royal Hotel. Royal hotel tavern in Palmy has very good Free kereoke on Wed Thursday 9.00 pm..to 2.00 am, come on down. Has hot finger foods. Good beers and drinks. A safe place to enjoy the crowd and the ambience. I have returned after holidaying 5 months overseas. This place has gone busier. And it is fun to know that. They work hard so they deserve to prosper . God bless.

r.Was a mean place for rock gigs back in the day. Also pretty cool when i got to kick it with the radio dj of "the Rev" when it was broadcast out of a room upstairs.
d.Went to a comedy show there, then afterwards to the main bar for a beer. The comedy side was good... The patrons in the main bar were not. Saw a fight. Can recommend going to a comedy show there, much different vibe than going to the main bar!
N.Free poker nights Wednesdays and the more drinks and food u buy the more chips u get, and there meals are awesome, they range threw from burgers, finger food to steak meals and kareoke after always a good night.
M.Good place to party Wednesday and Thursday nights karaoke so go along and see if you can win the $50 bar tab
