My first time here. Had heard about their Korean chicken (in a hotdog roll, not burger buns) and can say that I was impressed. Juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside and amazing seasoning (hot). We got a takeaway and the chicken retained it's crispiness. The hotdog roll sandwich does seem odd but they were the brioche equivalent of long rolls...soft pillowy and buttery. Sauce was nice and salad added to the texture. Also got their chips with cheese seasoning...loved em although I wish there were more. For the prime location, their pricing seems right. Staff is nice and friendly, greeted us well. Def recommend, esp their Korean chicken roll/sandwich.

love their service. unfortunately i can only eat their vegetarian options, so i can't say anything about their meats but i clearly loved my burgers and the coffee that pink hair girl made for me for three weeks that i worked there. i will go back again when i get time and opportunity 😊

First time here. Amazing korean chicken, the best salty skin on fries and a delicious interesting hot dog bun burger. Reminds me of Five Guys.

Had bad boy burger and it was very good .. unlike the normal round shaped burger, it was rectangular, kind of like a big hot dog.. great location..

The Frickin Chicken burger was just delicious. One of the best I have ever had. For the size of the burger there were too many fries and so a number were wasted. Loved the chocolate milkshake. Music was great. I just wish the servers looked like they wanted to be there.

2nd time at this place. 1st visit wasnt as impressive. Cost still high which is the only down point. This visit was great. Tried the Korean Chicken burger for myself and vege burger combo for my little one. They were kind enough to swap falafel with egg at no extra cost( and so it shud be right!). Both Berger's were lovely but think I preferred the vege burger more. Service was pleasant as well and wait on order was fast. Not many people while we were there but soon it got busier(to be honest, wherever we go I have noticed, it starts with empty to not to busy to then super busy, after our visit). Once in a while treat only basis(for me anyway) as a combo will cost you around $20😱 hence I only got a burger for $12.50😱😱. Vege combos the cheapest, thank goodness. All in all, a good treat👍🏼⁹

Amazing service. I loved that we had an issue and the manager was very helpful. We had to go back there. The food was great, the service was even better!

Someone complained these burgers are not New Zealand-style burgers, and I think that's a compliment. As Americans, we're happy to find an American-style burger which means a thinner patty, more coarsely-ground beef, and grilled with to nice char on the outside. Burger Boy does this well, and for all for a low price. No, it's not a classic New Zealand burger, but it is a good example of an American burger and very tasty. Good fries and shakes (thick American style), too.

I asked for chicken and they gave me beef.. I live just upstairs and it’s one of the few places that open late at night. The sizes are small and at $12.50 each you definitely are paying premium due to location. The burger was satisfying tho, just a bit pricy. Excellent value for money with the combo meals. Burgers and chips are tasty. Their service is really poor though.

Second time visited and both times happy with the quick , freshly made service and end product. Went for the $7 cheeseburger option, no fries and helped myself to free water. Much tastier than McDonalds or Burger King. Good location for people watching at the intersection of the Viaduct with Lower Hobson Street.

Man I really wanted their fried chicken, pineapple, and BBQ special burger but since it's my first time here, had to go for the Good Boy and fries combo. They put their burgers in long buns to make them stand out a tiny bit and were classically good. The shoestring fries weren't bad either, pretty salty, but felt a little too much just like maccas fries. I'm sure one day I'll get them again, but not rushing out. Better than Better Burger at least.

Clean environment and fairly friendly staff. The food wasn't quite what I'd call 'fast' but it was cooked fresh, was a decent size and tasted good. Our meal automatically came with ketchup but it would have been nice to be offered alternatives, if you're as fussy as I am! $15 for a cheeseburger, fries and medium drink, not cheap but not expensive either. Overall would recommend.

The burger flavor is awesome, "buns are a little not so soft". The fries are satisfyingly quite crunchy and have a flavor of their own. The Classic view of the famous Auckland sky tower combined with the ambience surrounding the viaduct.

Ordered through Uber Eats. Got the Frickin' Chicken Burger with Shoestring Fries and a Drink. ($19.50) Pricier than other burger combos i've had. Definitely a generous serving of chips with lots of the Cheese Salt seasoning. The burger itself was more average I was expecting. A glorified chicken sandwich (consisted of Free range NZ chicken breast, Burger Boy spice, fresh tomato, iceberg, red onion, hot boy sauce & mayo). Overall really underwhelmed. Still want to try their cheeseburger though.

It is common in Auckland to get burgers with beef from grass fed cows. I would be healthy if I stayed here.

The fries are great and its pretty cool that they serve the soft drinks in glasses, however the cheeseburger was pretty average.

I've often walked past this place on my way to and from work, this morning I had a need for a feed, and I'm glad I popped in. The breakfast bap was delicious; egg, lots of bacon, salad in a bun & a hot coffee. Totally filled the gap and set me up for the day 😁

Had an amazingly premo fish burger and chips before our night out in town. We even went back after the clubs closed for round 2 before going hm too bed. Yummy as burgers keep up the awesome cooking boys so yummy 🎉🎆🍔🍟💯

Great burger, wanted something a bit spicy and was just the right level. The chef made a point of coming and asking how it was so obviously takes pride in his work. Loved it, will be back.

The restaurant was clean and neat when we arrived. Food was tasty, presented and cooked well. It was late on a Thursday night and I was not expecting too much but was pleasantly suprised at how nice everything was.

We visited this burger bar on a weekday lunch so it wasn’t very busy. Plenty of seating inside and out. Menu is semi basic however it has all your needs for a burger and fries bar. The customer service is quite poor from the person taking your orders assuming you know what and where to go as we had to ask a lot of questions like where do we pick up our food or is it table service or how do we get our drinks. Basic questions which we thought the information would have been provided. Only bad thing is you have to go up to the kitchen area and wait for your number to be yelled out which isn’t good if your sitting outside as we had to have someone wait inside for over 20 mins waiting. If they brought in those buzzers when your foods ready that would be a great addition.

If you want a fresh burger thats different from the norm, try Burger boy. Very delicious burgers that have a different flavour over regular burgers. They are served in a longer bun which is definitely a novel idea for a burger. The fries are very good and prices are quite low if you consider that these are real fresh burgers and not the typical fast food slop. Definitely give it a go.

Open late with a good location for those spending a night in Wynyard. The food was reasonably good in a fast food style and served fairly quickly. The table top was pretty sticky with some unknown substance. Didnt see if there were toilets or not.

The burger was good, juice. I just don't like the way it gets packed. It comes wrapped in a paper the same as kebabs which makes difficult to keep it safe while you are eating it, typically pieces of meat might drop down. Anyway overall experience is fine.

Burgers aren't the best I've ever had, but for a small place in a tourist area they were good enough. I found the meat patty was small compared to the size of the bun and it took 3 bites to get any meat. Fries (chips) were great and the portion was a great value. Staff were polite.

I had a Bad Boy Bubba burger combo. The burger was really good, the patty had a tasty flame-grilled flavour and the sauce was pretty good. The serving of sides was generous, but heavily salted, and I couldn't finish them. The coffee was surprisingly good!

Great place in the viaduct to grab some cheapish and quick food , although for some reason we did order Combos and they chargesmd us extra for the drinks!? Very confusing! Otherwise the burgers were really tasty, and they chips were crispy and delicious. This place has a cool vibe, the staff were really friendly and the food was delivered to the table quite fast and the portion sizes are quite generous.

Burger has a 'different' seasoned taste to it. Definitely not your normal burger joint taste. Quick service, decent atmosphere, and great location. The fries were good, but the burger was just not good. I'm sure others will enjoy it, but there are plenty of better places to eat if you are worried about the weird taste of the seasoning they use here.

We really enjoyed the breakfast at burger boy and I really want to appreciate the chef who gave us personalized service which really means a lot. He was really awesome and because of him we will come back...

Tried their Korean Chicken burger, was good. Found a bit overpriced against the quantity (the burger was not any different from BK chicken in shape); however considering their location and cleanliness, one may find the prices reasonable.

Good selection of burgers, good ambiance, great and friendly staff. The breakfast stack is superb! Prices are fair and not too expensive - you get what you pay for. When you are in the mood for a proper burger and fries, you can't go wrong with Burger Boy.

Family burger night a treat for the kids in the CBD after the Tepid Baths. Kids burgers were good & they were happy. Wife's chicken burger was very good & had a really good sauce with a nice spicy hit. She was well pleased. My Bad Boy burger was good, plenty of all of the quality ingredients as listed & yet it lacked any quality to it that would make me want to order it again. Simple put, there was nothing special about it. Maybe they should think about including the yummy spicy sauce from the chicken nurger to it, that would in my opinion lift it out of the 'ho-hum' category.

The burger I had was delicious, and well presented. Just a little small sadly. There was a generous serving of well-seasoned chips to go with it. The restaurant was clean and tidy, and it was an overall good experience.

I ordered a bad boy (one of the biggest) combo which was good and it just took 6 to 8 min, in my opinion very quick however I paid almost $20 and I think the burger wasn't big enough for this price (I can't even imagine the size of the others burgers) . Apart of those slighly issues, the place is clean, nice decoration and good customer service.

The Korean Chicken with fries are a good combo. Fries are perfectly seasoned with a tub of tomato sauce on the side. They also had the Special Beef and Truffle burger which is not in the regular menu. I have to say it was flavourless. Next time I will stay away from the Special menu. I will come back next time to get the Korean Chicken burger combo and the Bad Boy Bubby burger...because one burger is clearly not enough.

Was in a rush to get to the Ferry, great place to stop by. Dan's service was impeccable and very timely. (6mins!) As far as the food goes the frikken chicken burger was delicious, real and fresh ingredients. Only wish there was more! but hey, the guys got to run a profitable business after all. For the regular man the portion size is good. The fries are well seasoned and taste A LOT better than their fast food counterpart. Thanks Dan.

Great authentic burgers, busy atmosphere and good location

It's a fast food store but for that it's nicely located at the port. The view was the highway that's a minus. The food was great I had a falafel burger. Fresh ingredients a mild but flavored experience, beautiful homemade mayonnaise. At side cheddar fries can be next time thicker. Nice different taste experience from normal fries. The staff were friendly the music a nice kind of pop. For my vegetarian falafel burger I paid 6$. A price for a good portion that I would pay every day again. Meat burger depends on the choice may be higher priced.

Handy fast food joint to the viaduct when your on the go. Although has good seating. Pulp fiction theme with cool funk music in the background if your into that. Burgers are good no nonsense big beef patties with a bit of spice.

There was a brown island maori looking girl who served us today. This place was very busy during the lunch hour rush. Just wanted to say her service was beautiful. She gave us a refund. Ate there lastnight. The experience was great, the music was awesome. The burgers are so filling. They're served on a long bun and with such quality ingredients. Also had a salted caramel milkshake which was divine. The service was flawless. Highly Recommend this place to eat.

If you have the patience for there staff I would highly recommend burgers were great but the cashier in other hand.. I order 2 burgers then decided I wanted to add bacon before paying she then says she can't do that because burgers are already order so I kindly say I'm not paying because its not what I want and explain I'll go else where so I get bacon she then asks manager to add bacon so she makes a big deal about it the finally makes another order with bacon I pay for it all to realise she mucked up again.. instead of adding bacon to both we get bacon on one and an extra beef paddy on my chicken burger so I go over to the cooks and explain and they happily change it to bacon before putting it together and refund the price difference but over all food was great chips a bit salty but good server with a tub of tomato sauce. Will be going back hopefully with better service. If I just add while I was there ahe messed up 4 other orders.

Amazingly tasting burgers, large serving of fries with big container of ketchup, variety of drinks offered amd Ben & Jerrys Ice cream for dessert inna great location in Auckland. Only criticism is the very limited menu and only two side options, but the burgers are totally worth it

Nice burger but a little pricey for what you get. $14 for essentially a cheese burger, gourmet maybe, but nothing amazing. A CN Cheese at Burger Fuel has more flavour, and is cheaper. A little expensive for what's on offer.

We had wagyu beef dumplings, pork belly gua bao, fried rice with shitaki mushrooms and prawns followed by deep fried ice cream and salted butterscotch sauce. Portions were perfect, location is beautiful down at the waterfront and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely going back again.
