This is a gem in Half Moon Bay. The menu is extensive, everything we ordered is yummy. Good service but the restaurant is quite busy so be prepare to wait a bit for the food. The breakfast menu is different from the lunch menu. The view of the marina is a bonus. Outside seating is also available. The stand out dish is the french toast. Highly recommended to visit.

There are no word to explain how great their service was. What started out as a casual birthday dinner turned into one hell of a night. Thank you to the Grangers Team and the pleasant off-tuned birthday singing. Food was amazing as well!!!!!

Had lunch here on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Glad we made a booking because it was packed. Food didn’t take too long to come out considering how busy they were. Although took awhile to get the attention of our waitress, she was lovely. We had bluff oysters which was so fresh and melt in your mouth, the harissa chicken and seafood risotto with market fish was yummy with the fish cooked to perfection, wasn’t a fan of the bang bang prawns. Kids had a cheeseburger kids meal which consists of 2 cheeseburger sliders and fries. For dessert we had the kandyan pudding and kids had an ice cream sundae. Pudding was yummy but the ice cream sundae was just ok. Love the vibe and the views of this place. Not our first time here and definitely not our last. They have colouring sheets and pencils for the kids as well as high chairs. No change table. But parking is near by so not too bad to change a baby in the car if you need to.

Feb 22, the squid was lovely recommend to anyone the market fish was very bland, tasteless like it had been soaking water. The waitress could have been a bit more onto it with table water and asking for dessert. Great company order

Great location, amazing staff, but it really depends on what you order here. My husband had the gnocchi and it was amazing, I ordered the superfood salad which sounded amazing but it was really an almost empty plate of nothing special. If you remove the "green goddess dressing" dish in the middle of the plate in the photo you'll see how much of a salad you get. I do however appreciate that I had the option of removing the dressing.

Nice restaurant with some designer's feel in it. The managers are welcoming and friendly, whilst the waitresses might need some more training when serving food onto the table. Toilets are nice and clean, the portion of the meals are just right size. Price for value is okay, and can use entertainment card up to $35. Nice location in Half Moon Bay, lots of people comes here on a sunny day. Definitely a good place for relaxation and have a good time.

very nice food. pork ribs the best i have had in a very long time. very little fat. meat soft and falls off the bone. marinade excellent. I would be happy to have them again. The only downside is the portion size could be a bit larger. 5 ribs total leaves you wanting a few more. burgers excellent with thick meaty patty, cheese, lettuce, bacon etc. Pulled pork bbq bun deliciousness. Daughter would not share last bit she saved for lunch tomorrow! staff were very friendly. needed reminder to bring finger bowls for ribs and quick to remedy omission.

Fabulous food and even better service! On Sunday June 13th, we arrived for a brunch date with old friends. Because of such an epic catch up, we missed two ferries back and ended up having dinner at 6pm as well. Knowing we had to catch the last ferry, the lovely staff sped our food order through without us feeling rushed. They were all super friendly and the food and drinks were absolutely beautiful. I fully recommend the amazing French toast and breakfast martini!

A favourite to visit, the food is always delicious, the service fast and friendly. We love that this is a kid friendly restaurant and our 2 year old loves the food too! We love the cocktails too which always seem to go down a treat! Highly recommend the bang bang prawns!!

Omg !! Yummy!! 1st time here wont be the last 😁😉 service awesome food awesome location awesome!! I was lucky enough to be one of the 1st to try the new menu....it had me stumped for 10 mins trying to decide from all the delicious choices... in the end settling on spicy chicken wings and the pork hock.... I had one complaint (but by all means a good one 😉)... the entree was too big lol super generous portion of wings I had to stop and save a few for later so I could fit my main in... and out came the pork hock.... wow if I could fit it in I would have ordered another 1!! I have been to Grangers 3 times travelling from the other side of the city and had a wonderful time on all three occasions. Great food, lovely stuff, stunning view, great atmosphere. Love their selection of wines, and the gins are delectable. Really recommend for special occasions

Great food and ambiance with neat friendly staff. We went with the four of us and all had something different, drinks and desert and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, the service was great. With the kitchen and all the chefs and helpers open to the restaurant really adds to the atmosphere, then also overlooking the marina with its beautiful boats, fantastic. Great area for a walk after dinner as well, very pleasant.

Have been twice in the last week and found the first experience really good as the waitress asked if we would like our food all at once, Last night we went back with 2 friends and ordered small plates for entrees and large plates for mains. We were shocked when 8 plates of food arrived on our table all at once. When we queried it with another waitress she said off handedly that this is the way it is done and we have to let our waitress know if we don't want the food all at once. I could not find any mention of this on the menu so how were we to know. The waitress who served us was friendly and understanding but the other one was rude and kept bossing our waitress around. Last time we were there Miss Bossy was training another waitress and was all smiles and nice to us at the table- but as she left I heard her instructing the other girl that its pays to act nice to customers-she is not a good example to be working for you.

Went on a Friday night around 8pm and the place was absolutely packed. We got the last seats in the whole place. Bit of a wait and seemed like the didn't have enough servers that night. Once it got to the food, it was absolutely stunning. I had the lobster and prawn seafood roll and my partner got the seafood chowder. It was such a big meal too we had to take out. Beautiful location and will definitely be back soon.

The food and drinks are always really good, and this review would have been 5 stars of it wasn't for the frustration we recently experienced trying to book a luck table for 7 for Sunday lunch. We tried to book the day before, but they wouldn't accept our booking, because "Sundays are always quiet". When we requested a table for 7 on arrival, we were asked if we had booked "as the restaurant is very busy" (!), then told there was a 40min wait for food (which turned out to be well over an hour). Being able to book, and a better estimate of the actual wait time, would have made it a more pleasant experience.

We have been there, a few times, before and have seen them use primarily frozen fish ( We were told that they do, as well) and have had the same experience. Attended Grangers today for lunch at around 1300pm. Greeted with a warm welcome, and picked were we could sit. The atmosphere is beautiful suited for hire for events, baby shower, birthdays as it opens out to the port with a view of boats moored on the water! My partner got beef burger that was chunky he says he wont be having dinner tonight so that covers his appetite for today. I got a buddha salad. I wasnt full like my bf but i felt good i chose this as a meal. I would like to come back in the evening for dinner. Till next time :)

Food is good, service was civil. We had the seafood platter which had a bit of everything from mussels to battered fish to fresh oysters from Waiheke apparently. My favourite was the grilled prawns. We also had potato poutine, which came with a topping of cheese and gravy on the side. The restaurant was really pretty and had a nice marina view. Good stop before or after your ferry ride to Waiheke.

UPDATED 2025: Still the same. Crap food, slow service. Not worth the price. No wonder it went into receivership.. Everything about this place is just alright.
