D.Definitely not a date not spot but it’s a good pub if you want a quick drink.
No real food menu mainly just drinks. Has a small area out the back for drinks and a gaming lounge.
M.Love this pub. A paint job and a clean up. But cold beer and good service is all I need after a hard day on the farm
G.An old heritage building which is all too easy to drive past. If it is food you are wanting, you will be disappointed - only bar snacks are sold. There is however an awesome bakers (Viands) - also a fish and chip shop (Radars) both about 1-200 metres away - both well worth a visit if you're in need of a good nosebag.
Upon visiting the Star Tavern you can be assured of a warm welcome from Viv the landlady and Lucinda - also other locals using this hostelry are equally friendly, and if like me you are partial to a good drop of the Waikato draught beer. well look no further. I certainly enjoyed all my visits to this pub.
