Outdated decor in our room. Badly designed kitchenette not suitable for purpose. Restaurant food was appalling Blue Cod overcooked egg disgusting re-ordered to compliment dish. Dining facilities great requires updating & brightening with splash of colour .

Fantastic dog friendly accommodation. Lovely clean rooms, great outlook and surprisingly quiet. Wonderful meal at adjoining restaurant

Comfortable and convenient stay. I was able to have my little dog with me, which was great, and she really enjoyed the grassed area at the back of the property. The room had everything I needed and was very clean and tidy. Four star rating due to the sauna and spa not being available when I was there mid-week, which was disappointing. I would stay again though, as it was a good base for the Tongariro National Park.

Awesome place. So friendly and helpfull. Food amazing. Dog friendly. Clean and extremely well equipped. Sorry to leave. Wish we could stay another day. Will definitely be back.

Good harty food, doesn't look much from the highway but worth the stop. We stayed in the motel this time and were nicely surprised. Rooms seem to be recently renovated and we thought better than the rating given. Lovely clean bathroom and a lovely shower.

Small group, last minute dinner booking. Online menu looked good. Rocked up with reasonably low expectations but was absolutely blown away by the food. Generous potions, really delicious. The best part was the sticky date pudding. It was a total 'close your eyes and savour' type of experience. Will definitely be back

We only went for dinner but it definitely exceeded our expectations. The food was fresh. There was plenty of it and you could tell that the chef went the extra mile to make it as interesting and appertising as possible. We had the fish and chips and pork belly, and 10/10 for both. The staff were friendly and efficient but not overbearing. The food came out quickly and was delicious.

Good size rooms, yum food and friendly staff

Have stayed at many pet friendly motels from the bottom of the South Island to Auckland but this was the first & only one that charged an extra $25 for our small dog. Not impressed with not only that but the room wasn't particularly clean either. Not recommended.

Modest but comfortable; clean room and friendly staff♡ Heater worked wonderfully; keeping me warm through the chilly nights. Stayed 4 nights over Queen's Birthday weekend - the place was filled with anglers - not surprising as the motel is right beside the river - beautiful sight with mountains in the background.

A group meal, prebooked for dinner on Saturday night. Meal was just OK, but service was very slow. Over 2 hours for entree and main.

We stayed for 3D2N from 08-10 Jan 2021. Staff are friendly. Beds are comfy. Cleanliness is maintained. They also replace towels and replenish supplies daily. Food is great. Proximity to the river and shops is a plus. Highly recommended.

Great comfortable, clean, and affordable accomodation. Restaurant has nice food. Staff are friendly and attentive. Gets a lot of one-night stays as people travel Wellington to Auckland, so if your staying for a while and like your beauty sleep, I suggest asking to be accommodated away from the one-nighters, if possible.

Booked in for dinner. Top quality meals that were super generous portions. Attentive service from really friendly staff. Would highly recommend for anyone in the area or traveling through Turangi.

Had dinner with the family and the food was delicious 😋 server was so lovely and polite, if they have the passion fruit cheesecake as there cheesecake of the day, order it, it's delicious 😋

Great staff! Always receive wonderful service here. Super clean, many rooms very modern. Restaurant is always popular. Would be perfect with fly screens installed to keep out mosquitos as it's right beside the river (which of course is lovely!). Great for a quick swim.

Food was great, service good. Unfortunately the wait for food was long as they were slammed with patrons. Overall though good experience, nice relaxed atmosphere.

A delightful surprise! Dined here as a party of three with a late afternoon reservation based on a good looking menu. Arriving promptly at 6 we were invited to choose a table. Offered drinks menu and shown the specials board. We ordered drinks and an entree to share between 2 of us, ordering our mains at the same time. Very generous portions, beautifully presented. Flavour combinations were amazing and we rolled out with very full pukus and happy souls. Highlights were the sticky date pud, a creme brulee done so so well and all the mains were just fantastic! Ka pai team.

Sunday night meal after a week with a Bach full of visitors. We both ordered the steak and eggs. Wow what a huge meal. The chips in beer batter were very nice. The steak was a large thick portion. My steak was slightly under cooked from my request but not a problem for me. The meal came with a nicely presented and tasting salad. The restaurant was not busy but we got quick friendly service. Highly recommended for a large home cooked meal. Sorry did not try the desert as we were both full. Will be back.

Beds and rooms were clean. But water boiled in the kettle smelt strange. Had to boil a few times to get rid of smell before we could use the water from it. Lovely fireplace with good ambience and service. We enjoyed having dinner in their restaurant.

After the tavern took one look at our large group and denied us service, the restaurant here made space for us. And not only was the service great, the food was awesome. Thanks again guys.

Great place accommodation is great good bar and restaurant

My post stay review says that our room was on the river side and v comfortable. One thing that I forgot about was the entrance lighting off state highway 1 could be better - talk to transit NZ about that. We had some work tech and were able to rearrange the space to suit. You need to pre-order your breakfast but there are some nice places to go to like Creel Lodge on Taupehi Road, v small and cute or Hydro which has larger spaces and both only 5 minutes by car. There is also a famous coffee caravan in the lodge carpark. I felt sorry for the owners due to COVID affecting their bookings and many cancellations. It was another nice and a fantastic sleep.

Friendly staff, clean comfy room. Food was amazing, certainly cant complain with great value. Would stop here again, as ideal place midway travelling.

This was a lovely place to stay. Right by the river so we could watch the fishermen just by the bridge. It has a bar which a little bit dated but I love that. We also had dinner in the restaurant there and the food was amazing. Rooms were comfortable clean and it had a good shower ...my only requirements. So well done the all the staff there in making it a pleasant place to stay

We didn’t stay there but had dinner this past Friday night and the meals we ordered were epic! I had the venison pie and my mate had the lamb shank and both the service and the food were awesome.

Stopped by for a few drinks and snack on our way to Taupo. The service here is super amazing! The lady in charge was so nice and welcoming. The place is really lovely in a picturesque rural setting. Saw lots of Tuis flying around and feeding on flowers. Loved the rich furnishings and the huge fireplace in the restaurant. Fantastic location and close to the river if you want to go trout fishing.

Stopped for dinner. It was somewhat busy and they said there might be a bit of a wait. Meals come quicker than expected. Had the mussels and they were awesome my husband had pork belly which was also lovely. Great staff. Generous meals.

Food was amazing. Service was sub par. We asked for our leftovers to be put in a take away box and the lady gave us 3 containers then walked off. Good meme

The staff couldn't help us enough. I was not feeling well when we arrived and even thought the kitchen was closed, the chef was still there and cooked us a beautiful feed. Thank u to all staff

Decent stay, good ambience, but rooms were not quite spacious. Pantry section was very small found difficulty in setting things up.

The staff is PHENOMENAL, the rooms clean and comfortable, the food is great and the fireplace/lounge is to DIE FOR! Highly recommended anytime - especially if you're skiiing at Reupheu! Don't stay in the dumps up there with shared bathrooms - do the 40 minute drive and stay HERE!

I had a great time at the Motel on a recent snow trip to Ruapheu. Clean and comfortable rooms, with hosts that ensure you are looked after.Great restaurant as well so you don't need to go far for food.

Turangi Bridge Motel is a quiet and warm motel, it has an awesome restaurant that serves big tasty meals, and will make you happy after a long days travelling. Free wi-fi is a nice bonus.

Really enjoyed our visit to their restaurant. Very good food. They are fairly expensive but because of extremely high NZ minimum wages, they are in line with most overpriced Kiwi restaurants.
