We were here for breakfast as it is one of the few places on eat street that actually serves a vegan breakfast. The vegan option was the muesli which was quite delicious, though for vegans who don’t want a jaw workout first thing in the morning, tough luck as the bar does not serve anything outside the breakfast menu in the morning. There are a lot of other delicious looking vegan options (the vegan sandwich sounded mouthwatering) on the other menus though which we did not get the opportunity to try.

Friends and I went here for brunch while on holiday in Rotorua and yes, I was ravenous hence my order of chicken and waffles with a poached egg and doorstop toast on the side. The doorstop toast wasn't really anything to write home about but everything else was fine for a first experience. Service was good as was the location which right in town and you can hit the shops after eating.

Cocktails, burgers, hot plates and desserts - a great meal overall. The patty in the cheeseburger was slightly too overcooked in my opinion and didn't have the classic juiciness that I look forward too. The pork belly - amazing seasoning, lots of umami but the meat portion was mostly fat! Still great flavour though. In my opinion, much too generous portions of chips! The skillet cookie wasn't too sweet and had just the perfect amount of ice cream also.

First time coming here was an average experience, the main meal I had, the pork belly was quite delicious but I think the portion for the sides were way too much. As for the dessert, the cookie skillet had a well-controlled sweet taste, I would recommend this for those who do not like overly sweet stuff to finish off after your main. I am keen to visit again.

Delicious food!! However for this plate, there were small pieces of meat. The skillet cookie was very good, not too sweet and matched very well with the ice cream! =) The service was slow, I had to wait for a looong time.

The first time I went, it was amazing. I had the steak on a hot stone, which was delicious! The second time wasn't great! We sat in the far left corner, and when they opened the roof, there were flies around us the rest of the night. We were visibly swatting them, and no one asked if we wanted to move! We rushed through our food with one hand swatting flies. Not a pleasant experience, unfortunately.

The Calamari is what sold this 4 star review! Most tender and tasty calamari out! I cant get over how tender it was. Melt in your mouth! Front of house were lovely as well and definitely did his best to cater to our fussy table. Cocktails where yummy too, very refreshing mojitos. Fish a touch dry & so many chips but other than that very yummy. Will most probably be back.

Great service, yum dessert! Coconut chicken is gooood!! Great kumara fries... Mayo is pretty good. Lamb stone plate pretty good have to thank my brother for that... Self cook meat. Chips good too. Fried chicken is always a solid option 👍👍 chocolate fondue looked good sounds good tastes better is a must try. 100% favorite Cookie special... Options for ice cream and flavored sauce.. sweet tooth so went vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce. Wow!! So good. Looking forward to coming back to explore the rest of the menu. Highly recommend this bar and eatery

Great place to eat after a ride. Steak sandwich was AWESOME. Tasty burgers. Great after a day of mountain biking. Brew Craft Beer club stopped serving food at 8pm 😱 so stoked that these guys still had their kitchen turned on. Thanks CBK we know this covid thing has been tough.

Amazing Beef Wellingtons and fried cauliflower We came here after a long day of ziplining and luging. We have always wanted to try beef wellington and we were highly impressed. We also had a couple of drinks and some popcorn cauliflower. All of the food was super delicious. The staff was very good as well. I would def recommend visiting Eat Streat for CBK.

We came all the way to eat street and this was the place we decided to try out. We each ordered a burger and chips plus a drink each. The burgers were not too shabby, I would probably suggest you try their steak instead. For dessert, we ordered their famous skillet cookie which was amazing. The Good: - Great Atmosphere - Friendly staff. - The skillet cookie - Big portion sizes The Neutral: - Food was quite pricey, as to be expected with a steak house. Would definitely recommend trying this place out, especially if you love steak.

There is many different options but the stone grill is a must, cut and cook your meat to your preference! My paring was the Moa imperial stout and the NZ lamb duo. They also having a light meal/bar snack option to which my wife had the pulled pork and chicken boa buns. If you are heading to Eat Street in Rotorua i highly recommend stopping in

Down eat street, #1 rule when deciding on the fly were to eat always draw your attention to places that are full. This place had a pleasant atmosphere with helpful service however the food did take awhile to come out. Apparently the hard shake was more of a flavoured thick shake. Other then that food was O.K

This place is well located right on eat street. The decor is nice and the songs played are 80s and 90s rocks which aint to bad. The selection of food is good. The burgers were amazing but we felt the chicken in the morning smoked chicken pasta was over smoked. The dessert was amazing. this place is definitely worth a go.

We arrived on a busy evening without a booking. They had a large group table at the back that wasn't in use, so kindly sat our smaller group of 4 here so that we could eat. Despite the manic crowds, the service was excellent and the food and drinks arrived pretty promptly. Our burger and chips were awesome, the beer was great, and the cookie-ice-cream thing I had for desert was also pretty incredible. My wife had a couple of small plates for her dinner and they were damn good. There was a good atmosphere in there and I enjoyed the cosy and trendy decor.

Pros: Double Cheese Nachos are great tasting and good value, and the staff were very accommodating with us as we had a toddler. Cons: The chicken burger was very dry and very bland, and the chips that came with it were not all cooked. Garlic bread is tasty, but is a just generic cheap bread, not worth the $10. Decent, but no rush to return.

We had a nice experience here. The food was good and the staff were efficient. The only recommendation I have is to perhaps clean the grooves in the tables (I had to not think about the germs lurking on our table), and perhaps the DM shouldn’t express to customers that they were let down by young staff?? I get that it must be frustrating, but smile, take the order and get on with it.

This place was absolutely fantastic! The seafood chowder was stock full of seafood it was insane, the largest variety I've ever seen in a chowder, and it was delicious! Their beer selection was great and their flight options made it a great way to try multiple options. Now for the entrees....the bacon wrapped chicken breast was beautifully crafted and set on a bed of fettuccini in perhaps the best ratio of alfredo and pesto I have ever tasted. Now the 11 hr smoked Salmon....it was by far the best example of smoked salmon I could possibly imagine. The salmon had such an intense smoked flavor but it didn't overpower the salmon itself. The accutrements that accompanied the salmon were perfect accents of flavor, especially the summer slaw. One of the best meals we had on our vacation to New Zealand.

Really loved CBK when it first opened, however lately it seems to have gone downhill a bit, which is a real shame. The meal sizes have gotten smaller, and the food just isnt anything special anymore. Service was not that attentive and everytime we wanted to order more drinks or something, it took a long time to wave down a staff member. Food took ages to come out, and was slightly cold when it did. Really gutted by the latest experience, as CBK was the place to go not so long ago. It's not cheap to eat out, and its disappointing when the good is not up to standard. Positive being staff are very friendly and were still friendly even when rushed off their feet.

First time dining in Rotorua. Took my son to lunch. Had the grill beef and lamb with slaw and onion rings + chowder. Was blown away by the food. So good. Everything was delicious and fresh. The chowder is the best I've had in a long time. Presentation and service was amazing. Thank you to our waiter Elroy. Highly recommend.

Prime rib eye, lemonade floats, was honestly considering driving back from hawkes bay with my daughters for breakfast again this morning, I am a heavy diesel mechanic, who can cook any cut of steak to perfection, so whilst the rest of my family chose the stone grill, I allowed the kitchen to cook my steak, I had had a day no one should have had to have had prior. Perfect. Almost better than I could have done myself, I was a little bit floored. Was nice to return the next day for breakfast with my daughters, perfect eggs, perfect pancakes with perfect banana and bacon, same staff, same smiles, you made a bad week good.

Really good food, we had the veggie burger and roast veg salad, both were amazing. Beer was also good, highly recommend the IPA. Most of the staff was really friendly, only downside was we ordered an old fashioned and it was literally the worst I've ever had in my life. Bartender obviously didn't know how to make it and said to another server that "this is stupid" when trying to figure out how to make it. You're a bartender, old fashions are a standard drink to know how to make. everything else was great though

Often we turn up to places with our 4 children in tow and staff are okay but not that enthused (I get why) - but these guys made our kids feel listened to and they were friendly. The desserts we're awesome - milkshakes (freak shakes) incredible. Skillet cookies were tasty and the beers were fresh. Magic for our family.

The food was AMAZING. My partner had the rib eye which sliced like butter and I had the stone grill lamb rump which was so tender. The dessert also was great. I’m highly disappointed with the service our waitress was very rude from the moment we sat down and avoided us the entire length of the meal so we couldn’t order a different meal. The ‘southern fried chicken’ tastes exactly like the kids menu crispy chicken and is very watery and disgusting,However, the manager was lovely and understanding and took off the southern fried chicken burger and the kids meal chicken also offering us a complimentary dessert for the inconvenience that is the only reason we give 3 stars (the steak was good as well).

Really rude staff member couldn’t even look us in the eyes to say they didn’t have a table. Just said no and walked straight past us leaving us standing in the middle of restaurant. Didn’t make any effort to check tables or take a booking for later. I understand if you are rushed off your feet and don’t have time but if you are aimlessly walking around pretending to be busy. You only get a three start because your right next to the lovely Italian place who were more than happy to make eye contact.

Great service, friendly staff. Food is served at a good pace; you don't have your main rushed out straight after your entré, and there wasn't any long waits either. Battered oysters were great; big oysters with a modest and tasteful batter around them. Pure Craft Burger has fantastic and real swiss cheese on it. I might have missed it, but I didn't see the Moa range of beers there anymore. I like the Moa Imperial Stout, and to see it gone was a bit of a disappointment. I only saw Good George on the menu, but I may have been mistaken. Walking in, it is always warm with heaters and has a good atmosphere and selection of music. I come here often when visiting Rotorua!

Oysters were fresh so the brine tasted of the sea which is how we want it. The rib eye and rump steak were served raw on a hot volcanic plate. We were instructed to slice a piece of the meat and sear for 3 seconds on the hot volcanic rock. This means you can’t blame anyone but yourself if it turns out to be ovecooked and tough. It was 6:00 pm, very crowded but service was still good and fast. Highly recommended.

Sarah was great holding the Fort & observant coming off her station to welcome & seat us. However our main supposed waitress obviously had a late night previous. Can she make sure that she is openly welcoming with a polite disposition. My meal missed some parts, she placed the cutlery holding the blades. It didn't help that she had a bandage on a main finger (cross contaimination & lazy). In short she could have been a lot better as the others had to carry her poor performance. Other than that it was an OK experience just a kick up the backside required!

Excellent food, although at may at times be a bit slow. The waiters/waitresses are mostly very nice and if there is a problem with your food (eg slow, not correct meal etc), the waiters/waitresses are normally very courteous. It's very well set up and is in a prime location (Eat Streat). It's surrounded by other very good Bars/Cafés and is in close walking distance to Lake Rotorua.

CBK is an interesting place. They have the best range of tap beer in Eat Streat but I find the menu a little lacking. They have the hot rock self cook meat option which I have never warmed to. It's not like pan cooking or barbecuing your meat. You seem to just lightly poach it and its therefore quite tasteless.
