Love this place the chef owner is super engaging even when he's busy! The pizzas are delicious omg and of course homemade and the pastries although they look simple are beautiful! Best to ring order through to avoid waiting there as can take a while.

Their pizzas are amazing, very authentic Italian and like nothing you can get anywhere else in Auckland. Their takeaway pastas are likewise absolutely delicious and satisfying. The owner chef is very friendly though looks sometimes overworked juggling his kitchen and the till, you can see pretty much the whole cooking area, including a cool looking pizza oven right in the open when you walk in. Also would strongly recommend their desserts.

Man this solace screams authentic family owned Pizzaria !! (Italian kiwis) From the second you enter the door and get very warm welcome the owner. My partner and I absolutely Rate this place as the best pizza in Auckland ..no joke,it’s the best! We live in Parnell and we still make the troop over every time we want a pizza and we are pizza lovers. I always try “Francesca’s choice” that’s my fav or the prawn pizza is 10/10 I hope you enjoy and you make your way over there! Also the white cheese gnocchi is the best iv ever had in my life!!!! That’s a must try. Hope this helps .

The pizza and dessert are to die for. Yum! We only ever go here for pizza, have taken multiple friends who are hooked too .. no one else comes close! Yup you have to wait for your pizza but that’s half the experience. Listening to the chef interacting with his staff and customers is an experience of its own. You will not leave this pizzeria without a smile on your face.

Amazing pizza in the true Italian pizza Napoli style. Churro(?sp) hand prepares the ingredients himself daily and is a master pizza maker having learnt in Naples where he grew up. If you love authentic Italian style pizza then Francesca's is the place for you - best we've had in Auckland. Small informal eat in area but you do feel part of the action and his able assistant Mia always has a story to tell. At peak hours expect to wait a while but hey in Italy you don't rush good food. If you really don't want to wait call ahead.

Really nice pizza. The wait time was disappointing. A good friend of the owner called ahead and pre-ordered- we were told 45 minutes. Got their in 55 minutes and our pizzas hadn't been started. We had to wait an additional 40 minutes.... This is the second time I've tried Francesca's. My rating will definitely change for the better of the timing could change for the better....

Nice pizza. Reminded me of the pizza I used to get in Rome as a child from the local Pizzeria. Would definitely recommend the classic Margherita or alla Toto. GF base options were available too.

Francesca's is a great pizza spot, and one of the very rare few that actually uses wood fire. Most others are a lie. The pizza is great. Made by a real italian dude, with real italian ingredients. So really good authenticity. The only reason I don't give it five stars is because the wait times are pretty ridiculous. Expect 1-2 hours wait after you've ordered. But in the meantime, have some of the freshly made desserts waiting to be eaten, or grab a pasta. It's much faster. Bring on the expansion!!

This place transports me straight to an authentic Italian Pizzeria in Italy. The smells, and character and the pizzas....without any doubt the closest thing you'll find in Auckland to a real Italian Pizza. Bravissimo!

Best pizza in NZ by far & generous ingredients. Quite entertaining to see the chef runs the "show". Being hectic and all.. WARNING : due to the long wait, dont go in a Bad Mood & dont expect good service during busy hours. worth the wait tho. Able to dine in & fast service on random late weekends.

The place is extremely charming — small, authentic looking wood burning stove, cheeky but entertaining staff But food doesn’t measure up. Ingredients seriously under cooked. And the crust is just not up to snuff. These people might know how to beat a global pandemic but sadly haven’t found them to be able to make a great pie. Maybe good for Auckland? But not good objectively. I can see the appeal on the charm factor but if you’re optimizing for taste you can do better in this city.

Great local place to eat or take away... pop across the road to the wine shop well you wait for your food. The Italian guy works really hard and has a great character. I've been going to this place for 3 years and never been dissatisfied.

Delicious! The best take-away pizza in Auckland!! Real Italian pizza at its best. The molten lava cakes are pretty incredible too. They can get quite busy, so even if you order by telephone you can expect quite a long wait.

Pizza is quite authentic (very thin base, cooked in real oven) but on Friday you may wait for an hour to get it cooked. There a few tables both inside and outdoors, so you may consider takeaway options. It's usually enough on street parking space around.

Really delicious pizzas and the sweet baking they have next to the cashier is really delicious. If you see these cookie like things with melted chocolate coming out of it buy one! Only one guy making pizzas which makes the wait on Friday night long (1-1.5 hours) so order early..

The best Italian pizzas one can ever wish for. Divine. There are only 2 small tables so most customers have it take away. Be ready to wait a while as Antonio's pizzas are very much in demand, however Antonio will make it up to you with his entertaining ways.

As everyone says Best woodfried pizza in the town. Also there is Wine shop called Point Chev Organic wines across the road who also sell craft beer and spirits. Both shops are deadly combination. Pizza and a wine what else you need??

Highly recommended. Best value for money! :) Most people do take aways but there's room to dine in to savour a fresh from the oven Quadro de fomaggio :) they serve the yummiest ravioli and gnocchi too! By far, the best pizza in AKL!

The best place on earth! The pizzaiolo (authentic Napoletan) makes pizza in front of you and you can taste straight away your delicious pizza when out of the wooden fire oven. Relaxing place, good chat and friendly environment. Viva l'italia!

I really love Primavera Pizza with eggplants and artichokes. That's the reason I come back. But the unnecessary long wait -up to an hour!- even when odered over the phone is nonsense. Chiro is a friendly cheeky Italian guy who really needs to vamp up his customer service or add another staff member or a good working orders processing system! Unless you want to chat and practice your Italian for an hour, come at 3pm or 9.30 pm :)
