Tried the Praise You feijoia milkshake IPA. what an interesting and yummy beer. They’ve struck a great balance between tropical hops and fruit, wisely leaning to the fruit. Nice place, friendly staff. Would recommend.

Met friends here for brunch and my meal was yummy! I'm a huge fan of hand cut chips and this meal really hit the spot after the late night I had. Location is really great and wasn't far from my accommodation. Good service. I'd go back just for the hand cut chips for sure. When I'm in Wellington next I'd certainly check it out again perhaps for lunch or dinner this time.

Sunday brunch here was choice. The big breakfast is sumptuous; the staff are intelligent and proactive; the ambience perfectly Wellington with both coffee roaster and vats of beer brewing over the shoulder. It's just a beautiful, versatile café/bar/lounge. Perfect for a date, weekend brunch, a quiet drink, or relaxing over coffee. Like People's Coffee smashed into Garage Project, but dressed up like Matterhorn.

Yes yes yes!!! The fried chicken is as legendary as I have heard. Great quaint atmosphere with the brewing tanks sitting just around near our seats and there's sufficient lighting to give a really rustic interior. Most interesting thing is definitely the semi hidden entrance that looks like a usual alleyway from the street. Full of surprises! Must go!!

Just looking at the names of the Choice Bros beer alone makes this a vibrant, pop culturally cool spot. The long hallway filled w casks makes you more salivatingly eager with each step. So many good brews to choose from, I guess you'll just need to stay a while. When their bathrooms are choice.

Confit Duck Burger was delicious, fries perfectly cooked and delicious, really nice aioli, loved the knife securing the burger to the serving board. Also had a very nice long black, beautiful crema, rich flavour, perfect temperature. Staff were lovely as well.

This place is NOT cash only. They happily accept cards. The food was alright, I hate to be a damper but it seemed like typical bar fare. So, nothing extremely unique. I would agree with the rest of the reviews in that the wine and beer offerings are quite good. So, that made us happy.

My husband and I loved this stop on our brewery tour! Great beers, great eats, great vibe...what more could you want?! We had the southern fried chicken to start. I’ll admit it was on the smaller side so we got the Mushroom Pizza as well. It was perfect with the truffle oil! Bartenders and servers were kind and friendly as well!

Awesome beer selection and friendly staff. But what stood out the most to me is the vegan mushroom pizza. I'm a hardcore carnivore, my girlfriend is vegan, but this was up in the top pizzas I've ever had. If you're in Wellington, take the time to come here, you won't regret it.

Really cool atmosphere and a cool place. Tiny 120 ml beer glasses excellent for us that don't want to drink lots of beer but still try a few. The gnocchi with mushrooms was delicious. We can find no flaws except that it wasn't enough of it. The chickpea burger was pretty good due to the condiments. I would probably prefer another patty that's a bit more moist. The thick fries were a wee bit underdone but still nice.

I’ve been here 4 times now & it’s consistently been fantastic. The atmosphere is perfect, cozy stylish laid back. The beer is interesting and served up by friendly yet relaxed staff. The coffee is superb. Dan, (I think) the barista made the BEST cappuccino I’ve had to date. Crumpets with bourbon butter & preserves blew my mind. Wish I lived in Wellington just to be a regular here. ;)

One of my favorite places to get breakfast. The coffee is good and food is tasty (I usually stick to the Husk breakfast, which is great, but if you like burgers, I think you will enjoy their duck burger). Decor makes the place feel very cool and inviting. I love being surrounded by plants when I eat in the alley seating area.

As a fan of quiet but cosy places with good beer, good food, and noise-free friendly banter, the reviews I had read about Husk sounded ace. And ace it is. Turns out they brew their own imaginative craft beer (Choice Bros Brewing), roast their own coffee, and serve up phenomenal food. For me, Husk is not only the best bar in Wellington but the best bar I've ever visited. Amazing!! Keep up the great work!

Cool quiet atmosphere stepped back from the city street is really nice. Menu is small but delicious with a wide variety. Coffee has been very good whenever I've been. They do a couple of lunch specials for about $12 that are sufficient by themselves. Service is friendly.

I love this little brew cave. Beers constantly changing, plenty of choice. Decent seating and the place has a great look. Staff are always friendly and it's pretty low-key as far as music is concerned. It's just about beer and yarns. It's a great alternative after it gets too cold to sit on the RnV grass

There is a David bowie fan on staff (I am guessing) as some of the beers were called lyrics from his songs. also the brewing vats were called lyrics from songs as well. Food was good range of 'bar food' and flavoursome,. Wait staff were friendly and efficient. Great place to meetup after work for a few drinks. The entrance is a long alley so gives the place a secret away from it all feel.

Despite being a wine person I really enjoyed this place. They are a Brewer and roasters bar/cafe. Not only do they have a large variety of beers but they also have the best coffee I've tried in the city. Awesome lamb ribs with baba ganoush. Loved it.

One great thing about husk is that it's always open, breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks you name it. the husk breakfast is nice, burgers as well and had some lovely Gnocchi there. And sine it's also a brewery you get some nice beers there and a few weird ones.

And they're all available in 150ml pours so you can try lots. And theres the friendly & knowledgeable staff. And the diverse menu of delicious food which is quickly delivered. And the lovely atmosphere being surrounded by sexy stainless brewing equipment. But damn... That fried chicken.

At first I was unsure because their menu seemed very limited and most dishes had meat but I ordered the grilled salmon eggs Benedict and it was love at first bite. I’m already looking forward to going back and trying more options, even the meat ones. Unique, “craft” vibes inside too.
