J.I had no background about this place until I randomly chose a place to have dinner around that area. Turns out to have a very nice customer service, interior, atmosphere, food, representation, portion… loved more than I expected. I had Katsu chicken and Sasimi Don. Would like to come back again.

S.Shhhhhhhhh. Don't tell too many people otherwise I might not get a seat here. We are super stoked to have such an amazing local restaurant. The food here is really good. Far better than a little Japanese in Rothesay Bay would normally be. We especially love the Ugly Karaage Chicken but everything we have had has been excellent.
On our last visit we had the dinner set and my oh my. So much food! At $50 per head it might not be a normal mid-week option but it was so worth it.
Our son really loves the inside out Salmon maki and this is a winner also. The wasabi is very good quality which lifts the sushi offering.
The wine list is well chosen. There is Asahi on tap. The staff, especially the young female owner (I think she is anyway??) are personable, warm and knowledgeable.
There is so much to like. And it's my local. Yay!

N.The service and food at Ichigo Ichie is just wonderful. The food and drinks menu are both quality. The dishes we had were soooo good. I can't believe we have been missing out all this time as it's taken us this long to find what is in our own backyard. I would recommend to all.

Drink and cocktails were really tasty and service was also excellent. Thanks so much for a lovely romantic evening with wonderful music to set the mood.

K.(Translated) Ichigo Ichie opened in 2020 two years ago. Thank you very much for your hard work during the difficult time of the year when we were able to operate practically due to the influence of Corona.
When I visited for the first time, the staff were very friendly and the customer service was wonderful and not ashamed of the once-in-a-lifetime meeting “once-in-a-lifetime meeting” which is the name of the store.
All the dishes were arranged neatly, and the freshness was good and the taste was not bad. It may have happened, but I was surprised that the lotus root chips were freshly fried. I was impressed because there was no store that served freshly fried lotus root chips. All the dishes were beautiful with petals, southern leaves, and bean sprouts, and I immediately realized that the chef had a good taste. Not only making Japanese food normally, but also gyoza dumplings and cauliflower tempura with gochujang, sashimi bowl with sesame oil and Korean-style arrangements were wonderful.
I had a very good time. Thank you very much. I think the influence of Corona is still tough, but please do your best 👍

2年前の2020年にオープンしたIchigo Ichie。コロナの影響で実質的に営業出来ているの1年で大変な時期に本当にご苦労様です。
初めてお伺いしましたが、スタッフはとてもフレンドリーで店の名前である一期一会“once-in-a-lifetime meeting”に恥じない素晴らしい接客でした。
料理もどれも綺麗に盛り付けられ、鮮度も良く味も悪く無かったです。たまたまだったのかもしれませんがレンコンチップスが揚げたてだったのは驚きました。今まで揚げたてのレンコンチップスを出してきた店は無かったので感動しました。どの料理も花びらや南天の葉、豆苗などが添えられ見た目にも美しく、シェフのセンスが良い事が直ぐにわかりました。普通に日本食を作るだけでは無く、餃子のツケダレとカリフラワーの天ぷらにコチュジャン、刺身丼にゴマ油と韓国風アレンジも効いて素晴らしかったです♪
とても良い時間が過ごせました。ありがとうございました。まだまだコロナの影響が大変だと思いますが頑張ってください👍
