Delicious and affordable food. But service was not great, lady in the front was kinda rude (maybe it’s the way she talks or i don’t know), she did not give us the complimentary tea but other customers had it. I was shocked that the pork bbq was put in the microwave to reheat it (first time I saw it in person, idk if this applies to other restaurants)

A very basic looking Chinese cafe but with a good selection of BBQ meats in the window. The menu is good. It's not massive but lists a variety of dishes not found in most suburban places. Service is basic but efficient. The food itself is flavoursome and nicely cooked. Not a lot of meat in the meat dishes but, then again, they seem to be reasonable cuts. Veggies are fresh and, unlike a lot of places on the Shore, neither enormous near-raw nor soggy messes. The restaurant, itself, isn't the kind of place you would seek out for dining in, but there are a few tables. Still, basically a takeaway. So, it's rather curious that they don't provide bags. Be warned: take your own bag of find yourself juggling a pile of boxes. A couple of other slightly stingy points: no dipping sauce with dumplings (really?!). And I still can't get used to the NZ expectation that you pay for steamed rice, no matter how much you buy. Not expensive to buy but it seems a bit mean. All up, in context of pretty poor suburban Chinese restaurants, this is probably a good choice for takeaway Chinese. But if there any amazing little gems around the area I'd love to know.

Highly recommend! Have eaten here a few times and really enjoy the food, so tasty and flavour filled! Staff are lovely and attentive, we sat down and within 2 minutes had a steaming teapot of tea to sip. We had crispy pork belly noodle soup and beef brisket on rice. The noodle soup was especially delicious and a welcome meal for me as I was craving a good broth from my travels around south east Asia, hit the spot! :)

Extensive menu. Love a duck does great duck, but their stir fry was great too. Don't judge the place on the looks, food was amazing and staff very friendly.

Our go to. Grumpy service. Excellent Chinese bbq & other items. Reasonable value

Went on Queens Birthday Monday and the usual staff were off, so there were only two people working. You'd expect major delays as a result but food came out as delicious as always and on time. Well done team! You're a winner every time.
Highly recommend the braised eggplant. It's my fave!
