Great pub and best roast dinner. You normally need to book 1 1/2 weeks ahead but came early and didn't know about the booking. Connor, the barman asked the chef if he could do an extra meal and he very kindly OKed the request. Lucky 😁😁😁. Booked now for 2 weeks time

Four stars for being different, passionate and staying loyal. Made the decision to cross the road to the bar literally built on an island in the middle of the road. Nice and relaxed, laid back and casual. If you weren't sure it was Welsh before you walked in you will be absolutely sure once you walk in and look at the numerous items and articles the adorn the walls. Staff are friendly and you might even see some true Welsh. Various seating options both indoors and outdoors. New Zealand's only Welsh bar and a title I'm sure will be difficult to take.

The only place in Wellington that sells Ginger Bear!... absolutely gorgeous stuff from Queenstown. Super friendly atmosphere and great staff, the clientele also seem to vary by age which is awesome (this is a place for young and old). They so a very nice roast here which is highly recommended!

Came in here on a Friday and had a brilliant night. It was very busy because there was a band on so we sat outside. Happy to sit in the beer garden.. You'd never think you was sat in the middle of the road. Also good beer on tap and great service

Great atmosphere! Love coming here. Usually have live music and also an area outside and the other end pool table. Iconic building. Everyone becomes best of friends with the wonderful owners!!! Warm and cozy on a windy wellington night!

Best Sunday Roast in Wellington! Great vibes, so much character in this former public toilet. Friendly staff, always a good craft beer on tap. Many fun times have been had here, well worth a visit.

I challange anyone to go to this bar any night of the week and not end up having a good conversation with some belly laughter. Whether it's with the staff or the customers, in the garden or at the bar, anyone can find good company in this true pub oasis in the heart of the capital. ** disclaimer - my regular for 10+ years

Hmmmm. I was brought up in Llanelli and this was a bit like Llanelli pubs... and they weren’t very good. Needs some serious attention... new paint etc ...it has some serious competition locally

Just love this place. Every time when am going out just for "one beer" I finish there drinking shots of vodka. Don't know how it's happening all the time.

Despite this having previously been a public toilet, it was alright. The layout of the place is a bit odd, and I imagine attributed to the aforementioned toilet remark. It's quite small and the bar is situated right where there's a doorway, so you feel totally in the way while at the bar. Then there's the room that the doorway leads to, which had like 1 or 2 odd placed tables in the entire room, so I wasn't sure what the purpose of the room was. If you just want a low-key no frills joint for a quick drink, this might be your spot. However, it wasn't really my cup of tea.

Cute space, bigger inside than it looks. The singers/music was very loud, which over powered the ability to talk. But worth a visit.!

Very cozy atmosphere. They had live music or kareoke. We enjoyed cocktails. The burger was not wow but was ok :)

Really old school pub. Very friendly, always lots of welsh people there plus lots of other British travellers and locals. Cozy in winter with fireplace. Good for watching rugby.

We hosted the first British expats of Wellington meet up group here last week with no issues. It was a good place to have a meet up, great beers and tasty fried snacks!

I still visit here any time I'm in Wellington, more for nostalgia than anything else. Whenever I've been there recently, it hasn't had the same atmosphere as a few years back.

None of the staff actually spoke Welsh but it was nice to pop in and speak Welsh to some of the other customers. Good atmosphere and good quality alcohol.
