Absolutely brilliant place. Good vibe, outdoor and in feel. Nice craft beer list and well priced wine. We had the fish and a Moroccan chicken salad followed by home made sticky date pudding. Superb service and perfectly paced.

This is the only place we’ve really eaten so far in Whangarei because we keep going back. The $15 lamb shank special on Wednesdays is amazing. The wedges and hot chocolate are delicious. The cocktails and iced chocolate are quite good. Staff are very friendly. At the start the waitresses are quick and attentive but after 1.5 - 2 hours they sometimes stop asking for drinks and it’s harder to get their attention. It can be pretty cold outside in July and unfortunately there aren’t many tables inside so I’d recommend booking ahead if you want to be a bit warmer (it’s still not toasty though because the large door stays open). Apart from that I’d highly recommend this place to anyone for affordable, delicious food and drinks.

The food came in really late. While placing the order we were told that it will take half an hour for the food to come to the table. We were fine with it. But food didn't come out even after one and half hours. I still give them a 5 star for 1) for the genuine care of the staffs and the quality of food. 2) It was father's day and they were busy. They did come and check on us a couple of time during the wait. At one point we did get a bit itsy and contemplated walking out, when we saw a group of 8 who came in half an hour after us getting their food while we were still waiting for ours. I should mention this guy who took our order, he was exceptional. Just before we left I heard, he had to jump in the kitchen to help the chef with our order as we have been waiting far too long. Kudos to him, we will be back.

My favourite Northland venue to meet with friends. Good craft beer selection, good food, including vegan and vegetarian and I have enjoyed some great entertainment including Reb Fountain, Don McGlashan, Exponents. One of the things I will miss most about Northland.

We had a meal here recently with a family group of 9, including children. I was a bit dubious of the venue for children but it was great. The service was exceptional and food fab. Big portions, fresh and delicious. We needed doggy bags and noticed other diners doing the same! Would definitely go again when visiting Whangarei.

It was nice. Kids cheeseburger- the patty was spicy and my 6year old couldn't eat it. Quite strange for a kids burger to be spicy. We ordered the sliders, popcorn prawns and loaded fries for starters and got them after our mains. Mains we got ribs & steak. Steak tasted burnt. Service was ok. They never came back to see if we were ok (more drinks etc) I asked if I could have some Aioli sauce but never got it but they remembered to charge me for it🤔and never cleared our table as we ordered our desserts. We ate all courses with a cluttered table.

What a fantastic setting with awesome decor! The place was buzzing when we were there. The halloumi on my salad was a bit dried out for my liking, but everything else was great.

We came with our big dog Gracie and felt so welcomed! What wonderful staff who brought over a bowl of iced water for her and fussed over her with lots of cuddles. My friend brought me here for dinner last night while visiting Whangarei, this place is awesome! I was so surprised at the price of normal fizzy drinks (only $4 a glass!) it’s so cheap compared to bars/restaurants back home as going out in Auckland the night before I paid $7 for a small glass of coke. I had the vege Nachos and the quality and value for money was amazing! A huge meal for under $20. Wait staff were so amazing and friendly, a really cool relaxed atmosphere inside.

Amazing atmosphere. Theres plenty of space, lighting is just right. (we came with a table of 7) Theres plenty of room outside aswell. Our hostess was awesome, great service and had smiles all round. The food was not what we expected, HUGE portions we got full before the main lol. Amazing food! So yummy! They also have a bar 😍 Highly recommended place to go for lunch, dinner or drinks!

Wow! Our frequent trips to Whangarei have until now presented the problem of not enough quality places to eat at. Not anymore! This pub has exceptional grub and is really a fusion type of venue: great selection of beer and wine and a stage (under a canopy) for evening gigs. But we took our 2-year-old and found it to be family friendly. We saw a table of huge guys order HUGE plates of ribs but there was food for the likes of us as well, namely, the Veganator Burger that I ate and the sweet potato and halloumi burger for my wife, both of which came with a generous pottle of beautifully crisp hot chips. The Veganator was made with jackfruit (and other stuff) and was delectable. The service was really good as well, attentive and keen to know that we were okay. Totally loved the industrial type atmosphere in this old butter factory, as well. Top marks!

Just enjoyed an amazing lunch with family at The Butter Factory. Totally amazing experience. The staff were very accommodating when dietary requirements were asked about. We sat outside in the glorious sun and when it got too hot a huge umbrella was put up to shade us. The service was awesume from beginning to end and the food was hot, beautifully presented and delicious, served with crisp and cold IPA from the tap and lemon, lime and bitters. Would highly recommend stopping here for lunch any day.

I cannot praise the food here enough. Everything that was delivered to our table was amazing! The staff are friendly and it has a great indoor/outdoor flow. There is a stage set up outside to host the many musicians who play there in the evenings. If you're in the area - you can't go wrong grabbing a bite to eat here

Well we have been wanting to have a meal here since we spotted it on facebook. And it didn't disappoint at all. We both had the Lamb Shanks and Jalapeño Poppers to share. The Lamb fell of the bone and the jus was to die for. We enjoyed the atmosphere and food so much we went back for lunch the next day. This time I had the Ribs with sticky BBQ sauce and the wife had the Rib eye. Again the meals were delicious and well presented. The building is going through some major alterations and i can see this is going to be an even more amazing place to eat in the future.

Great burgers at a FANTASTIC price, on Tuesdays that is, man I love the Tuesday burger deal, I wish it was Tuesday everyday, I'd have their burgers forever. Even without the deal most of the burgers are well priced, especially given that it's not your average fast food burger quality despite the quick times for being served, they are great burgers with great ingredients, top stuff there buttero factoro!
