I just love this place! I love that you are able to choose fresh ingredients, with your own selection of oils and spices, and have it prepared to perfection in front of you, served hot and fresh. I absolutely love love their seafood chowder and their soft garlic bread. It's so good. I could eat only that and be happy. There is a big selection of vegetables, which I really like. There's also a huge selection of different meats, which most people will appreciate. There is ready prepared food, and a good selection of salads. For dessert you can have hot cakes and ice cream. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and keep clearing the tables.

I actually really liked the food here, and the chef who cooked our food was ok to talk to, although I'm not sure he really appreciated me trying to yarn while he was trying to work. Great place to bring the kids. It wasn't busy at all either which is a great thing, But its did feel a bit deserted because the building is quite big. But all and it was a great place

I took a friend for lunch & it was a lovely atmosphere. The Staff were very helpful & walked me around explaining what to do & chef would cook it. Lunch was delicious & beautifully cooked. I would definitely go back for another meal 😋 Def 5 🌟 from me

Great place and good value for money. Only downside was the floor was slippery as hell! Everyone had to walk really carefully- not sure if it had just been polished but it was a massive health and safety issue in my opinion.

As we were looking for somewhere different, we just popped in there at 5:30 tonight. The all you can eat buffet seemed to be prepared for Covid-19 restrictions but most diners were not aware of it. No one tried gloves on before using tongs and kept distancing while waiting their food at the grill section. Moreover there were several gatherings. Absolutely we couldn’t feel safe at all. Though grill chefs were working so hard we got what we paid for.

My husband took me there for a celebratory birthday dinner. Upon entering we were met by a lovely young staff member. She was very friendly she actually took me and showed me what was on menu being my first time dining in and explained how one goes about getting their food they want to eat. When she told me that you could go up as many times as you like I said to her how much again did it cost? I was flabbergasted and on top of your side dishes and Main you get pancakes , ice-cream all you can eat. Your reading from a converted. Lovely assortment of meats, awesome selection of vegetables, nice selection of salads also hot side dishes as well oh and not for getting to hot pots of different soups, my fav the broccoli 🥦 soup but when the pumpkin is up just as good plus garlic bread. Went for lunch and it was quiet but soon became packed. There was one chef who was doing all the cooking and he did a fantastic job keeping up with all the orders for the hot food as well as doing the pancakes for dessert. Tables were cleared efficiently from the servers and the food was great. There was chicken, lamb, beef that were all delicious and there was also a smorgasbord of fried rice, fries, eggs, veges and the dessert you get pancakes and yummy I've cream. Will be back!

Decent all you can eat, especially if you like to eat a lot of stir fried meat. They also have yummy pancakes and ice cream and some sides like chips, salad, and soups. The venue isn't the nicest, it is quite dark lighting. However it is nice and spacious with plenty of room for a lot of people.

Level 2 obviously has impacts on all eateries/restaurants. I can imagine this place being full of people. When we went there, there were only a few tables filled. By few I mean 3, including us. The cooking area has also changed because of social distancing. The food was actually good. Portions are great, and good selection of flavours. The self serve area was I guess lacking in options maybe because of Level 2? All in all, Gengis is a nice place to have lunch/dinner. I would definitely come back again.

Great place to dine. Fed a family of 5, 2A, 2C, 1I, for under $100. Plenty of food choices, included garlic bread, salads, dessert, fruit and jelly. Drinks extra, but included in the above price. Something for everyone ages 1 year plus. High chairs provided. Jugs of water available. Parking could be problematic when the area/surrounding shops are busy as it is a shared area. Did not use bathroom facilities while there so cannot comment on that. Receptionist was kind. Payment for food is paid upfront. Drinks are ordered and paid for separately.

It is very spacious and like any other Korean BBQ places the food is cooked right before your eyes. It also runs two separate special family party's etc while still serving the public outsiders. Also for those who like Gaming Lounges there's a few slot machines and also a outdoor smoking area.

Had dinner there last night. Food was fabulous. Lady on the front counter fabulous. Guys doing the cooking need to smile and converse with the patrons a lot better than they do. Said good evening to the first guy cooking and he totally ignored me. Then instead of asking me to move along the counter he just done hand motions like I was suppose to know what he was talking about. He spoilt my night out. 5 stars for the food no.stars for the cooks.

New favourite! We loved the food: a great combo of spices, meat and veggies that you can mix and match on your own to be sauteed by the cooks minding the huge circular plate. I think the spices and sauces simply clicked with my Southeast Asian taste buds. The side dishes of fried rice and noodles were great too. The interior was arranged like a foodcourt, though. Not too aesthetically pleasing but with the great BBQ, I'll simply ignore it and focus on pacing my table and the lovely BBQ stand.

I attended my aunties 70th birthday here so it was a big group of us. They had reserved our table seating for us and it was good well organized. I was surprised on how big the place was and spacious lots of room to move around comfortabley. The staff were friendly and helpful to our needs. It is an A grade establishment The food was tasty and satisfying for me. The sides and soups were fantastic lots of healthy veges for me😀 It is wheelchair accessible and wheelchair access High chairs for the little ones also. I reccomend this place and will be returning.

Another great branch of Gengis Khan. Im never disappointed from this establishment and always come out satisfied and happy with my meal. Its really great being able to select your own meats and oils and seeing the skilled chefs prepare for you. The meat is always well cooked and always tasty. The restaurant is large and you can book tables ahead for large groups. Plenty of parking as well in the off street lot outside.

You can choose from a great variety of meats , sauces , flavoured oils and condiments which the chiefs will cook up on a giant barbeque while you watch . Very happy with this visit. This place gets busy so reservations are highly encouraged. They have both pain and seasoned types of each meat. You can load up your bowl as many times as you like so feel free to experiment with smaller portions to find your perfect recipe. I did seasoned beef with rice noodles, kale, mushrooms, scallions, and broccoli with the Ghengis Khan special sauce. Yum yum! The second trip was plain chicken, kale, broccoli, and pineapple with teriyaki and sweet and sour sauce. Sooooo gooood! There are a few other side items on the buffet including noodle salad (tasty) potato salad (meh), fried rice, soups, breads, pudding, and for dessert ice cream and pancakes. No more spendy than any other night out in NZ so overall a great experience. Key note: Don't visit a Mongolian BBQ if you have any type of food allergy or special dining preference (e.g. no pork, no beef, vegan, etc). It is quite literally impossible to accommodate in this environment.

Dessert options are also available (although somewhat limited). All things considered, the food is decent and for good eaters, the price is probably justified. Unfortunately, I always undereat at buffets, which made it feel a bit pricey for what it was. The interior is rather basic and not particularly charming. The hygiene rating is B. The chefs who cook your food looked like they were tempted to poison it; really must hate their job. Baby chairs are available.
