This Afghan restaurant is a real gem. The food and service is impeccable with some very interesting dishes as well as some traditional desserts as well. We go here almost religiously now. Price is also very affordable for what you are getting. The roast chicken and lamb kebab, is highly recommended.

Huge family portions so just be aware of ordering too much. It was really yummy, but the sauces were less. Pretty expensive. I ordered take away. and the 3 kabab are extra ordered separate on the picture because kebabs are pretty small and light.

Visited them to try some good afghani food. So, i bought combination kebab (kebab meals). Taste was really good but kebab was too small, sauces were too less not even half of that small box. It's expensive. They serve halal.

My family and I are regular customers here. Small and cosy restaurant with great service. I would highly recommend it if you want to experience delicious traditional Kabul food at good prices. We usually order the family of 5 platter which comes with more than enough food for everyone. Highly recommended.

Visited this lovely out of the way restaurant this week 6 adults 2 kids had a great time. Mango lassi best every. Meals exactly as shown on menu and all were faultless. We were given a warm friendly greeting and service was spot in. Hope to get back there soon. Meals are huge. Meats were tender and succulent. Salad just perfect. My whole half chicken was crisp in outside and tender inside. Meals service on large plastic trays which looked very inviting. Clean we'll presented restaurant. Helpful fast service much appreciated.

Highly recommended! Food is very tasty with authentic flavours. We will call for reservations next time, the crew were a bit gobsmacked with 20+ people turned up yesterday. We will definitely come back! Thanks to the welcoming crew and for accommodating my big whanau yesterday.

Such a wonderful restaurant. Food was amazing, so so flavourful. We all commented on the rice and turns out they sell bags! Definitely coming back. Had both the dumplings (beef and vege) excellent. The banjan borani (eggplant dish), lamb tikka and half grilled chicken were all outstanding. and the firni (semolina custard) was so delicious. Yum

Tried this place on Uber recently and it was fantastic. Highly impressive food and juice meats. Afghan cuisine is very typical of the delicious flavors you find along the Silk Road. Next time, I’ll be sure to try it in house.

What a great new eatery. Absolutely delicious Afghani good. The owner is a really nice soft spoken gentleman. The prices are pretty fair too. Room for improvement in service though, hence the four stars.

A new addition to the Auckland food scene, these guys are compliment existing options in the Tulja Centre really well. Overall this was authentic cuisine in totally unpretentious surroundings. Excellent service and explanations of the dishes on offer, a couple of good vegetarian options also. Flavour in these charcoal kebabs leave the so-called 'Turkish' kebabs for dead. Mains range around $15-20.

The meal for 4 was absolutely delicious! It was worth the bucks. The interior could be more cozy, though. There is a large jumbo sitting bed at the corner, which relates to the Afghan culture, but the rest of the restaurant is stark and not homely.

All the things I love about Afghani food - the flavourful simplicity, the fluffy buttery rice, the generous portions, the delicious naans and the lovely simple olive salads, and affordable prices - are spot on here at Kabul House. Our new favourite eatery in the whole of Auckland - unassuming location but, like Eden Noodles etc, the food is the hero. The owners are very friendly too. Well done!

Some foods are delicious, dont order butter chicken perhaps they dont know how to cook butter chicken, kabeb nan and rice are awesome. Not enough space to settle if few families comes together. Not enough staff.

This place has amazing food, it had genuine Afghan food and it was delicious, my whole group of friends always wanted Afghan food and this place hit the spot for all of us. We had the family pack which feeds 5 people with the chicken, lamb and minced lamb skewers too and also ordered the mantu which is a dish that's above and beyond, we fed 7 people with these two orders. To finish it off we ordered green tea as needed in the Afghan culture after eating the meals. Next on the list will be the qaboli palaw. The had proper indoor seating setup and also a place to sit on the raised floor with traditional Afghan carpet and seating. Suitable for families too. Definitely going again #thisisfaroq

An amazing gem of a place. Family run business, the patrons of this eatery are from Afghanistan and share their beautiful food and culture with the diners. Warm and hospitable, you will always leave the restaurant with a smile, I did :-). I had the Qabuly pulao (yum), by the skewer-mince seekh kabab, chicken tikka and lamb kabab and was immediately transported to food heaven. The food is simple, not at all spicy but the flavour, it is brimming with flavour that I just wanted to eat and not speak with anyone at the table, it is that good. I think they are competitively priced for the quality of food offered. Portions servings are big, so if you have a small appetite avoid ordering too much as the food, this in turn saves food wastage. They also have a flat platform style seating with a rug (traditional style) for the more adventurous type. Will I go again? Absolutely YES!! Support a local business.

Visited this place today and have to say the food was really good. We were really happy with the meal and spent around $100. But the last part of the meal totally ruined our experience. The lady at the restaurant at refused to give us more than 2 takeaway containers and said the container was too expensive. We had enough leftovers for atleast 3 containers. When I went and asked her again she tried to say the same thing and then offered to pack it for us and gave us a packet to put our naans in. While the food was good, customer service ruined the experience. The person who served us was good.

Food is tasty and delivers authentic Afghani bukhary rice taste while prices are reasonable. You may order by phone or online during level 3 but don't have delivery yet so you will have to pick it up yourself. Tried the chicken tikka, mixed skewers, and naan bread. Highly recommended!

Its a hit and a miss. Tasty food but not worth the price. Sometimes you end up having a lot of rice and not enough meat. It will be great to serve with hummus.

Great place to eat. Food is always good. However, only disappointing thing is that the place is so small and gets crowded waaaay too quickly. We ordered seconds, however due to the amount of customers we decided to have it as takeaway. Even that took over 45 mins to get ready. People are waiting for tables so either book in advance or be prepared to wait.

Delicious Aushak Veg dumpliings, eggplant dish and chicken and lamb kebabs on very good long grain rice. Highly recommend. We've had takeaways and dined in and both experiences were excellent. The food tastes very fresh and home-cooked, with great seasoning combos. Good vege options.

Came here after a recommendation by a guy I know. The food was relatively inexpensive and high quality. The place is clean and the staff are friendly. I didn't deduct a star but it would be good if they clear the tables a bit quicker would be my only negative point. My kids and wife and I enjoyed the food and will return again.

Amazing Afghan food, nice big portions, welcoming staff. The only down side, it is a bit busy on weekend nights. If you went there, make sure you try their yoghurt drink (dough), it's delicious! And I don't recommend the family packs as they might be inconsistent with the menu claim!

The food was really delicious but not happy with the salad and sauces the salad which is in the menu what they gave is total different they put lemon green cabbage. N the just 1tsp sauce in containers. Really disappointed 😞

Amazing food, amazing portions, amazing service. Went here with the family tonight and not one of us had anything to point our finger towards that wasn’t great. We got the family meal to feed 3 people and ended up taking home the half a chicken and rice. We where 4 adults. Will be back for sure.

Food is excelent and delicious the place is simple and cosy but dont go on friday evening specially late.. it get so busy and you might have to wait for table and wait for food . Last time we went there ( 8 people )it took more then a hour to got the food and it was cold ( its kabeb so it teast better when its hot ) they need to get more staff for busy time. but If you dont mind that and want to taste great authentic Afgan food then this is a must try ...
