Great little gem in PT Chev, great decor and set up. Espresso martini was yummy (though bit sweet for my liking) Had to try Jackfruit Burger 🍔 as I’ve heard about it (mixed review) Should have stuck with original order which was the cured salmon. Though in saying that it’s not a bad burger at all. I just would have preferred meat/fish. Our slow cooked lamb was juicy and tender! Slightly under seasoned but so tender ! Would definitely try again and give it another chance. Our waitress was super friendly

We came for lunch on a Thursday during the holidays. Plenty of space and tables to choose from. Had an absolutely delicious vegan bowl. Especially loved the garlic hummus and al dente brocollini. The wrap was soft and yummy. The vegetables were fresh and everything worked really well together. I also had the vegan orange cake. It was soft yet dense, yummy and filling. My daughter ordered the chicken wrap and curly fries. She enjoyed the hint of lemon juice on the wrap as it gave a refreshing lightness to the dish. The curly fries were perfectly crispy. Her hot chocolate had a light and fluffy foam on top, with a chocolate drink which isn't too sweet. NB: She had soy milk. My brother had the Hangover Breaky. He said it was really nice and filling. His Afghan cookie was yummy as well. Would definitely recommend. Excellent friendly customer service, layout, decor and choice of music.

Such a great little spot! Food was fantastic and service was even better. I was served by Grace and have to say it was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. She was incredibly attentive and friendly and stayed incredibly patient with all of the requests our family made. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who needs a nice relaxing night out.

I notice this restaurant on Google Maps. And many interesting reviews attract me. As a foreigner, the menu is too hard to understand. For example, I don't know what Dips & Grit is, even after eating it and it really tastes good. SUPREMA is a huge pizza even though we chose a small size. Yummy! The taste of music is soooo excellent.

We went at a busy time (Friday evening) and there was a long wait time due to a high volume of uber eats orders however the lovely waitress we had let us know this and bought over truffle chips to tide us over. The pizzas were good and the beef short rib main had great flavours. The space itself is beautiful with lovely wooden beam ceilings and an enormous pizza oven.

One of the BEST meals I had in New Zealand! The calamari and smoked salmon pizza bread were fabulous starters! I had the lamb salad as my main course and my husband had the roasted lamb, both were absolutely delicious. The flavors are so fantastic at this place!

Excellent pizza!! Really cool space, nice temperature, lots of room, comfortable seats. We went on a busy Saturday evening and staff were attentive but not in your fave. We had a few sharing plates (chicken, fritters, calamari) all excellent. Lots of care taken to balance flavours and tasty complimentary sauces. Looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu!

Thanks to the Nomad team for saving our Mother's Day lunch! After our booking down the road went pear-shaped, we were lucky enough to get a last minute table at Nomad. The service was great, the food was delicious and portions were really generous. The staff were incredibly accommodating and didn't bat an eyelid when we rearranged furniture to fit a highchair. We'll definitely be coming back :)

Fabulous food, great service and nice and warm sitting near the pizza oven on a cold evening. Samadi couldn't take our 6. But Nomad was very accommodating and a great surprise, they will definitely be our first choice next time. Their lamb shoulder was sumptuous, so tender and tasty. A wee trip down memory lane with the Brandy Alexander for one of our group. Hmm maybe they will have a Grasshopper next time! :-)

Thanks for a great night, food was outstanding. We had the lamb ribs and fish of the day, both excellent. Very busy Friday night and the wait staff were literally sprinting to manage the floor but our kind server kept us posted on where our meals were in the queue. All with a smile. Bought a coupon from grabon for a sunday brunch and it did turn out to be amazing, wonderfully brewed coffee, followed by vegan bowl and an orange cake. Could smell the freshness from the bowl, i wish they did more vegetarian options but a thumbs up for courteous staff and food. Definite must visit for a sunday brunch thing.

Love the local vibe and service at Nomad. Have eaten here a number of times and the meals are well designed, well priced and flavoursome. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a smile. Always a good start. The place had a great atmosphere. There was a family there as well and they seemed happy with what they had. Our food...was amazing. The taste of sweet mixed with savory with hints of spice....perfect. the staff were very attentive. Would definitly book here again. The only thing id suggest. If you have lots of customers asking for alcohol removed wine or 0%beer... might pay to hold some. I drove from south auckland so i dont want to drink and drive. And ordering a coke with a nice meal...meh

I don't give 5 stars out lightly. This place is pretty good - food is tasty and good portions. Drinks and staff are good too. Only problem I ever had was lack of gluten free bases for friends to be able to also eat pizza.. They sent one of the boys to the supermarket and got some within 10min. They don't get 5 stars because I believe they could do better in terms of consistency in terms of staff knowledge of food/drinks - but they are pretty amazing besides that.

A busy, family friendly restaurant and bar with a great atmosphere. The wait staff are very attentive. I ordered a small Moroccan pizza. I have to say it was one of the best pizza's I have ever had.

A very large space with a high ceiling (a mezzanine floor occupies part), but more inviting than this suggests. Plenty of seating - tables that can be reserved, and high tables and chairs for more casual dining. A good menu with lots of options. Friendly staff, prompt service. We went for the live music which was a definite bonus, but don't know how often this happens.

Really reluctant to write this review as I don’t want this place to become so popular and cool to be seen at that it manifests itself into something completely different than it is now, as I’ve seen happen to other suburban establishments but this place really deserves a five star rating. What was initially just going to be just us trying something different for a change has turned into our go-to local for all things from a simple couple of drinks after work to the venue of choice for a colleagues retirement function. We’ve been coming here for about 2 years and I cant recall any criticisms being made about this place by any of the people I’ve been with. The staff have always been warm, friendly and accommodating, nothing has ever seemed to be too big an ask of them. Food coming out of the kitchen is modern, fresh and yummy and we’ve enjoyed the convenience of both the indoor, outdoor and private upstairs area of this venue. Thanks for taking such good care of us Nomad!

A quality venue in a slightly tired area. Since opening Nomad has never failed to deliver a great experience. The pizza is outstanding, as is everything we've tried from the menu. The kids menu brings great smiles. There is a fine selection of beers on tap, some nice craft beers on the fridge and a fine wine list. Something for everyone. A top venue for date night, groups or just a quick catch up with friends. You can book a separate upstairs group area, get cosy by the fire or relax outside in the evening sun. Location wise, Nomad stands out in spite of its surrounds. The council seems to have finally finished upgrading the area outside Nomad. I am hopeful the area will complement this local icon.

Decided to check out the local after hearing good things about the place. We went on a Sunday, there was a DJ and the food was fantastic! Plenty of room if you have groups and is also dog-friendly (outside - but had heaters so was nice and toasty).

I stopped in here for dessert after dinner one Friday night and I am SO glad I did. I ordered the Chocolate & Coconut Filo Cigars. It was AMAZING. Big enough for two ladies to share or enough for one if you have a sweet tooth. So many delicious flavors. Topped dehydrated mandarin and raspberry and good macarons. It is days later & I am still thinking about how yum it was, hence this review. Yum, yum, YUM. Will come to eat this alone again.

Been here a few times and it's usually quite nice but tonight not so. Great space made totally underwhelming by unattentive, awkward service. Despite being a quiet Monday the foh staff were slow and food was undercooked. Would have told them if they had asked instead of writing a review online, but no one asked how our meals were or followed up at all. Staff seemed bored and untrained in customer service.

Nice bar and restaurant. Pizza was delicious (and enormous) and the bits and dips (a Mediterranean smorgasbord) was equally as good. Came here on a rainy day, so it was a bit on the empty side, but I imagine the atmosphere to be enjoyable during a happy hour or busy dinner time. My review of nomad is of a good one. As the place suggests it’s famous for its pizzas and as per my prediction it was very good pizzas indeed. What had particularly made me input 5 stars to a 4 was due to the boost of the atmosphere of the dining. The dining experience was aided a lot to he wonderful waitress who had served us, Leo I believe her name was, short Caucasian lady with glasses had been very lovely and served extremely well. The let down to the experience was only my fries. I am a person to not overload it with Parmesan and truffle a simpler approach to the fires could have been ideal (just my personal preference). But the starter of the pizza bread and the mains of the pizza was excellent as I predicted. Thanks again and wish to dine in the near future.

Loved this place! We went for a beer and a pizza early evening. A few diners in. Our waitress was awesome. She was knowledgeable on the drinks list and food menu, swapped around our pizza ingredients etc. We had a half half pizza - Cappricciosa and Quattro Carne and it was so good! Tiramisu is pretty tasty too. Hopefully get to go back here again.

I held my 40th birthday party at Nomad on Friday night and the evening couldn't have gone better. I must admit I was a little nervous holding the event at a venue that hadn't been open for long and was a little outside the centre of town. However all my concerns were put to rest once myself and guests (a party of around 40 people) arrived. We had the mezzanine floor for our party and it was a perfect ambience; a dimly lit private area high above the rest of the restaurant where you could observe the pizza kitchen, people watch, and listen to the live music below. The private upstairs bar is also a great addition which (fortunately/unfortunately) made it very easy to order that next drink! The service was amazing. Before the event Amanda helped me organise the event down to the finest detail, and on the night everything was executed almost perfectly. The floor staff were very attentive, professional, and humorous; especially "Coco" who looked after us very well all night. The live music downstairs was also great. It's something that Ragu (previous name of this venue) didn't have and I think it's a great addition to this modernised look and feel of Nomad. Live music adds a great vibe to a venue, especially for a function event. The "icing on the cake" for me and my guests however was the food and beverages. With Amanda and the head chef I worked through selecting a menu ranging from carnivore and vegetarian canapés, tapas, pizzas, and cheeses for the party, and every single one of them was fantastic. The crowd favourite however was definitely the Chicken Quesadillas. Wow. The wine and beer selection is well curated and my guests seemed to have no problem sampling the various house options many times over. The evening wasn't completely perfect, however any issues we did have with the night were minor and logistical only; to be expected considering it was probably the first, or one of the first, functions they have held in the restaurant since opening their doors a few months ago. The good by far outweighed the minor niggles. All in all Nomad is a fantastic function venue with a great ambience, fantastic service, and food and wine to die for. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to others for a similar event. Nomad is a welcome addition to Point Chevalier. I only hope the landlords of the Pt Chev. Arcade invest in an upgrade soon to bring the surrounding area up to the high standard they have set. Thank you to Amanda and all the Nomad team for making my night a huge success.

Slow, like really slow. Took 20mins before we even got asked if we wanted a drink. Food was average. Wish we hadn't ordered the buffalo chicken, it wasn't good. Ordered the nomad trio and the lamb was really well cooked, wish we had ordered more of that. Also had pizza which was pretty average, declined to take home what we couldn't eat.
