Awesome, Tu meke... service from the team was prompt, efficient, friendly, thank you and well done! The meal!!! WOW👌the scotch fillet with peppercorn sauce on mash with veges was absolutely delicious. Compliments to the chef. The lamb, slow cooked was the same. Wow! A beautiful setting overlooking a quiet street the evening we were there or on the deck overlooking the stream. Inside had tonnes of seating. Above all, People make a business, you are the assets of the business and you all can be proud, 'hold your heads high team!'

We had the Scotch fillet (medium to well) with mash and seasonal vegetables as well as the Cider glazed pork belly with a side of rocket n balsamic salad with parmesan. For starters we had garlic bread and tempura prawns. Staff were pleasant although even though we booked there was a slight mix up with tables but we got there in the end. They had an issue with the kegs that day so no tap beers were available however this did not affect our dining experience. Food came out in a timely manner. The Scotch fillet was well presented n tasted good especially the seasonal vegetables. However the mash was not to my liking. Seemed like it was not only potatoe which I was not expecting. My partner said of her pork belly dish that the crackling was crunchy but the pork was a little dry and also commented on the unusual taste of the mash. The overall combination of the flavours were delicious. The dill dressing with the tempura prawns was a highlight. I'd like to end in saying the staff and ambience of the place were outstanding. If this was a pub food review it would be 5/5

Top notch on the night visited, staff super diligent with scanning - even checking when someone who had already scanned in had popped out to get something to see if they had scanned in... great to see. Food was really good and the staff who served us were all outstanding, best wait staff encountered for a while... really enjoyable dining experience, kudos. Again, staff... brilliant.

Had a late lunch and everyone we met was super hospitable and welcoming. It was a beautiful restaurant overlooking a river. The food was delicious too!

Great restaurant, nice ambience, river side, great hosts! Totally walkable for Warkworth village. Accommodation definitely clean ... good basic accommodation ... value for money! Never would shy off staying again!

Had a lovely lunch here, the Poke bowl with Salmon was great - very generous with great flavours and the pulled pork sandwich was also really great. Thoroughly recommend

The service was great, the food was great, and it's a nice clean restuarant right by the water (with some seating on the deck).

We stayed at the lodge. The room was fine and reasonably priced for what it was. Clean and tidy with comfy beds, and although the bathroom was old and water pressure wasn't great, it was also clean and clean towels were.provided each day. There was a jug (with tea and hot choc sachets but no milk) and small fridge in the room plus TV - although the TV did not work and staff were una le to help. We ate at the restaurant one night - We had the ribs, polenta chips, keto salad, slow cooked lamb and kids Mac n cheese. The food was great and quite large servings. The service was a little slow but staff were friendly and were scanning vaccine passes upon entry. 4 stars for the restaurant.

Gorgeous setting and ambience. Family group of 16. Food was served all together and everyone enjoyed their meal. We came down from Whangarei and family came up to meet us from Auckland, we stayed for 3 hours very happy with attentive staff. Fabulous lunch, will recommend to others.

We dropped in for drinks and catch-up with family and caught the only win the poms had in the Americas cup. The place was reasonably busy, the bar staff were very good, and service was excellent for our diverse group. We didn't eat in, but what we saw coming from the kitchen looked good. Very pleasant atmosphere.

Lovely setting.. service was fantastic... husbands ribs abit dry and seafood chowder would've been nice fresh and hot... but the lamb salad and steak were perfect!! Clean tidy.. menus could do with a wipe... overall would go again! Especially if they would look at fixing a few simple things 😁

Fairly laid back dining. Nice enough atmosphere. Lots of options for seating inside and out. The food was ok. I had the mussels as a main, and was a bit disappointed as it looked like and tasted like they had steamed the mussels, then heated up some sauce and dumped it on top of the mussel shells. I had seafood chowder which is one of the better chowders in town. The kiddies steak meal was really lovely, with a decent size portion for my niece. My partner gave the pork belly a 4.5 out of 5. The service was efficient. Not cheap, not expensive Overall it was good just not special.

Excellent service. Meals were very nice and offered at a fair price. It was a very busy night when we went, but staff were unfailingly polite and accommodating. I recommend a meal here.

Absolutely wonderful place to have a relaxing meal. Food was delicious especially the Lamb shank and sticky date pudding. Atmosphere was very homely and the service excellent. Highly recommended.

Great food, exceptional customer service. The young South African man who served us was outstanding, his name is Francois and his customer service was phenomenal! The food is fantastic as well but again well done to the young man!

Beautiful surroundings by the Riverside. The branches wiht lights on the ceiling are a beautiful touch ✨ My son and I both enjoyed tasty delicious meals, Salmon pizza and steak (hiding under the salad, the serving seemed a little on the small side). The meals took an average amount of time to arrive, we ordered at 5pm, beginning of dinner menu time. Great location.

Partyof 15 dined yesterday. Service was friendly and efficient. Most meals were great. Fish and chips ($24.50) was not as good as I expected.

Omg, the food was so good, and so filling. I wanted dessert but even a wafer thin mint would have been too much. The rooms are spacious and well maintained.

Beautiful, almost Bush like surroundings. With a picturesque river running beside it . From fresh water to Salt water of the lower river ,which runs to the Mahurangi River . Idyllic and Tranquil surroundings . Above average prices .. for well above average meals . A bit of something for everyone . Accommodation for those that wouldnt mind a Night out with their Loved one.

For a pub, their catering is actually pretty good. We went during morning tea time for a funeral service. Apart from food, the service was great too! If you're ever in Warkworth, drop by for lunch or brunch!

Have had a few nice meals here recently, sadly we came on sunday night and the baked cheesecake was very overdone. Salmon was beautiful though and service was great. Would be good to change up the dessert menu/flavours more regularly.

My husband and I booked into the Bridge House Lodge for our Anniversary. The rooms were lovely, modern and clean. We also booked in at the Restaurant and had a lovely meal as always. A big thanks to the amazing owners Ian and Ramona for going the extra mile and making our night extra special. They made us feel like part of the family. I would highly recommend the Bridge House Lodge Bar & Restaurant for a weekend away or a delicious meal in a great setting with wonderful owners and staff. We will definitely be back!

Amazing food. We had table service to start but seemed to taper off by the end of the meal - had to order final drinks and dessert from the bar. A neat atmosphere.. rustic but it works. I would certainly go back next time I was in warkworth for the seafood pie alone!

The staff in this bar are exceptional. High standards are expected by the owners and those standards are upheld by the staff. The establishment is pristine and the food offering comprehensive, including Keto and gluten free options

It is an okay place to have a drink, not that cosy or comfortible as in lounge chairs. However still quite reasonable, service is good. I guess it is seen as a bar saloon, with eating facilities off to the side.

Lunch today at the Bridgy was so good as always. Shared with my wife and granddaughter a d Barrett the dog who thinks he is a human. Food was good and top service.Will definitely go again.

Food excellent and quickly delivered to table, staff bright and helpful - for two 'oldies' the noise level was challenging but there were many happy people enjoying themselves. Sitting outside on deck in winter was fine!

We stayed in the hotel and the room was fairly small but really clean and comfortable. We ate at the pub which seemed slightly expensive but huge serves. The hotel had a lively atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. The beer garden right on the river looked really lovely, I can imagine on a warm night it would be a great place for dinner and drinks.

Went there for lunch on New Year’s Day. Lovely and efficient staff. Food was nice enough but service really stood out.

Atmosphere and food were great, pity about us waiting nearly an hour for our food order to be taken while other tables who arrived after us got served and got their food before us. Because of this, a lowly 3 stars. Sorry.

Great Service, great food. I had Salt and Pepper Squid, came with Fries and salad. Service was very fast and hassle free. We sat in an outside setting overlooking the River. It's really well worth a stop for an excellent meal and top speedy service.

This place is amazing. Since I was just a kid I've come through Warkworth many times as most jafa's grow up using the coastline up these ways for surfing & fishing & everything else. Had never stopped in here though as was always on an ice cream mission. Always thought it was a pub!. I can assure you that it is not, and we were remarkably impressed after being used to the city cafe/restaurants, to discover the true nature of this beautiful gem up there in Warkworth. We were having a weekend away, and didn't book to dine in. The phone call to the place was handled perfectly given it was fully booked for the night and we were told to turn up after a certain time, which was awesome. Got there, no problem, hand sanitiser outside, COVID19 sign in, and immediately a extremely polite and professional waiter came to us, this guy was choice. No problems with the no booking, they knew who we were from the phone call, and we were seated almost straight away. Cut a long story short - these guys actually have Speights!!! most places in Auckland don't have Speights! so I was stoked. We had the Pork Belly & one of the Pastas, breads for starters all of which were 'top end' and beautifully cooked, & presented. The staff here are exceptional, and some of the restaurants and cafes in Auckland could certainly learn from this place off the enthusiasm and professionalism the team here upholds, no grumpy bums, no staff looking like they'd rather be on instagram, absolutely outstanding crew. I have no doubt the owners must be proud, their staff here are exceptional and of an extremely high standard of service and definitely make the place. Beautiful atmosphere, an awesome setting for a evening dinner & drinks as a couple. I won't keep ranting, end of the day, this place is absolutely awesome and well worth the dine in, highly recommended. Easy parking in evening, lots of spaces up by Police station (prob the best place to park!) Pricing as perfectly expected and as competitive as everywhere. Disabled access. Clean & accessible toilets. Outside smoking/vaping areas Perfect. Thank you for dinner here, we will certainly be again I have no doubt, really really impressed and your staff & chef's are absolutely amazing & really make the night. Cheers.

Loved my baby back ribs but my wife's salad was bland. My slaw was full of odd things like germinating peas! Don't mess with a good thing!

Clean rooms with everything you need like a big bed, every TV channel under the sun and its warm and cozy. But that's not why I care to write a review. That alone is what 4 stars? What makes it 5? The fantastic restaurant and bar. The friendly staff, the beer garden. The stones throw to everything Warkworth can offer. But most importantly. The shower. Things like a water compressor. Best shower I've ever had at a hotel anywhere in the world. If someone had the idea to make it high pressure, or if that just came by, by accident by the plumber(s) that did the work. Hat goes off to you. Everything can be perfect about a place, but if you cant have a decent shower then what's the point? I'd go back just go back just for the shower. Fantastic.

Stopped of here for a bit of lunch on the way back to Auckland. Lovely big wood fire roaring. I gad the chicken & bacon sandwich and a bonus Stella on tap. Great service would definitely reccomend.

Casual warm atmosphere. Plenty of room for small medium or large groups either in front of a roaring fire in winter or outside on the sun drenched deck in summer. Good learning around the venue. Great pub/restaurant quality food, excellent service. A winner winner chicken dinner 😊

Disappointing....We usually do not use booking sites as there is nearly always a better price to be obtained from going directly to the hotel. Not on this occasion, paid $155 for a very average room when prices on the web averaged $125 and it was only worth the latter. Great position, very comfortable bed and quite good food BUT the refurbished bathroom needed finishing off in parts and the tap on the basin fell to pieces. All in all we just felt somewhat ripped off for starters. Sorry but would not return after this experience. Excellent breakfast at Q cafe round the corner on leaving.

Great spot for lunch, drinks, a catch up or just passing through. Laid back atmosphere, good service and food is delicious. Spacious and comfortable indoor outdoor seating, generous parking front and back. Bathroom facilities require an upgrade to match the quality of bar and lounge area.

We dined here on a chilly winter evening. The food here is hearty and warm, I definitely recommend the ribs! The fire was toasty warm and the atmosphere was relaxed. The only letdown was the somewhat cold service upon arrival. Perhaps it was a busy night, but there was no real interaction from any of the waiters. Apart from that - great place for a lovely meal.

What an amazing stay. Just drove up for a one night stay, fireplaces were going, enjoyed a couple drink and chatted with other travelers then had the best meal before feeding the pokies then off to our room. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Thank for a great experience, well definitely be back.

I have been here many times in transit on the way back to Auckland for meals from breakfast to dinner. Fabulous food. Child friendly. Great environment. Always busy. Great staff and atmosphere. Lovely surroundings always enjoy the walk along the river which goes quickly into native bush area fabulous birdsong. Then up and along the old bridge and down under the road along to the weir. Just beautiful.

Stopped by for warm and a meal whilst on a ride with my mate, we both ordered a Steak sandwich and a bear, great service and the meal was perfect. Will return for a meal with the wife at some stage. Steve & Gaz

I loved this place, they took us in at very short notice when the town was extremely busy with holiday makers and gave us a beautiful room that looked out over the street and historic bridge. We ate in the restaurant that night and the food was great and staff very helpful.

Fabulous food and variety. Loads of seating in and outside. Fireplace. Outdoor views. Whether on a romantic date or a big family gathering you will be well catered for by food and atmosphere. Good drinks range as full bar.

If you are looking for a nice place to have dinner and a few beers or wine then this place fits the criteria. However if you are stopping for lunch then the prices for lunch are on the high end and make you think twice. It is a lovely place to stop but to be honest for a lunch meal a bit too pricey.

Was so impressed that they brought the kids meal out with our starters i didn't have to ask. When you have young children that makes a huge difference.

The food was excellent, the rooms were wonderfully neat. Unfortunately I just couldn't sleep in the beds.

This is an awesome bar and restaurant. I was staying in Warkworth while working a conference, and this was the go-to for myself and the group I was with every night, because we couldn't find anything else that had the same quality and service as this. The food is excellent, the staff are always a delight to deal with and they are more than happy to go out of their way to make sure you are looked after - they often kept the kitchen open a little longer for us, which I greatly appreciated.

Fantastic place with a seriously good menu. I had their Thai Shrimp Laksa, so good. Awesome friendly service, nice surroundings

Food was great, big servings set on the river with helpful staff. We stayed here in a small room that had cable tv and a fridge but not much else. Not very sound proof so you will be up early.

Really like a Pub type of atmosphere, but very good food, we visited here twice, had a very good steak meal reasonable prices, was busy but not crowded and staff were very good and helpful, joyed our visit

Good food that's on the expensive side. It is one of the only sit down restaurants in the area. Good amount of 90min parking around. Good view from the restaurant overlooking a river. Good interior design so that's probably why it's a little more on the higher end.

We were in a group of 10, excellent large table, but my fillet steak was of poor size and quality.

had a meal, started with a salt and pepper squid salad... 3pieces of lettuce under a pile of thin greasy squid chips does not make a 17$ salad, when query the waiter said no that's it. Pizza stated a ingredient on it but really it was a sprinkle.... Pudding was a great tart and good service All other meals were good and lrg servings

A thoroughly enjoyable stay at The Bridge House - wish I could've stayed longer! My room was on ground floor, facing in toward the courtyard. The decent sized room stayed fairly cool in the 30+ degree heat, aided by 2 small, but strong, desk fans. The comfortable bed, with fresh linen, and the fluffiest of pillows made it very difficult to get up in the morning... Dining here is also a treat - fresh produce, cooked to perfection, and such a great selection! Succulent roast pork with crackling, Pearl couscous salad, salmon eggs benedict with a runny yolk for breakfast - this chef really knows what they're doing! My only bugbear (emphasis on the 'bug') would be the evening advancement of the crickets! I only had the one in my room, but it was insistent on joining me in my bed! Maybe a bug screen placed over the windows would allow the fresh air to circulate without inviting the creatures of the night to invade. Otherwise, a very pleasant stay, and I wholeheartedly recommend.

Rooms very small no air conditioning was so hot and not able to sleep with windows open due to amount of mosquitos. Fan was too noisey noise from bar also hard to sleep with wouldn't stay there again

There was no welcome pack or phone in the room to ring the office, hence no information on taxis, doctors, resturants, activites to do places to see etc. Disapointing when I asked for a welcome pack was told it should be in the room was never offered one. There was no dish cloth to clean up the small bench area.

Unique find on the North side of Auckland. 40-50min north on Hwy 1. Great food. Cocktails , draught beer; ordered the lamb shank in pomodoro sauce and it was delicious. Mussels are a must!

Were do I start....the amazing meals, the rustic ambiance , the roaring fire, the excellent staff!!!!! Without a doubt the best place in town to dine with your family or take in a sports match on one of the big screens,an absolute jewel in warkworths crown which I throughly recommend

Very nice place. We only had pizzas but they were excellent. Warning chorizo sausage pizza hot going in but very hot at the other end. Good service to.

My husband and I have just visited here for dinner. A long drive from Cambridge to whangarei and on our way back, with nothing to eat all day, had us very hungry and the Bridgehouse menu looked great to us. We weren’t disappointed AT ALL! One of our entrees was the squid which was cooked perfectly, the mussels were delicious with a lemongrass and coconut twist, seafood chowder and garlic bread was unfaulted. Our mains were 10/10 - The ribs and lamb loin. I wish we had room for dessert! Service from the young gentleman was good and We will definately be back. Thank you!

The dining area was full but the front of house staff found a high table and chairs for the 4 of us to have drinks and a nice meal. Great hospitality and food.

This place is outstanding. It is at the confluence of two rivers and a waterfall. It is peacefull plus. The staff are friendly and responsive and the accommodation excellent. Just one of the best places I have stayed in.

Really nice, well decorated place with delicious food and pizza that's a bit on the expensive side but definitely worth it. Deserts are also exquisite.

Staff good, food good however the parking for the accommodation needs to be sorted, bar patrons park in accommodation spots so often you have to park miles away and lug your bags to/from the rooms. Please read this and sort bridge house and I'll change my rating to 5

Took awhile for any waiting staff to come to the table to even ask was I ready to order no water offered or brought to the table , smoked chicken pizza was very hot & freshly baked Garlic bread French stick cut in nice big pieces was hot & very yummy finished with hot coffee I be back just hoping that the serves to be much better

Very nice, friendly staff, food was just what I wanted except for the garlic bread, was ordered for pizza bread. Waiter apologised but we didn't care as it was very nice anyhow.

Stayed at the lodge and ate lunch in the restaurant. The prices for the lodge been appropiate with about 120NZD for a queen room. The pizzas in the restaurant been a bit pricey for the small size. Enjoyed the stay overall with a great location in town and along the river.

Warkworth best large eating facility. Sports TV's going all the time. Clean toilets, Pokies, Pool tables (2). Menu extensive but quite $$$. Deck outside for drinks or dinner etc. Plenty of room, overnight accommodation available also. Handy to Ww Central and Cop Shop.

The place basically was okay but imagine paying $131 between 2 pm & 10 am for just the room but not even an aircon or a pedestal fan in it with the kind of weather we have -- there was one desk fan and when we complained they supplied one more smaller one than there already was It was really a bad sleeping in the heat experience
