Treated my girls to late Dennys dinner and they were not disappointed. Our waiter was lovely and the food was good. Also the toilets were so clean and my youngest said they smelt good lol. was a great end to our great day out in the city.

Very generous portion sized breakfast with okay taste. I can normally have the breakfast for two meals. Nothing super impressive with the taste, but nothing to complain either. I never ordered meals other than breakfast before so I cannot comment on those. The restaurant is also very spacious. It is a place that I will go for a breakfast on a usual day.

A bit of a wait, but the staff are constantly on their feet so cut them some slack y'all. The food is good, and it's what you'd expect from your typical 24hr fast food place. 100% has the classic American Diner feel.

Reasonably priced. Clean and comfortable, service lacked enthusiasm and authenticity. The filtered coffee arrived stone cold, after sending it back, the same cup returned (from the microwave) piping hot. Wouldn't rush back to this particular restaurant based on this experience

We were the only patrons (maybe one other small group) but we felt like we didn't matter, we has to ask twice to place an order 15mins after we were seated, the surf n turf sirloin was overcooked (the prawns and the meat) but the Oreo shakes were delicious and the hot fudge cake was amazing as usual... There was an enthusiastic conversation in the kitchen that I'm sure we shouldn't be listening too... I couldn't give anymore stars as the service was almost non-existent. Family of 6 (3 adults, 1 teen, 1 child and a toddler) we had to find our own high chair and wipe it down. Just felt like we were an inconvenience rather than paying guests.

Surprisingly good food and large selection considering I went at 3am. Food actually matches the photos. Their country sauce (not listed in the menu) is amazing, I recommend dipping everything into it. Staff are friendly and accommodate your every request. Only reason I'm not voting 5 stars is because its not the cleanest place, I get I went there late, if it was just the tables etc at 3am I'd let it slide, but there was some 3d scum in the bottom of my glass, it looked like it had never been properly washed ever. I didn't take photo of it, I only saw it after I finished my drink, and I didn't want to look at it again after I noticed it 😫

First time here tonight for dinner. There was a little wait on food service, but the waitress that looked after us, I think her name was 'Maxine' ... Plus the on duty manager.. 'Kaisarina'?... These two workers were absolutely amazing. Definitely a credit to the restaurant.

Is the food great? No. Is the atmosphere great? No. However you wouldn't change a damn thing, it's open all the time and the food and the price and everything together just leads to a bloody good experience.

Late last week we went there around 10pm. I'm from Hamilton so I'm not used to the area. Instead of turning us away, the manager graciously let us eat there. Despite how late it was, they were willing to serve us. I'm very thankful for their kindness, and service and my and my whānau were able to enjoy that night. So thank you. They were cold to one whānau member, but it is how it flows. Still thankful 🙏

Its simple kai good for kids. I had the pulle dpork burger which had a teaspoon of coleslaw and a cup of bbq sauce. It was gross. My kids aged 11 and 10 loved their meals. French toast and Pasta. Partner had the sizzling beef which isn't real steak but more the patties chopped up into pieces. I'd go back purely for garlic bread and mashed potato. Banana split was delicious! Customer service was excellent t so a high five to the staff. If you want fancy this isn't the place. But if you want Value for money. Pay cheap and receive cheap this is the place.

No wonder there are some many reviews of this place, it is in the middle of everything, just in front of the Skytower and it is open 24h. As you enter, it resembles the 80’, the seating area is huge and with those old fashioned furniture, which is very fine and makes it a hit. The veggie burger comes along with some fries and it was gorgeous, worth the visit.

Go to place if your wanting to eat on the go and not make any fuss if you have a group of friends. Food is average, but still reccomend. Staff are always helpful aswell (well when I go) :)

Do not go to Denny's expecting it to be like the American Denny's, you will be very disappointed. In saying that the restaurant was clean enough, service felt a bit disorganised but the staff were friendly. The food was good, big serves. Just a shame it has not stuck to it's American origins...

Customer Service was great, Premium Burger was hot & tasty, the fries were cold which wasn't nice, Garlic bread was delicious better than other restaurants. The downside to this restaurant is that they don't pick up the food on the carpet underneath the cubicle table, it was quite disgusting..chocolate marks on the wall could have been wiped. A thorough clean of cubicle seating should be done everytime customers finish. The decor is old & tired, seating needs to be recovered. There were so many flat screen tv's in there, a missed marketing opportunity, music channel could be played like other Denny restaurants.I would come back again and see if i can better the star rating.

Nachoes (not the vegetarian ones) I've found the last two times are huge disappointments, would not recommend. The curly fries with aioli are always amazing! The music from the speakers was definitely too loud, having to loudly speak over the music rather than it being background noise, however the staff is usually quite lovely and accommodating. However i won't be going back as I found there to be gum under tables and not satisfied with the level of overall cleanliness

Tremendous place ! A friend of mine and me went there after work and were very pleased with the whole experience. The pictures on the menu is exactly what you get but the prices aren't the cheapest but also not too expensive. The salads and the hot fudge cake were especially tasty

We came here for breakfast on a Saturday. The service was excellent, restaurant area lovely and clean. This is part of a chain from the states but is a very good family restaurant. Food was generous sizing, nicely presented and was good to eat. Handy to sky tower...perfect place for a family to go for a meal.

And all night....🤪 No parking at the city Denny's but you sure can street parking where you find it and they have a lift that can take u up so wheelchair access is available. Their washroom needs a special mention CZ it smells good like all the time surprisingly!😂 Just a must visit place in Auckland!

Fantastic Service from Roshan Sitaula tonight - was waiting in the lobby for over half an hour and when brought up at the desk - Roshan provided efficient and immediate quality service. The food has yet to come but who really goes to Denny’s for it’s 5 star meals. Great and friendly service though.

Wide variety of items on the menu. I've tried a few different things which were all good but my favourite thing to get is the toasted cheese sandwich and the Oreo shake. Great and fast service. It's often not too busy except for Saturday evenings. The price is really good too.

Was something of decent home chef quality but for mid range prices I felt it to be priced steeply, however, the meal was good overall and had me full for a while unlike fast food alternatives. I did feel the French toast was too dry and could have used more egg. Overall, I would recommend for anyone wanting just a meal, nothing super fancy.

Our experience at this Denny's was MUCH better than any other Denny's in Auckland. The service was really fast. The manager working that night, Desmond was so helpful and accommodating in every way. He kept coming over to check everything was running smoothly. He also brought us water and topped up the cups when he saw there wasn't enough for all of us there. The food was fresh and hot and again service was great. Would recommend to friends!

Denny’s is an American Diner. They offer a great menu with a variety of dishes ranging from all-day breakfasts to roast dinners. Denny’s is a good place to dine on your own or with a small group. The customer service is generally excellent. Sometimes you might have to wait a little while. Depending on where you sit in the restaurant, there are some pretty good views. I highly recommend the Denny’s Hot Fudge Cake.

Look, it's great for a middle of the night feed, but I would never choose it as a restaurant of choice during normal restaurant hours. The food is what it is, the burger was big but dry, the tortilla salad was good. Oreo shakes are always a winner. The restaurant is hygienic. Staff could be faster, but were friendly. Its a true 3 star restaurant. No frills. I will be back again at 3am in the morning one day.

Meal was great, shame I couldn't say the same about the service, there were only 4 people in restaurant I followed a person in the girl took him to a table as he just walked on in. I decided to be polite and wait , she finished with him i stood there waiting, waiting, waiting thinking ok am I invisible. After seamed like 5 minutes she walked over to where I was standing got a menu from the draw "didn't even acknowledge me" placed the menu and cutlery on a table, I asked her are they for me ? And i got a node, I said thank you . Definitely more training required in customer service.

Honestly this isn’t a bad spot. It’s not the best but it’s not trying to be. The ice cream they use in their deserts is actually good quality so after a few I order a Bread & Butter pudding and French Slam. If your hungry don’t control how they come out, just go with it for the experience - desert first Hahaha. Good luck.

Visited on Sunday afternoon, around 1.30ish. Meal was fantastic, rendang curry. Beautiful flavours. Comes with either rice or Naan, and a small salad. My fellow diners (3 others) enjoyed their meals too...fish and chips, and burgers with curly fries. Everyone was very happy with their meals. We were seated quickly and orders were also taken quickly however the service was extremely slow, despite only a handful of diners in the restaurant. Overall a good visit though.

I love Dennys and we have been lots of times both in NZ and USA. Queen St Dennys always used to be one of my favourites but on our last visit, our food was cold. Chips literally felt like they had been sitting out for 30minutes and burger also cold. They didn't bring our drinks until after we had finished eating, despite telling them we were still waiting. No cutlery either - even after asking. Luckily we had burgers so just used our hands. We went on the Mon-Weds kids eat free. Asked about it when we we came in, got told yes its valid. When we went to leave, got charged full price then were told its a public holiday so doesn't count (even though it wasn't in their terms and conditions on their pamphlet). Overall not happy, staff weren't very friendly so will likely go to a different Dennys next time

I was really impressed with this place. Went in thinking it would be a bit like McD's but I was surprised to find it was more like a restaurant. I was amazed at the variety in choice of the menu - there was so much and so much looked good that I found it hard to make up my mind! The service was just excellent. People very quickly coming by to ask us what they could get us (and again during the meal if we wanted new drinks etc.). They were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The service for the food was speedy, and the food we got was of a much higher standard than I was expecting.

Great food! The shakes are great and so are the chicken wings, burgers, and pastas, as well as some great desserts. Great place to go for lunch with friends or family, although prices are little high, a good filling can cost $30 or up for one person. But it's definitely worth it for a good meal now and then.

4/5 - Large portions, good hearty food. We came here for breakfast before leaving Auckland. It was a weekday, so the place was relatively empty. The staff were nice, the food was decent. We shared 2 plates of food between 3 people and just managed to finish it. I'm a bit of a germaphobe, so found the sticky tables and drying watermarks on the cutlery a little off-putting. It was otherwise a nice dining experience.

Eggs were cooked well. Tomatoes we're barely warm. Balls of margarine came on the side of the pancakes which is bizarre and a bit gross, should definitely have been butter. Coffees we're very milky. I wouldn't go to Denny's again.

It's been almost 2 month since my last visit here, which I gave a poor rating. I must say this visit was extremely fantastic. The service of the staff was extremely higher than the last time I was here, so impressed with the improvement of your staff. And my order was an egg Benny with bacon, it was cooked perfectly. Ravi was the Manager he was so professional in his duties that it carried over to the staff so well done. Huge improvement thank you so much for a wonderful experience. Love the ease of just walking in, without having to book. Carpark situation is horrendous, but that's Auckland City for you. However, they do have their own underground one that was a bit of a mission in the van we were in. Friendly staff, fast service and food was actually good value for money. Drinks are good value for money too. Even better the birthday man of the day our Dad got to dine for free. Would recommend to all for a nice laid back family dine in. Clean facility, clean toilets.

The diner was filled with various groups of friends, workers taking dinner break, families and couples. The waitresses were quick to respond and serve. I ordered a lasagne and coffee based on reviews i read earlier and the food was delivered in 5mins. I was impressed with the service and my lasagne was served with a fresh salad accompanied by a dressing and garlic bread roll. The atmosphere was friendly and cool!

Absolutely top notch. Went into Denny's with lower expectations than my parents have of me. We were greeted warmly by staff and had excellent service throughout. Food was delicious and well presented. If my grades were more like Denny's, then I might be allowed back in my house. Bravo!

It's an OK place to fill up your tummy if you're hungry. Not a suitable place if you're celebrating something and you want a nice place. Food quality is average. One weird thing I noticed was that at the entrance they had photos of people who left and didn't pay for their food with the word shame on them. This made me feel quite weird because it destroyed the look and feel of the place.

Had lunch on christmas eve, i had the crackajack breakfast, mate 1 the french breakfast and mate 2 the sizzling chicken. All the meals were great and had good portions. The customer service was wonderful and ambiance good. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the decor at hobson st needs an uplift as it’s really dated.

I always forget how good denny's is. I'm telling you this place deserves another award. The hash browns are so fluffy and filling. The pancakes are classic and so perfect. Its an experience eating here. When you are just that hungry and need to replenish going here will solve all your morning woes.

We hopped in here one evening to have a meal. My partner had been to Denny's during his trips to the US and wanted to give this a try again. Must say, I am impressed to see a Denny's in Auckland. Since, there aren't any in Australia. Denny's is a quintessential American Diner with a rich history. It's open 24x7 and had a VAST menu. I ordered a Chicken Melt with a Chocolate Milkshake. My partner ordered the Meatlovers skillet with some Filter coffee. And BOY! The meals were more than filling. They do serve American size meals here too and it was amazing. Would go back again if I'm in Auckland just to try other items on the menu.

Standard Dennys but nowadays they are looking tired and old. Many light fixtures are damaged and hanging from the roof. The booth seats are cracked and ripped. No atmosphere as no music playing. The food is ok, but the prices don't project the budget diner that it once was. Staffing seems light and inexperienced. Overall just an ok experience.

Good place to go for a meal at any time of the day or night. The menu has a good range from burgers and sandwiches, to steaks and desserts avalible all the time. There are also all day breakfasts on the menu too. There is customer parking here, look for the signs and make sure you register your vehicle with the front desk.

Great service. Me and my friend were being pretty annoying and the lady serving us was being patient and nice. Also the food was great! Parking is incredibly difficult to find. Park far away and walk or catch an uber.

Good value for money and one of the few places you can get a feed 24/7 in Auckland. The entrance is on the Hobson Street side. Sometimes I grab a breakfast feed in the evening as bacon and eggs are sometimes what you need. Coffee is more American standard than a chic flat white from K Road.

Always love coming to Dennys, even though this branch can attract the drunks late at night. Great location on Hobson St so it's easy to catch an Uber nearby and is only a few minutes walk from SkyCity and other central locations. The service is quick and the food is half-decent but the staff didn't seem too keen to be there, but fair enough, I probably wouldn't want to be there in the still of a Friday or Saturday night either.

We've been coming here for a few years now as we have young children. It's a good experience for them each time and at least we get to feel like we're out at a restaurant. It's not the Ritz but it's good for a family with young kids.

Food was OK if what you want is a burger or similar. Prices are reasonable but the service was AWFUL. I sat with empty dishes on my table for a full half an hour waiting for someone to come and take a desert order. They have little bells pushes on the table that you're supposed to press if you need a waiter - pushed that four times, heard it ringing in the kitchen but still no service. In the end I gave up and left.
