J.Service, ambience and dessert were 5/5. Staff were so lovely and patient and the birthday girl got a lovely little surprise. Unfortunately the food was a bit of a hit and miss. My meal was delicious but some items were over seasoned or under seasoned, overall wasn't overly impressed with the food :(
E.Valentines Dinner Menu. Amazing location, great venue with views of the Auckland viaduct, lovely staff, good food.. but no well factor. Would I consider this value for money.. No. Will I come back again.. not in a hurry, but I heard there high tea is good from a few friends.
D.Had my pre-birthday dinner here and it was lovely. My partner and I ordered the Curious Cropper Tomatoes, Ōra King Salmon Fillet, and the Wagyu Bavette. Everything tasted amazing but the highlight for me was the salmon. The fish was cooked to perfection, was well seasoned, plating was simple but elegant, and the side dish/ sauce were a great match with the salmon.
I was eating more slowly than usual as I didn’t want my meal to end! 🤩
Service was also great. We ordered oysters, and after a while, the manager personally went to our table to apologise and inform us they ran out of it. The other staff were also super attentive, serving our food at just the right timing, getting our empty plates to give way to our other meals, etc.
So glad to have spent my special day here! Highly recommended 👍
J.Sadly I do not have any photo of the other dishes we ordered because there was no time to spare appreciating them with eyes. Because they tasted even more amazing than they looked.
Tuna, cauliflower and risotto were stand out dishes.

S.We went to Onemata especially for the Foundry Chocolate desserts & they did not disappoint! Absolutely amazing.
Exceptional service, the staff were wonderfully attentive, and even brought out a little complimentary cake for my fiancé's birthday. It was a wonderful evening, would highly recommend to all.

T.Service was nice. I order eggs benidict however they don't have it with salmon. So we order salmon on the side and they have incorporated with the eggs benidict, and it is one of the best salmon eggs benidict I have eaten.

D.Nice place with great atmosphere. Had dinner here for wife's birthday and went for the restaurant month 3 course meal. The flavours were delicious. I felt the lamb could do with little more salt but was beautifully cooked and the pairing with the cooked cherries was yummy. The mashed potatoe thing was yummy. Entrees were delicious too, especially the pork Croquettes. The salmon risotto flavour was good but the risotto itself had a solid feel to it and not the al dente Im used to.
Service was great. $55 for the 3 course set was good price I think.

Onemata was delicious, staff after attentive and professional.
I cannot fault the food. Highly recommend for any extravagant, intimate celebration. Perfect for anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, afterwork drinks, high end date nights.

J.Just ok. Disappointing outcome especially given that they knew it was my wifes 40th birthday. The food is very good but the service is certainly lacking, very inattentive with multiple people looking after the table and no one really in charge. On at least 3 occasions we were without a single food or drink item on the table and you have to repeatedly ask for things, we were only asked if we wanted a drink when we first got there, after that you have to go and find someone to ask for a drinks menu. We asked for desert menus at the end of our meals which never showed, so after 20 minutes we got up and left. Good food, poor service, no soul. The hotel is beautiful but the restaurant is average. Ruined what should have been a really nice evening.
M.What we loved:
The staff we’re very welcoming, friendly and attentive.
The food we had was delicious and cooked perfectly, whoever thought of putting eggs bene on a fresh crumpet is a bloody genius. Restaurant ambience was relaxed and inviting, just what you need in the morning.
What could have been better:
Coffees arrived promptly, however weren’t the quality we’re lucky to now expect in Aotearoa. The latte glass albeit aesthetically novel, is awkward to drink from and seemed to make the coffee go cold quickly.
I ordered some pastries to come with the coffee, which were missed unfortunately, but that happens and the waitress was very apologetic.
It seems a requirement for staff to all wear face masks, which is great in theory, however in practice many staff were wearing them under their nose or chin which gives more of a negative customer perspective than not wearing one at all in my opinion.
Overall, we had a pleasant breakfast and looking forward to trying more of the menu!
A.Brent the head chef is amazing. We had the scampi, octopus and the lamb. To die for..and the desert menu was so impressive we couldn't decide so ordered three!
