Reviews of Cargo Cellar Door

This is one of our favourite spots in the area. The setting is gorgeous and I love that it is super laid back.
We shared a bowl of fries and the smoked fish pate which were delicious. The thing I love about this place is the ability to make up a tasting flight from an amazing wine list as well as beers. It is the perfect place to laze in the sun and enjoy trying some wines and beers.
M.
Lovely and very professional service. Great choice of tasting for both wine and beer.
We did the pinot noir tasting and try the halloumi blood orange and beetroot salad.
Wine was very nice and the waitress provided very good explanations about the growing conditions of the grapes.
The food was very nice and well seasonned.
All the staff was very warm and friendly. The place is very humble with beautiful products. The venue is very nice with the small church and the spacious outside area. Lot of outdoor activities available.

This hidden gem is AMAZING!!!
It's a little out of town but well worth the drive or bike ride.
The staff were wonderful, the food was delicious, they even made a basic margarita pizza taste delicious and how cute is their coffee?!
Their menu is very minimal, it's mainly share plates and platters perfect for couples and groups
T.
Great spot for a Monday afternoon wine tasting. There were no crowds when we arrived on a Hop on hop off bus. Nice wines and beer to try, I loved their haloumi and prosciutto salad, even though haloumi was cut into thin slices rather than steaks. Went down a treat with a glass of pinot gris

This is a great place for a relaxed lunch. They have beer and wine tastings (and you can do mixed tastings) and have very nice food to share (some pizzas and other lite snacks). There are nice views and heaps of space with various games and things around to keep kids or active groups happy.
Staff were very friendly

This brewery is wonderful! Both beer and wine options as well as many food choices. Beautiful grounds with tons of outdoor seating options with shade. Yard games available including a trampoline!

Loved this spot. Good beer, views, and people. We spent about 3 hours here during a bike tour from Arrow Town. Trails all the way there. Would highly suggest checking this place out if you like craft beer.

Everything about this place was perfect. We ordered the meat platter, baked brie and the wine tasting option. We particularly enjoyed the chorizo in the platter and the baked brie. Our visit coincided with that of a huge tour group which made the service longer but we didn't really mind because we were enjoying the ambiance too much to notice. Overall, we will definitely visit again if we are ever in Queenstown.

Nice place for a couple of drinks and a snack.
Quite good beer, strangely served from cans rather than draft, maybe it ran out because of the Christmas holiday period.
Good pizza and sharing plates. Nice extensive lawn with plenty of space
D.
Amazing beers and very friendly staff. Location is perfect and the building is beautiful. I wish I could live here.
L.
Great atmosphere and yummy beer tastings and selections. The staff were fun and accommodating.

Loved sitting outside here enjoying a beer flight and playing some of the outdoor games they had available. It was a great afternoon in a beautiful location. Thanks guys!

We came here yesterday and did beer tasting, the ipa is great! Great for families and the kids platter for just $10 fed my 3 kids some healthy snacks on our otherwise unhealthy holiday (kids meals never have enuf vege, but their platter is so good). We came back again today as found it so handy with their big feild and the games and toys they put out for us to enjoy, keep kids happy and we get to enjoy ourselves playing a game of bat down while having a wine. Great waitresses and a cool dog cassie to all enjoy! Perfct!

Stopped by during our wine, bike and dine experience with Gibbston valley winery. This was a beautiful little spot. We enjoyed and beer and played a couple games before heading on our way. Must see little gem in Queenstown!
S.
Loved this place. Fantastic beer and wines, delicious platters and gorgeous location. Games for everyone too. Oh and super cute dog 😊
J.

Beautiful place !! Good wine and beer ! Ordered a pizza and Ploughman's platter - Yumm ! Friendly staff !

After being turned away by 3 major eateries on Easter Monday because they wouldn't take in a walk in group of 18 we stumbled upon Cargo . What amazing service , food and venue. We were served drinks within minutes and food which was awesome, shortly afterwards . I questioned the bill. Didn't think that they had charged us enough. Will definitely return on our next visit to queenstown. Thank you

I went today, the owner was serving & remembered me from a year ago ! Paddle board available to help make yourmind up on which beer or wine you prefer. The wines that I tried were delicious, so hard to decide which to buy, will have to go back 😉 The garden is really lovely & well kept, lots of activities to keep everyone occupied. They do food so next time will need to check out the menu. I would definitely recommend having a trip there.

Loved it. Loads of tables outdoor in the sunshine. Great outlook. Blankets if you need in the winter. Dog friendly.

The wines and Beers are really good, great atmosphere and vibe. Quite a laid back environment with a couple doggos
a.
Amazing place, stunning scenery. Games were a great edition.
H.
Stumbled upon this place on the Gibston valley cycle trail. Fan of their beers. Nice spot with an open outdoor area.
F.
The venue is amazing. Such a great range of activities. The pizza had more balsamic than I would have like which I thought made it a little too sweet. Some of the beers were good, others very average.
M.
Great beer and amazing views. Also, the staff are very friendly. Very happy I stopped by.
Editing to add that I came here on the Hop On Beer Tour. This included a food pairing to go with the beer tasting. Food was excellent and the pairings were spot on.
R.
Cool brewery inside an old church. Great outdoor area with games and lots of space for kids to run around.
K.
Fantastic place to spend some time with friends or family, plenty of space outside and lots of games to play. Good beer, tasty food and very friendly service. If you prefer something sweeter, take apple cider, it's delicious :)
m.
Narrow range of beers poorly labelled with some not available - ended up drinking some beers they stock from other local breweries. Great site with views up to the mountains and down the gorge, and comfortable lounges spread around outside.
Be good to see the brewing taken more seriously.
P.
Cool place, great beers and food
R.
Great location with outdoor games and good food
J.
Really tasty beer, especially liked the pilsner which is not what you'd expect from a pilsner, staff was really friendly, nice outdoor seating in a relaxed setting with a beautiful view. You can get 4 tasters of beer, wine, or a combination of both for $12, also the pizza was delicious.
T.
Worth a stop, they have an incredible beer garden with all sorts of games and activities.
T.
Beautiful setting, great history, the only let down was the long wait for our ordered food to arrive. No table service, so inevitably our large group received our platters at different times. Friendly staff.
A.
This was a great find, and I'll be coming back here again and not only to see Max the cat. Food wise pur table had: hot dog and fries, pizza, a delicious salad and a couple of flights of beer to side.. all very reasonably priced.
g.
Awesome wine and beers as well. Nice to have plenty of room outside to relax and have a taste of drinks and food.
S.
great tasting selection. wine or craft beer or combination of both. had the chicken n leek pie for lunch when on the hop on hop off winery tour. brought a lovely bottle riesling to take home
H.
Great wines and a lovely experience. Thanks to the team for accomodating our larger group. We'll be back.

Such a cool location, friendly service, but most importantly amazing beer!!!! They also have a pub in Arthur’s point which is 10/10 too. A must visit place in Queenstown!!!!!
F.
Lovely bar for breakfast or a coffee and a snack or a beer and dinner. Super friendly staff. Lovely log fire with nice surroundings. Highly recommend.
D.
Arthur’s Point branch at the old Grantley’s cooks the best bacon and egg roll. Plus you can grab some decent coffee and Pinot noir to go. What’s not to love ?
S.
Awesome. We enjoyed a glass of Porters each and a cheese board!
Lovely friendly staff.
J.
