S.Mo was brilliant, guided us towards a fabulous night. Everything was yum, was hard to pick but least favourite was the burrata and eggplant because of the temperature of the cheese was too warm. Overall, lovely experience.

The three of us shared a number of. delicious dishes. The standout for me was an excellent Dicey Bannockburn central Otago Riesling , it has all of us wanting more... We'll definitely be back for more one day soon....
M.Awesome experience. We went for a date night and it was so good! As a novice wine drinker, Mo helped me with finding a wine that was to my liking and explained them very well! The food was delicious, exepcially the mushrooms. We were on the high leaners which was actually not bad! Highly recommend.

With Mo out front and wife Leslie is the kitchen the combination of good company and food is why we choose to come back time and time again. A.It was a night filled with delights. Welcoming staff and atmosphere. The food OMG who would have thought roasted cabbage and cauliflower would be a show stopper. Their metre long sausage is the bomb too. That's the only photo because I was eating.
Everything we had was on point, 8 of us shared a selection of delights. Menu is bloody good, wine is yummy. Just a place that makes Auckland dining stand out. Can not recommend Apero enough. With what we ate and drank and the standard of food and service it is value for money without a doubt

L.Love this place! A bit of a hidden gem, not in the midst of the usual dining areas. It’s a wine bar with a short but well-formed food menu. The service is friendly and very knowledgeable.
We were looking to try a different wine and the owner was really helpful in making suggestions and let us try a couple before deciding on a delicious Chilean red that we wouldn’t have picked by ourselves.
The food is a tapas menu with smaller through to larger dishes. Everything was delicious. We started with goats cheese croquettes that were flavoursome without being too rich. The two outstanding dishes were the grilled mackerel (beautiful flavour for a “boring”fish) and the cheese board, which actually had more crackers than needed, something I’ve almost never seen elsewhere.
Apero is popular, so it pays to book.

C.WOW what an amazing evening. A warm welcome when we arrived and the service throughout the evening was just amazing. The food was delicious and interesting - we had everything off the specials board and from the menu and were most impressed.
We all had an incredible evening and would highly recommend and we cannot wait to come back for another excellent meal.

D.Using fresh imgredients cooked in simple but perfect way to deliver the best taste. Entree Coriander falafel and goat cheese croquettes were divine, bread were served warm with nice butter. Simple food served at its best way.
Main snapper ceviche dish was beautifully designed and had interesting condiments like wasabi cream, pickled yuza, edible flowers and home made horseradish essence to bring fresh summer taste. Only sad part is it was such small dish for main at $35 per plate, but definitely worth having it. Also, must try their home made sausage, we had foot long one and instantly regretted that we didnt get 60cm size.
Dessert was bit disappointing, rather order more main or entree dishes.

A.Extensive wine list, knowledgeable staff, amazing food, their signature home-made sausage is very good! Fish of the day was a pan fried mackerel with dill chantilly, hands down the best mackerel I've had. Glad we tried a few of the seasonal blackboard's dishes too, highlight is the feijoa crumble number, it is so flavourful I'm considering coming back for more before the season finishes.
A.Beautiful setting, incredibly knowledgeable and personable staff who connect with diners, yummy seasonal menu with lots of vegetarian options. Wine options were plentiful and also pretty affordable as well. Amazing experience! :)
2.Amazing service, great wine... and the food was outstanding. We ordered a big selection from the starters menu so we couldn’t fit dessert - based on how delicious everything we had was we will be back to tackle the dessert menu ASAP

M.OMG, our first time here the other night. How did we not know about this place before? We have already recommended to all our friends. The service was fantastic, the food amazing and the atmosphere busy and buzzing and yet calm and pleasant. We loved every second from the moment we walked in the door. One word to sum up, phenomenal. We will be back for sure.

I have not had something like this since I lived in Europe. This reminds me of something I'd find in the back streets of the nicer European towns; the old sections.
Amazing quality of what is served. The food was exquisite and the wine I had was absolutely gorgeous. I am not one to throw around high recommendations, but this one deserves it. Not only is the food great, the place has an amazing ambience and the staff was so helpful and had a great attitude.
Only remark is that portions aren't exactly huge and I'd have liked if fellow guests had been good at closing the door. Well worth it. I'd go again!

S.I was here for dinner few months ago. It’s a great little cozy spot with a good list of wine selections. The ambience is good. The food is yummy and the staff always suggest great wine-food pairing options. The staff is professional and has good customer service skills. G.This could be foodie heaven. We stopped in for a drink as we grazed our way down K-Road. The croquettes and the olives were tasty and delicious, and the rest of the menu looked equally scrumptious. The croquettes disappeared before I could take a photo. Fortunately others before me were quicker. Welcomed with open arms we were too. Enjoy.

A.My wife and I ate here tonight. I have been trying to get here for at least a year but with an unepected night without kids, and being in town anyway, thought we would give this place a go. First the service.It's very good, unassuming, laid back. The food at this place is simply OUTSTANDING. I mean seriously awesome. Pretty much had their specials board from start to finish and didn't feel right having it without the signature sausage from the main menu which is served by the 1/4 Meter. All the ingrediants were seasonal, treated with the utmost care, presented like a piece of art and tasted like fireworks going off in your mouth in the best possible way. The only issue we had, was really we felt the portion sizes were too small. Dinner cost us $100 for 2 people and we both left actively hungry which isn't something that happens almost ever before. We could have ordered more, but we felt we ordered enough. I do understand fine dining is quality over quantity, we eat fine dining a lot, but I do think they should possibly review this. I'd still go back again and recommend this place without hesitation. The food is sensational.
T.So very nice. Small plates, but each one exquisitely formed. You really don't expect much when you first come in, as you think 'this is going to be standard pub fare', but don't let the ambience fool you. There is obviously a large amount of care and attention put into the food, and it shows. One of the best paces I've eaten all year.
A.Apero is a tiny little place doing great food and wine. It is very intimate, and you may even find yourself sharing a long table in a group of 4. The food is divine, all designed to be shared by the table. Amazing meats but plenty of vegetarian options too. Highly recommended.

Z.5 stars! We went with a group of 7-8 and were too busy catching up on lost time to spend it looking at the menu. The waiter took the hint and told us he could just sort it out and bring us good food. Boom! What a fantastic way to have a meal with friends. Plates of delicious food came out and we shared and feasted. Our vague descriptions of the sort of drink we felt like materialised as on-the-money beverages.
