Offering a range of traditional Italian options, Botticelli feels like a restaurant straight out of Italy. Both a bar and a restaurant, they offer a great range of in-house pizzas and pastas. I had ordered their popular fettuccine con capesante e salmone which was balanced in taste overall but the presentation was unfortunately poor, furthermore only a small amount of salmon was present in the dish. There was more watery sauce to weight and I suspect as if the scallops were frozen as they did not taste fresh. Their handmade fettuccine noodles were great nonetheless and staff were very kind. I'd say it is quite expensive for what they offer.

Party of 6 adults and 2 children enjoyed a delicious range of pasta dishes. Exceptional value for money with beautiful flavours. The dessert menu was varied, well priced and again very tasty. Meals were well presented, staff friendly. Thanks for a great night out.

For me to drive to the North Shore the restaurant has to be good, I have been before and throughly enjoyed it. It’s got great ambiance and very suitable for a date night, friends gathering or a special occasion. Loved the menu choice, the staff were super friendly and it’s difficult for them wearing masks and pleasing everyone. We felt secure had to show our COVID passes, prices medium, portions generous. Lovely Italian food in the middle of Takapuna well worth the 40 minute drive, if you are local or a visitor to Auckland give it a go you will not be disappointed. Thanks for a lovely evening

This restaurant used to be our favorite. Well no any more we got reservations 4 nights prior my son's birthday. We arrived to no table as they had a mistake. They did give us a table inside after about half an hour. Food was disappointing to few of us the rest had fun.

They made a small mistake on the order but they totally accepted it and offered us free drinks. Lovely people and place with a great atmosphere.

Food was adequate. We ordered lamb ragu and chicken (pollo) fettuccine. What we got wasn't fettuccine unfortunately but was hand cut pasta. Chicken and lamb were both overcooked, but the sauces were alright. Nothing amazing. Service was a real letdown, we waited 10 minutes before we got our own menus. When we went to pay, we weren't asked how the food was and were given the docket after we paid. Wont be coming again.

The smell of the food wafted across my nose from the table behind me. The band was restarting when I took the photo of the small room next door whilst I sat in the dining part of the restaurant . We sat near a wide open window as the early summer evening in Takapuna drifted into a clear night sky. After a well presented Italian dinner we drove down to the Takapuna beach for a quiet seaside walk. Which was well patronized before returning home.

The food was nice, although I wouldn’t have used smoked salmon in the lemon sauce pasta - the flavour was a bit overpowering. Otherwise nice wine, nice place :)

My husband and I have being a couple of times to this restaurant and never been disappointed. But yesterday we tried the bar area which is right next door. We absolutely loved it, so beautifully decorated inside, great selection of wine and reasonable prices and the bruschetta was divine. This could be a place for a wine, nice chat and great nibbles as well.

Botticelli is one of North Shores icon restaurants. Even under lockdown their menu for takeaways is similar to normal service and all meals received have been up to their high standards. If you have never tried their food, you should. I do believe you will become one of the many, who always come back for more.

Service was great, really friendly and inviting. The food we had was average to above average, the rest of our party said it was OK but nothing to rave about, we liked it but probably wouldn't be my first choice for Italian food on the shore.

However we were a bit disappointed when a large group of older retired men came in and took over a large chunk of the restaurant, and there was only 1 waiter working. Service suffered a bit after that. But he kept up like a champion. Would come back, just need to time it right.

It was very nice and the staff were actually Italian and could explain the different features of the various items of the menu. The meals were superb just big enough that none of us could actually finish our plates, next time I think we will share the entree to leave a little more room for the fantastic meals Oh and the place was understandably full.

Probably the best Italian restaurant in Auckland, Their pasta dishes are outstanding and authentic. Desserts and coffees also a delight, although I would recommend sharing desserts as they are delicious but very sweet and filling so can be too much of a good thing and threaten to overwhelm the superb first dish. Highly recommended with lovely service as well.

This unassuming little restaurant in Takapuna doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is simply amazing! Generous portions and absolutely delicious. We had mussels and the antipasto platter to start both of which were incredible. For our mains we had the steak with a peppercorn sauce which was cooked perfectly with the sauce so fresh and creamy without being too heavy. With that we also ordered the duck ravioli from the specials menu which again was one of the best things I have tasted in a long time! The wine was also amazing. I can see now why this place was so busy on a Monday night. We'll definitely be back.

Nice interiors, a tad cramped but could be worse. The food was good however the main let down was that the price is quite high considering the quality, we ordered a pollo gorgonzola, while the chicken was amazing the seasonal vegetables were average, it was quite obvious that the vegetables were pre-cooked and microwaved again to heat them up, major turn off for me. Would like to try the pasta if i go again.

First things first, I'm a man that loves my food, especially Italian. I remember I came to this restaurant about six years ago and the food and service was top notch. My wife and I came here a couple of nights back and we were really excited as we stay in Wellington. The food was perfect, lovely service as we expected. This is by far the best Italian restaurant we have had on the North Shore, let alone Auckland.

We planned a meal for a friend's birthday and liked the BYO option. Our friends were held up, so we ordered an antipasto for four so that it was there when they arrived. After our friends arrived we waited quite a while and finally the antipasto arrived. It was very average. They brought water to the table and filled mine up a few centimetres. We had to beckon a waiter to take a main course order. No one explained the Specials or talked about the menu.Two of the meals arrived quite a while before the others, mine looked as if it had been kept hot. We had to ask for cutlery and fresh serviettes. No one came to check if we needed anything, offer fresh black pepper or check on the water etc. The meals were again, average. We waited a long, long time and tried to get someone's attention for a dessert menu with no luck and we finally gave up, paid the bill and left. There was no toilet paper to hand in the ladies loo either. Very disappointing all round. There are so many great places to eat in Takapuna and this old "favourite" needs to sharpen up the service to be in the competition.

Went for dinner for the first time with my girlfriend a couple weeks or so back. We were the first to arrive at around 5.30ish. The waitress on that particular evening didn't look as though she wanted to be there, as she barely greeted us. We were given big cubes of ice in our glasses 3/4 full, and poured water. We felt it a little odd for winter, as the night was fairly chilly and requested the ice be removed. The toilet area was also very crammed, so it's best suited for smaller people. Fortunately... their saving grace was definitely the food! It was amazing! Wait was about 20 mins or so, fairly standard. Beautifully cooked and presented. Great flavors! Reasonably priced for Takapuna. It's too bad the service was lacking that night, otherwise would have given them more stars and would be more inclined to return.

Everything was just "okay". The food and service was nice but nothing particularly memorable. The best thing about this restaurant is the atmosphere - very lively, warm, and welcoming. But that being said... I have had better Italian food from the other Italian restaurant right down the road.

The food is excellent. Chicken was perfectly cooked in the Pollo Frangelico and so were the king prawns in Gamberoni. We tried the Torta Botticelli for dessert, which was amazing!! It is a bit on the expensive side and the chairs are very uncomfortable. I can't imagine how would the big kiwi's fit in those small chairs and able to dine at the tiny tables? Ambience is nice, but a bit dull. Service speed was decent, no complaints.

I go here every chance I get when visiting auckland. I ordered frangelico chicken the first time I went there about 11 years ago and pretty much every time since. Always leave too full because it is so delicious! I never want to stop eating even when I can't fit it in (meals are quite big!). Don't ever change.
