Incredible! What a unique little eatery in Rosedale.
I tried both a savoury and a sweet pancake; ham & cheese, and cinnamon & brown sugar. Both were equally as tasty as one another and clearly made with decent ingredients.
I highly recommend giving this place a go, it’s one of those eateries that once you hear about it and give it a go it becomes an addiction and a place you eagerly want to pass onto others to try.
Extremely friendly customer service from whom I presume are the owners. Must support these little gems.

I went to no1 pancake today and ordered the pineapple, ham and cheese. The last time I went was over ten years ago when I was a student in the city. I highly recommend this place. Owners are still nice, passionate.

New neat location, which is nice and quiet. Super friendly owners and excellent service. The pancakes are fantastic they are certainly the best I've had. Flavoursome and a good amount of options at a decent price.

Freshly made Korean pancakes. The cheese and potato, red bean were delicious! The wait is quite long (10-15mins) as they only cook it as per order ! So it’s not a grab and go lunch/snack if you’re crunch on time. Otherwise yum. Unfortunately they are closing this location and moving to rosedale/ Albany!

Can't beat the pancakes from No.1! My personal favourite is the red bean with cheese - simply divine! Also I'm chuffed that you're now on the North Shore.

No matter where they move to, I will come visit. They were a super popular spot in the CBD for a good reason, and whilst they moved up to the north shore, don't let this be a reason not to come. Whether you're looking for something savoury like beef & cheese and ham & cheese/pineapple or you want the classic cinnamon and sugar hotteoks and their other bean or seed ones, you'll be in for a treat. Buy 2 and leave plenty full. Come support them so they can grow!

Great place! Very tasty pancakes!

I visited them when they were in town, but now that they're closer I'll be going more often. The potato and cheese is the best savory one and the red bean is the BEST sweet one. They're also incredibly friendly. Definitely recommend this place. I know I'll be back.

Great snack for a great price. First time trying Korean style pancakes and we opted for the Cheese and Beef, and Cheese and potato. Both were great and ready within a few minutes. Interesting to watch how they make and cook them in front of you too.

Finally had a chance to try the No. 1 Pancake. We love the mung bean pancake that we had in South Korea, so happy to find one in Auckland. We ordered the beef and cheese. Tasted great. Priced at 6$.
