Just had lunch at The Grand Tavern today, my partner had the Surf and Turf and I had the Curry of the day the day, I asked for Indian Spicy not Kiwi Spicy...OMG absolutely delicious.. COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF..

Great good and excellent service as well from chef IJ. We enjoyed your hospitality.

My experience was awesome, 3 lady friends an me were booked in for tea at 7pm.we arrived early an had a drink an giggle in the smokers bar. Plenty of room an sunshine an fresh air. The service we had in the lounge bar was fantastic. We picked our meals from the new menu an the Chef was great. Our meals were large an beautiful an most enjoyable. Ten outa ten I reckon. You gotta go eat there an have a drink. Great music as well.

Friendly staff, wonderful meal.

Consistently welcoming and great service, staff are always very accommodating and courteous. With the new change of menu, I’m happy to report that the high level of tasty food “full rack of ribs” and dirty fries were delicious and something I would strongly recommend. The dry rub on the ribs was unique and tasted delicious, the meat slowly pulled off the bones with ease and was still moist. Thank you.

Me and husband come here alot. The menu changes all the time we love it ❤️❤️❤️ the food is from heart yummy very satisfying. Also we come here with our sons😊. They have yummy ribs and wings meals for the whole family..

Change of chef. Best chicken burger I've ever eaten. Husband more than satisfied with lamb shank meal. Really friendly staff. Decor could do with a fresh paint job but as far as food goes top marks.

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!! Good old vintage building with a character. Friendy service, Beers Wines and food at a great price. The new young owners are doing great job. We were group of 8 people and all of us were very much impressed with the service and food. Awesome cooks who went the extra mile to make our lunch fabulous. Reccommend to all and We are so grateful. Best Pub In Waikato 🍺 friendly staff, great service, beautiful indian meal. All other restaurants and pubs in town are shut by 6pm and this one pub was open. Nice warm and friendly atmosphere. Great locals. No wonder the locals love their hosts. Best hosts we've come across so far!👍🏻🏅

Great meal. Cost effective with a substantial amount of food. The fish was lovely and my husband had the massive burger that really was grand. Service with a smile. Would dine here again.

New owners. Few issues with language but they were trying very hard. Meal was large & tasted good. Place was looking inviting but no customers apart from us. Staff made sure we were warm by bring a heater over to us. Would go again.

The owners cook a very nice meal here. The premises are clean, the food is fresh and the atmosphere is not typically hotel as the outside of the premises hint at. Delighted its close by.

Lamb where fantastic, service amazing total recommend for a casual dinner

Always a friendly atmosphere.

We arrived as 2 big groups also arrived so no space to sit however the friendly staff advised we could sit next door in the pub area. Food was fantastic and we didn't have to wait long for it to arrive at our table.

Edwardian architecture, clean very helpful staff,ample parking, beautiful views of the park and mountain, right in the C B D of Tearoha with a lovely family atmosphere hunting and fishing club base is also there, so come and check it out
