Reviews of Boracay Garden Restaurant Ltd

Love the hospitality of the staff and the food is amazing. It is our second time to dine in.
Kare-Kare and crispy pata is always a hit.. The stir fry veggie is stale, no flavour. I suggest you order the pancit which we tried before.
We will come back again..

We had decided to dine at Boracay Filipino Restaurant situated in the heart of Auckland. My wife is craving for filipino Palabok and Halo Halo. Surely if you are a Filipino, when you eat here you will walk out satisfied for the taste and service. If you know the word "nabutigan ako".
Pros: easy to find location, tasty food, large serving, very friendly service staff.
Cons: $$$,

Service was good. Lechon kawali was crispy and juicy, the way I liked it. Sinigang na bangus was delicious but with bones, i though it was deboned but it wasn’t. Halo-Halo was bland, there were missing ingredients. Overall experience was great.

What a delight! We were made to feel so welcome right from the time of booking. Food was divine - and the dishes are generously portioned. We can't wait to go back. Highly recommended.

Authentic filipino taste. The freshness of the food the taste and the warmth of service really reminds me of home. Personally this place offer the best filipino flavour in the country for far. If you have been wanting to try filipino food i recommend their sisig and sinigang and karekare. You wouldnt go wrong.

Love the place and the ambience, Staffs are very accomodating, booked for a birthday dinner. Food was really good and we were very happy except for the beef stew in peanut sauce that is too sweet for our taste bud, but aside from that we were very happy and will definitely come back.

If you're looking for authentic Filipino flavours, Boracay certainly doesn't disappoint but that's just it. The restaurant certainly makes unassuming and delicious Filipino food but the buck stops there. Dining there doesn't feel like eating out, it feels as if you're just eating mom's home cooking (not that there's anything wrong with it but you eat out for a special reason). The restaurant has tasteless decor and plays tacky music reminiscent of Philippine beer houses back in the day.
The $10 siomai for 8 pieces is probably the most value-for-money item. The serving sizes for the meals that we had were inconsistent, the lechon kawali and bistek Tagalog that we ordered, for example, was supposed to be good for one but was good for two. The pancit canton was only good for one despite being supposed to be a sharing platter. I would love to see them offer basic single-person meal sets for a lower price ($15 at most) or keep it at $20 but add some sides to the meal at least.
Our waitresses were very polite and friendly and the service was fast and efficient. It's location was also a plus, not right on the waterfront but close enough.
We didn't order or try enough items on the menu to be able to get at a more definitive rating so I'm going to say we are going back again and give it another go.

We dined our at Boracay Garden Restaurant to try Filipino cuisine on the recommendation of a work mate and as soon as we entered, we were warmly welcomed with open arms by the host and greeted with a gleaming smile. The restaurant interior was very humble and it was teaming with many Filipino families.
Between the 3 of us we ordered various dishes to share including steamed siomai, fried siomai with pork and prawn and lumpia to start with mango and coconut smoothies. The lumpia was particularly delicious texture and flavour wise.
For mains, we tried lechon kawali deep fried pork, adobo chicken and Java rice. I loved the chicken with the Java rice, these were my favourite dishes of the night.
To finish if we ordered the leche flan, bilo-bilo and buko-pandan. I really enjoyed the buko-pandan.
Overall, our dining experience was amazing, the service was excellent and I’d like to visit again!

Edit: very pricey but overall good!
Feels like that I'm back in the Philippines hehe! Great food, good staff, and very atmospheric as well! Karaoke is a great way to be distracted! Recommended for all!
