Pork ribs, scotch filet steak and garlic bread… Everything was delicious. And, of course, you can’t go wrong with Guinness! Next time I’m in the town I’ll definitely return back to this pub! Thank you!

I really am gobsmacked on the service . We ordered bottle of wine that was in front of us within 10mins asking us if we were ready to order . We ordered seafood Chowder and prawn skewers as a entre and the main meal at the same time. The entre was placed in front of us within 10mins . Was only half way through the entre and the mains was brought out. Should of did less talking and more eating. Massive feed , thank God for doggy bags . And the meals were reasonably priced . You do need to book , it was chocka . Nice clean rest room .the table's were wiped and disinfected between each sitting. Overall very inviting and the staff were very pleasant .

Ordered the traditional Irish open steak and Guinness pie on mash potatoes. Flavour was good, but only 4 tiny bits of meat. Paid over $25 for the amount of $5 pie. Staff and service was great! BTW also paid $28 for a capsicum filled with vegetables and rice (or a vegetable stuffed vegetables) hahaha;-)

They nicely poured my pint of Guiness, and it tasted good. I only drink Guiness in pubs pouring plenty of it and a good few in the bar were having a pint of the black stuff! Food looked good. Staff attentive. Parents seemed happy with a playground across the road for the rug rats, they could have a drink in the sun while the kids played, but still keep an eye on them, with a drink in hand.

Foods was on point, massive servings so if you aren't a big eater I suggest you just order a main instead of a entree and main. We ordered entrees not knowing the servings were huge so it made it hard to finish our mains. We are big eaters so I really recommend this place to those that eat alot and also value their money as it will go a long way at this restaurant. When the mains came out my eyes almost dropped out at the size of the plate. All the food we ordered was delicious. We ordered and only waiting maybe 10 mins for the entrees to come out then another 10-15 for the mains. The service was awesome and very polite. Lovely family setting and has seating available inside as well as out with a cute little pond with fish swimming around. Will be returning

Nice place, great location. It is an Irish bar by name but hardly Irish. Bar closed early at 9:30pm on a Friday night, this would have anyone of Irish decent turning in their grave. Food menu good, we had the chicken parmigiana which was average and a pretty small bit of chicken. The best part of the place was $11 for a 500ml Stella, not impressed with the pizza, they burnt it and tried to hide the fact by cutting off the burnt bits... not good

We had lunch at Grace O'Malley's and enjoyed the cosy atmosphere. My partner had the open steak and Guiness pie, which he judged to be really tasty, with perfectly cooked veges to accompany it. I chose a small portion of fish and chips. It was very generous for small, and the only complaint would be the over dressed salad...... being someone who doesn't like too much dressing, I prefer it to be on the side. Overall though, a very good meal.

I've been coming here for years but today's food was pretty poor. Ribs very dry, I'll stick to their mussels next time . The serving staff member lovely, bar lady dodgy (!) May require some customer service training.

it's an AMAZING place to eat, and chill and do whatever but what really threw me off was the ketchup, it tasted like it was washed with vinegar and refilled about 18 times, but it is a beautiful place, a cute little sort of lake when your walking along the small bridge to get there a nice outdoors area you can sit and eat there is three different types of tables you can sit at, the outdoors seats are sort of like a picnic bench which is cute, and comfy and there are more taller seats and more that are like the ones outside but normal, more comfier seats

One word - Delicious! A warm, family friendly atmosphere. All of our meals were generously sized and cooked very well. Despite there being a lot of patrons for a Tuesday night, the waiting times were very minimal. Would definitely eat there again !

Such a great place to go. Literally the only place to sit down and eat in whitianga after 730pm but very good pub grub. Pizza is good, burger is good, Guinness is good. Just come along, you won't regret it.

As far as pubs go this was a above average visit. The food is nothing tobrave about except the delicious pizzas that we had previously. This time around the food was ok and were it nor for the burnt chips I would've been smiling all night. Nothing, however, Can replace good seand this is a standout at this place... happy smiles all around making visitors welcome and wanting to come again.

We walked in, it was super busy. Found a table and made our order. Expected at least a 45min wait for our food but it only took like 20mins for everything to come out and it was all amazing! We didn't expect the meals to be so big, so we over ordered but we were quickly given takeaway containers and were off on our merry way. Thank you! Was absolutely AWESOME.

This place has a really good view and plenty of outdoor seating. The food was ok, we order a bunch of different shared dishes, the waiter didn’t give us any side plates to eat off and they weren’t around for us to ask. After a full day walking around, the last thing you want to do is look for a waiter or go to the counter and ask for utensils etc. I suppose out of the shared dishes the wedges were the best. The buffalo wings were dry chicken pieces with sauce over it, Not the greatest.

Travelling during Covid-19 Alert Level 2 and enjoyed an evening meal at this Irish Bar - Restaurant. Good sign-in, seating and waiting procedures all the time redirecting social distancing. A couple of drunk patrons didn't respect social distancing with strangers... Good meals, service and ambience amid challenging times and patron demands. Indoor or outdoor dining and bar service. Great water views during daylight hours too.

Awesome Irish pub. The standard sticky wooden floor all Irish pubs should have from so many beers being spilt and the food even though super busy was hot, fast and good value. For an Irish pub this was a great place and the kids were happy too. Well worth a visit of looking for a pub with good beer range and decent range in menu. Great if you have kids as well.

The staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming; especially Saskia! She looked after us all evening, made a great pizza suggestion and made sure our glasses were always full. They followed all the guidelines for good Covid practises and I enjoyed the table service. We will be back for sure!

Great pub..my favourite in Whitianga. Staff are friendly, food is good and the view is fantastic. Even when they are busy, I always seem to find a place to sit. Good selection of beers and the food comes out reasonably quickly and there is a good range of meals to choose from.

A great place to pull up for a pint. We sat on the patio for a spell got our cider n wines on while the world drifted by. Clouds blew in & it started bucketing down so everyone rolled inside & continued on unphased. Clean establishment with good jams on the box. Helpful & friendly staff.

Set up is a bit weird. We were seated but wasn’t told how you received food in the restaurant. We waited for at least 10mins until we got a waiter to tell us that you had to order in the counter. We had no menu in the tables and they didn’t even serve water. Food was delicious so that was a positive.

Oh, and the beer did its job too. I’d go back. On a side note, I tried my wife’s twisted shrimp which were pleasantly unusual and also great.

Beautiful atmosphere by the water. This pub is rarely busy and has a big food and drinks menu. Recommend the Munster pizza and the seafood chowder. Both of those meals were exquisite and filling.

I usually try and stay away from themed bars when you're in a particular place, but I somehow stumbled in here. I was really impressed overall, the food was excellent and the prices were VERY reasonable! Staff were friendly, I even asked for the chilli sauce to be replaced with Aioli and without hesitation, they replaced it. Seems like such a small detail but I know a lot of places that just wouldn't even be able to do that. Would definitely come back!

Had lunch here during 4th of July celebrations, Amazing Grace pizza is good. Always enjoy sitting outside overlooking the wharf and river. The outdoor fire is lit every evening creating an awesome atmosphere.

A year ago I said "Good service and good pub food with a relaxed atmosphere." A year later the food seems to have suffered an attack of the leprechauns. We had a chicken burger, fish and chips, and a chicken caesar salad. At all about $25 what we got was pretty average, especially for the price, and the salad was seriously weird. A salad of diced ham and chicken chunks with a poached egg on top. That is my poodles idea of a salad! Some croutons might have got it over the line but they were sadly missing.

Weirdest experience at a bar ever. Lady didn’t seem sure if I was allowed a glass with my bottle of porter... She knew nothing about any of the beers even after her colleague had told her the answer to my question (Do you have any dark beers?) The chap with the beard was helpful and friendly. We didn’t eat but got food envy for the ribs that came out around us.

When I walk into a pub, I'm really looking for a good atmosphere and this place was emitting some awesome vibes! I am an Irish lady myself and this is definitely one of the better Irish pubs I have been to. They had Bushmills whiskey which is a massive plus for me! Guinness on tap and they had cans of Kilkenny. Of course it's better to have it on tap but I can't imagine there is much of a market for Kilkenny draught! Vegetarian food options could be better but the pizza margherita I had was very tasty! You won't be disappointed here.
