Great tapas , had a small chowder and salad of zucchini, edamame, baby peas , whitloof with chilli dressing all of which fantastic. Really nice food and the staff are really easy going and lovely ,shout out to Rowan and the lovely lady who made my best dry martini on a return visit today!! Good music too!!!

Eichardt’s Bar was a really nice place to have fine quality tapas and cocktails but for a reasonable price. The quality of the food, drinks and the even the spicy nuts and olives (which were made in-house) was incredible! Friendly staff, couldn’t fault the service, exceeded our expectations!

This is a small venue that can stay maybe 7 or so parties. I came in for dinner and ordered 3 tapas for myself. There portions are appropriately prices for the size. The waiter said that they are famous for their chowder which came with warm bread. The chowder didn't stand out for me. I did also prefer the pork cheeks which paired wonderfully with the sauce. This had a great crunch and flavor. My favorite was the lamb ribs which was cooked so tenderly that the meat just fell off the bones and I didn't have to get my hands dirty. This was very full in flavor and had a tiny bit of spice. Loved it.

Mostly delicious tapas bar. We ordered 6 dishes and 5 were delicious. The 6th was a little bland. We had a cocktail and a wine and they were delicious. The cocktail was incentive, and quite amazing. I never really enjoyed dissecting the different flavours in a drink more. The room is a little cold despite the fire but there are blankets at every table. Very industrial design with friendly service.

Great Negroni and great atmosphere. We sat at the bar so we could talk with the bartenders and I could say that they are so professional !!!! They shared knowledge about alcohol to us that we don’t know 😉 Thank you so much … will visit again for sure ~

Cool atmosphere, great waiters and whilst you can sit outside and people watch/be watched, we found the indoor windows seats conducive to being cool and relaxing with some awesome cocktails! Rooms are pretty expensive at the hotel but the cheapest they have ever been during COVID.

Nice upscale tapas. Had a good selection of wines and a good wine trio tasting option. Service was good, food came quickly. Our dishes were nicely presented and tasty. We did not try any cocktails

A Queenstown institution. Serving the best seafood chowder in town, in a cosy intimate space, log fire, great service, tasteful decor...this is the best place to escape in warmth and comfort when it's cold outside.

Go for a martini and tapas after an active day in Queenstown. We love to go there apres ski in winter or after doing the cycle trails in autumn. Here is the view across the lake.

Fantastic upscale cocktail bar with great food. Some of the best seafood chowder I've ever eaten in a historic building. The staff was very friendly and the service was quick and knowledgeable.

This bar is simply stunning and the staff know what they are doing with your drinks. It's got a cool, old school vibe. Great that the menu has been updated with more plant based options. I can't wait to come back!

My partner and I went for dinner and it was absolutely delicious. We has almost every dish on the tapas menu and left no crumb behind. To top it off, the service was 10/10. Highly recommend!

Called in several times on our stay and tried a few of the cocktails. Absolutely delicious cocktails and we had the tapas plates special which was scrumptious. Staff were superb. Will be back on our next visit for sure.

Nice atmosphere and decent food. Service was a bit awkward. We were asked if we wanted still or sparkling water and then weren't brought any. No one told us what food was off the menu until we ordered it. Wait staff blaming each other for these issues in front of us. I drank a gin and tonic after ordering elderflower tonic (tonic is bitter so I didn't notice, but I don't drink alcohol) :( However, the young, Irish waiter is onto it! Lamb and arancini tasty. Pâté is small and bland (we had it at the bar next door once before, but didn't realise they were the same place!) and cured market fish was unpleasant - both me and my partner thought it tasted off with a weird chewy/dry texture, and I'm a masssive kai moana fan. He had a sore tummy after. 5 for $55 deal is good value, and for that I recommend this bar, but perhaps don't go if they are busy..

Majestic location, beautiful historic building, great tapas, good selection of wines, spirits and cocktails (didn’t look at the beers/ales), friendly and knowledgeable staff. We chose this for late afternoon drinks and tapas after extensive searching, and then came back twice after further searches through the town. Wish we could stay at the hotel, but it’s well beyond our means. The food and drinks are reasonably priced though, especially given the location and prices at more mediocre bars/eateries in Queenstown.

Delicious food and awesome service from Daniel and Tom made this place a fantastic dinner stop during our trip to Queenstown. Yummy tapas, cocktails and sherry tasting - what more could you ask for! If I'm ever back in Queenstown, I'll be sure to return.

Great location and food was very tasty. We had the Calamari in Squid Ink Tempura and it was absolutely amazing! We also had the Pork Cheek Croquettes and the Gnocchi, which were very good, but the calamari were just outstanding. The staff was very friendly and the location cannot be beaten. Prices are on the higher side, but definitely worth it.

I love this place. I came here three years ago too, and had a similar good experience. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It's a lovely place to just relax in and get warm. The chowder here is fantastic.

Elegant, friendly staff, excellent tapas it us a bit pricey but worth it. We had the flight of pinot noirs with our tapas and it was excellent. We ended it with a flight of scotches with blue cheese...AMAZING!!!! This is the type of place that gives you an experience.

New Zealand has the best lamb in the world so treat yourself to the lamb chops at Eichardt's tapas bar washed down with a classy Pinot noir from Central Otago and watch the Queenstown waterfront pass by. Brilliant any time of year. Haloumi and chowder also very good.

Can’t fault this place. Excellent service, warm ambient atmosphere, comfortable stylish decor, fireplace, extensive wine list and wonderful food. The perfect place to relax after a days skiing.
