Reviews of Paradise Takeaway
V.
We arrivwd at around 8 pm and the restaurant was jam packed. We were told a waiting time of 20 mins before a table could be allocated which is understandable in a busy restaurant.
Placing order was easy and food arrived well before our expected wait time despite full tables.
Food was outstanding and usual a hearty portion.
Our favourite Lamb Kolhapuri and kids butter chicken was exceptional. Naan was also fluffy and yummy. Waiters accommodated us very well.
We will come back again.

Last year I went to this restaurant very often. It was boasting itself for serving the best biryani in AKL and yes it was, also food was good, quality and price wise. However, it was a disappointing experience to us today. Food was slow, price has increased by at least $4 each dish, and the curry tasted like old oil. The only highlight was the naan. Not sure if imma come back. Just so disappointed.
C.
Great variety of tasty food and large portions. They do family packs at reasonable prices which work awesome for unexpected guests.
They also have a fridge with food for people in need.. Kudos for giving back to the community in such a dignified way.
A.
The taste of the food was average but quantity is more as compared to other restaurant. Too much rush. We like spicy food and we told to cook spicy but the taste was sweet of every curry. I don't know why Indian restaurants don't make real Indian food. Naan was look like hot bread. If it these types of restaurant were in India there were too much loss in their business. Please try to make Real Indian food.
R.
The food was much better than the buffet. Unfortunately the service with the take away was too slow. I could see my take away place on the rack but there were no body at the counter to give it to me or other customer waiting for their food.
J.
Whenever we’re in the mood for dinner we travel all the way from Mission Bay to Sandringham to get our fix. The butter chicken is unbelievable and so is the chicken korma, there is a reason Paradise is widely regarded as the best Indian in NZ.

Food is great usually. No doubt!
Their Customer services are not too great. Poor staff members seems to be making their ends meet and doing their best but they seems to be running like a Marathon. They seemed to be pushed very hard by the upper management and the Owner.
"Please respect and Show appreciation and kindness of their Hard work as because of their sweat, boiling blood and tired feet and also constantly Running on their toes your Franchise is Running as it is today 😓
"Never Forget that "
Please revise your prices as the cost of Some of the Menu items are overly priced !

This Indian food outlet makes good tasty food of various kinds. It is really worth buying stuff from here.
However, the staff manning the counters are most times in a super hurry to deal with customers even when not crowded - which makes them present themselves in a visually and verbally rude way.
Plus that eternal problem that lies with most Indian outlets is also clearly visible here - that of showing inferior treatment to Indian looking customers and mollycoddle European customers - even though it is the former group which fills their tills way more than the latter. But I guess this is a genetic fault with this group who tends to get floored by anything "foreign".
In brief - good food but questionable service standards
M.
Tried their puffs (Chicken puff was okay okay) (chicken tikka puff was super yummy) (afghani chicken puff was good), Kulcha. Their cake pastries are not good. They serve Halal. Thank you.
S.
Have been here few times over the years and this definitely stays the BEST Indian restaurant of Auckland! This time I had to arrange catering for 90 people, and it was a success, with multiple people telling me that the food was amazing! The family packs are good large size for both the Briyani dishes and curries. My only points of feedback would be that they don't except credit card at the takeaway counter and I had to wait longer than we agreed, so I had to rush to be on time at my company's function.
G.
I has been there for a take away. His food is good, quantity is of good size and worth your money. Unfortunately, there's no one maintain safe distancing and there are 2 outlets for online take away but no guidance as most wait in a single line. But "yes " the food is tasty 😋
A.
Amazing authentic South Asian cuisine. Great value and the online order system is perfect.
M.
Curry was delicious and portion size was huge.
Just beware the very long wait time on online orders. They don't let you know that until after you've placed the order. You also have to pay extra to order online and pay for a $6 bag, even though there's no option to make a phone order, or a cheaper bag.
Also you will have to wait once you arrive at estimated pick up time, as they don't text you to let you know it's ready. Very flawed ordering system letting this name down.
H.
Taste good and our fav Indian rest to go. Afghan chicken is a killer!
P.
I love this place. The food is delicious the prices are reasonable and the restaurant is always clean to a high standard. A couple of the staff are grumpy and somewhat sour, but I don't go there for them
C.
This is a place I go if want to try something authentic. But recently it's been a hit and miss on some of the dishes. Last time my Chicken 65 was so overcooked It was like eating cardboard. It's one of my favorite of the lot and I felt disappointed after tasting it. May be it was a one off
J.
Biryani was good. Every time I'm getting disappointed with the chicken lollipop. I complaint more than 3 times but the chicken was still undercooked and smells raw.
A.
I would love to thank the beautiful lady supervisor who was on tonight and the 2 front of house males that were on tonight we were a family of 27 when we came and it was looking like we were not going to be able to all sit together but they managed to seat us all together and they made sure we were well looked after food came out fast and everyone loved all the food it was amazing we forgot to thank the supervisor as she was busy if you see this thank yous so much for your hospitality this place is highly recommended specially if you want to try authentic desi food all my wife's whanau really enjoyed everything. 10/10
N.
Food is really good and service is fast too and cake pastry is delicious specially black forest and white forest and pistachio flavor are best in taste. Thanks for serving such a fabulous food and service.
K.
Perhaps the best place to have Indian food in the entire New Zealand. Once again we drive more than 200k just to savour the delicacies on offer.
S.
One of the best Indian food restaurant's that I have been to lately. Customer service was outstanding, Food was Amazing and tasty, tender juicy chicken, flavors were there, good Ambience. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would surely recommend their garlic naan, handi chicken and mixed platter. Great value for money too.
R.
The food is so good but the way they serve Naan packs for takeaway is very bad. I ordered two packs Naan and the cook packed all 6 Naan in just 1 small foil and have off the Naan is open. I already spoke to the girl at the counter about that but she just ignored me. Please it would good of you could pack the naans properly because by the time I reached home the Naan is cold and hard.
m.
Quality of food has detoriated over period of time and prices gone up. Specially the biryanis are very poor now. sad to say this but it's not like what it was 10 -15 years ago.
S.
I had my doubts reading reviews but they are tasty first time I tried yesterday money well spent. Wait time was crazy 30mins but totally worth the wait, also they have a separate takeaway bar next door if the restaurant is full
R.
Good Indian food and lots of choices. Service was good and fast.
C.
Must be a good sign if all 3 Paradise eateries are busy on a Thursday night. Huge selection of takeaways all very reasonably priced. Lots of vegetarian options and a fortuitous find we all enjoyed. Good thing they warn you about the degree of spice in the food as medium was definitely not near mild! Very enjoyable meal!
J.
Paradise, great food here, delicious and usually fresh but the wait times can be a bit much at times. Been going here for the past 6 years. The customer service here needs to be improved, during busy periods everything seems to fall apart, they've improved alot over the years but I'm afraid to say the service aspect of their takeaway division is poor. Called up for chicken noodles and told it would take 20 mins, arrived to pick up assuming it was cooked and packaged but the man at the counter made his colleague serve it from the catering tray, this is why I can only give a 3 star rating, as said earlier the food was delicious but a lack of communication ruins it for all.
F.
Love the food, it's yummy and tasty. Especially Biriyani, chicken 65, butter chicken and chicken lolypop. Place is too much crowdy at afternoon and evening time with long que and waiting time because of much local popularity. They increased all the menu prices which is way higher than other restaurants. Recommend this place to indian food lovers.
Edit in May 2022: Now a days their Biriyani family combo box and its quantity become too much smaller than earlier box, although they charge around 40% higher price. Family pack should cover at least 4 persons' food quantities, otherwise please change the name 2 person's pack instead of family pack.
S.
Delicious food but service is too slow, 1hr 10min (they say 25min yeah nah). We got someone else paneer order too.
Ordered chicken sagwala and chicken tikka masala.
G.
We came as a big group and everyone enjoyed the experience. The food was delicious and is reasonably priced. Staff was also pretty friendly and welcoming.
J.
Had been served by friendly service and nicely presented food. Was a really popular restaurant although it was a weekday dinner. Parking available on the side of roads (does jot have allocated parking for their customers). They had lovely naan bread and beautiful curry. Recommended.
R.
Best restaurant in Auckland , love their food , its worth waiting , Must try Chicken Biriyani , Chicken Lollipop (one of my fav's) , Garlic chicken and chilli chicken , Thanks Paradise team 🙂
L.
For me, This is the best Indian restaurant in New Zealand.
Love their fresh roti served with authentically curries...Nice staffs especially I gave 5 stars for an Ethiopia girl, like her energy personally. We will be back soon..thank you
J.
Paradise food is always great- the only reason for the 3 stars is that i had to wait an hour after the estimated pickup time to get my food, even though i ordered many hours in advance so that i would get the food on time.
But in there defense, it was very busy- but this shows some poor planning which means there is room for improvement.
But i definitely recommend the food to all.

b.
they have reasonable priced food and good tastebut too much oil that is not good for health, they should reduce the ise of this much oil.this is the only thing to be improved.
A.
Love it always fresh always delicious and value for your money

Food was ok to good, but the wait time on takeaways was far too long. Wasn't worth the wait in my opinion. I'd hesitate to come back despite the good being good.

Great curry fish and lamb. Good service. Reasonable price. Only minor issue is that food is too salty. Highly recommended.
G.
Had Paradise for the first time tonight.
At $18 for a main (EXCLUDING RICE which is an additional $3.50) it is quite expensive. However, the portion size is pretty large - normally I could eat a naan and most/all of a main myself and after my naan I didn't even get halfway through this.
In terms of flavour I found it a bit bland and the 'hot' wasn't very hot at all. But the chicken did taste great itself. The major issue was how oily it was - I've never had any meal that had this much oil in it - even after mixing up with both naan and spoon it still had pools in it, which was rather off-putting.
This place is extremely popular but honestly it just kinda seems overrated to me.
K.
The second time again 👍... Friendly welcome served kids foods faster. Clean hall and toilets. Containers are ready for leftover and takeaway foods. Yummy foods: Saagva paneer, Bethany chicken, .. All good. will back again.
P.
Awesome food. Amazing qualities. The best Indian food and value in New Zealand. Worth the lines during peak hours. Ordered 2 curries, basmati rice, Naan and lollipop chicken
A.
Food was ok to good, but the wait time on takeaways was far too long. Wasn't worth the wait in my opinion. I'd hesitate to come back despite the good being good.
G.
Delicious Food corner thats what the name tells Pradise loved it
B.
Delicious food but prepare for long wait, approximately an hour: parking also isn’t the best however it’s all worth it!
U.
visited this place for the second time today .. our first dine in experience wasnt good at all but today we went for a take away .. biryani was so good and fresh .. my kids loved Afghani puffs , chicken tikka puffs , mango lassi and chocolate pastries …
A.
A good place to try the no vegetarian as well vegetarian buffet or dine in or take away. They have 3 different restaurant to do this. The buffet shop off Sandringham road. Monday to Wednesday 15$ and Thursday to Sunday 20$ per person. The taste was okay.
S.
The best thing they got is chicken lollipop. All curries tastes almost same and very bland, looks like they use same curry base for all. Biryani is average, I don't understand what is the hype for. Service is great 10/10.
A.
Best curry in Auckland. My go to place for takeaway. They are always busy, because they are good.
o.
My go to Friday takeaway...Delicious food but always busy.
T.
this food is seriously addictive, its sooooo yummy!! paneer butter masala and chicken lollipop, mmmm delicious
K.
First and not my last visit. A varied menu, decent portions and not overly priced. Next visit i will order the next level of spice up from medium as this was a little too soft. .... a clean plate is a happy plate. Oh and very attentive staff also. :-)
G.
Best value Indian food in Auckland. Fantastic portions and three naans for $6. Great selection of dishes and also bakery options!!
N.
I came from Sydney to visit my friend and he took me for a dinner to Paradise Restaurant Buffet in Sandrigham. It was by far one of ’The Best’ buffet I have ever had. Superb food, great selection of dishes. Starters, mains, desserts all were excellent. Service is superb, presentation and ambience is the best i have experienced. They have a separate Naan counter serving fresh out of the oven Naans with a variety of butter, garlic and plain.
Selection of menu in the buffet covers everyone from kids to adults to vegetarians and non vegetarian. The buffet is reasonably priced at $18 Mon-Wed and $20 Thu-Sun. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates great food.
j.
This place never disappoints. Great food and good service.
J.
Everyone seems to like it, and it seems like good quality, not my personal taste in Indian food though but worth a visit in case it is yours.
S.
Best halal Indian food in Auckland... First time here and will definitely be back... great place and ambience... reasonable price for great food
L.
Gret takeaways- if in a hurry go Express Menu. Lady on takeaway pick up counter - excellent customer service followed up on my order. Made to order curries - allow at least 25 minutes . A grade hygiene rating. No credit cards accepted.
P.
Food is good as compared to other restaurants in NZ, however i really think its unfair to charge 3% surcharge on debit cards while ordering online.
b.
they have reasonable priced food and good tastebut too much oil that is not good for health, they should reduce the ise of this much oil.this is the only thing to be improved.
S.
Not committed to the given pick up time, always late need to improve. They know their food is good, so they are neglecting on the service.
S.
Line to pick up online order was a little chaotic. However, food is always enjoyed by the person I picked up for. Thank you.
#.
This place is our usual if we want to dine out for some good indian curry! Also full after visiting this place and have plenty of vegetarian friendly options which so far have not disappointed!
V.
Very nice restaurant with authentic Indian cuisine. However, they require customers to pay prior to the meal, which could cause some inconveniences. The food comes in the pretty quick pace and the staff are friendly. Always crowed even in a Monday night. Would recommend to anyone who interested in Auckland cultural diversity food tour.
A.
Good food. The lunch combo has great value. The dinner buffet is really good as well.
J.
One of the best Indian Takeaway in Auckland! I am not a fan of Indian food but when I tasted this, it absolutely blow my mind off, ate a lot of rice paired with Garlic chicken, Manchurian chicken and Habarrabarab (i think this is the word not so sure), anyways, its delicious! guaranteed!!
A.
I had Chicken Tikka Pizza and Mutton 🍕, they were very tasty 😋 I loved them
A.
Wonderful meal with family here. Delicious food. :3 Highly recommend for delicious Indian cuisine.
J.
Great food, we really enjoyed it, the staff service was excellent. We really loved the garlic chicken, and the tandoori was amazing. Will definitely come back again.
A.
We are regular customer of paradise take away. We love to have food from them. We try they food every single weekend. They food have no competition with other restaurants because paradise restaurant food is the best in Auckland.
We highly recommend to other kiwis to try it once then you will love it all the time.
Here is a small issue to bring in Mr waseem knowledge if it's helpful with his take away service to be more professional way.
Since we are back to level 3 and having take away food we didn't have fork and spoon and serviette. All the time we asked to present staff and requested them but no one care to keep it with take away food.
Any body have idea how we feel when we was sitting at the park and having our lovely take away food from paradise restaurant with out fork and spoon.
Thanks.
S.
Good selection of veg and non veg. Excellent quality
G.
The curries are pretty good and great to share, but to be honest, I was disappointed that we had to get up to go order as I had assumed it had table service but obviously I had misassumed. They do seem to have a small buffet bar or something available too. No alcohol is available for purchase nor can you BYOB, so that may be a big factor too. Odd blue lights too?
L.
The best Indian restaurant in Auckland. The food is delicious. Service is nice too.
F.
Excellent cuisine. Excellent quantity and quality. Excellent value for money. A must visit.
J.
The curries, delicious! Must try the garlic paneer nan.
h.
Cheap options for takeaway if you like more oily food. Even gives half portion of any item as well. Looks like rates have been increased recently. But Overall comment: Cooks Bulk and Sell cheap. I like their desserts like Rice pudding, Mango pastry and Cake pudding.
K.
Nizami seekh kebab lamb are best in town. Biryani is over rated as most people don't know what is succulent Hyderabadi lamb Biryani
j.
Went here for a sit down with my wife and daughter, ordered 3 curries with rice, a byriani, tandoori chicken, mixed grilled platter and garlic breads, roti’s and a paratha 🫓 for $115. Was so much food we came away we loads of food. Bad points, had to walk up and order, no table service, also not licensed and no BYO.. but food was excellent
F.
I have been eating or buying take aways from here since 2008. The food is ok. But the menu never changes. Boring and doesn't excite me.
S.
We all loved the Lamb Biriyani Family Special combo that came with fried chilly chicken and boiled eggs. It was delicious and would love to revisit the place. Not sure about the other food though.
S.
My family loves this place! Always lively, lots of hard working staffs and chefs that we can actually see thru the windows:)
We recommend: Saag Paneer and pretty much anything on the menu. Keep up the good work guys:D
H.
We came here because we heard a great review about this place. It tasted pretty nice, but nothing special. The curries came with rice and we couldn’t change it with nan. So it’s hard to order nan. It’s a shame that we couldn’t order just the curries. Biryani was okay. Price was reasonable.
K.
Great taste great presentation especially the Chicken 65 Naan bread and chicken lollipop great taste would recommend 🙂
K.
Tasty food with reasonable price. However no tissue provided.
t.
Absolute awesome in everything..... one of the best in town , service needs to improve a little bit overall well balanced.
X.
I remember when Paradise first opened, the food was so good their small restaurant at that time was packed. As time progressed they had good service, the staff were attentive to customers and food was good. Unfortunately, now even though they enough staff for almost each table, they do not care about their service anymore. They are no longer attentive, it takes quite a few tries before you can get anyone's attention when you need something because they are not looking if anyone needs service in the first place. The food is not as good as it used to be. The taste is always different, sometimes good, sometimes bad, it really should be consistent. Now days, it's just a bland taste, not as much flavour as it used to be. I have visited India for a holiday and I know how flavourful authentic indian food is.
M.
I really enjoyed the food that I ordered. Really competitive price compared to the Indian restaurants in south Auckland where I belong. And also have to mention the quantity of biriyani rice which is plenty. The place is highly rush during weekends. In takeaways, you have about 15- 20 waiting time after you ordered the food. And also the queue to order the food is also quite long. But the food is worth the wait.
p.
Great food for amazing value - just be prepared to wait for it.
We ordered all of the food in the photos and it took a good half hour for it to arrive. When asked why, the waitress told us that this is because we ordered everything together. Potential life hack - order items separately for quicker service?
Come early for the night service - this place is packed and booming with business. For large numbers, you'll expect to wait. Smaller groups and couples should fit in without a hitch.
The above bill came up to an appetising $100 for 4 adults and a 3 year old. That said, the massive briyani platter costed $40 so the bill could have been $60. An easy meal for a night out.
M.
Great vegetarian curry. I love the app for pick-up. It is really handy ! Curries don't come with rice so be careful when you take your order. As consequence, it is slightly more expensive than others places but it worth it.
A.
Go to for biryani, other menu is too oily especially curries and has a lot of food color.
A.
Only bcoz of love my brother salah mohhammad….
F.
Good food but service is very slow. I waited for like 20 minutes and then had to ask. To see they were not even aware that my food was ready.
D.
Food is brilliant and well priced
B.
Operates like a fast food chain. Take away is cheaper than eat-in. The chicken bryani was quite spicy. Great Indian flavours.
A.
Excellent Food, Service and taste is unforgetable taste auckland best indian food
S.
The best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to ❤️
s.
One of the best Indian restaurants in Auckland. Their food is the closest to authentic Indian cuisine. It’s always fresh and consistent. The variety is great and all the dishes are great. The service us really quick and yet friendly. Ambiance is decent and you can tell that the owner must be a cricket fan. Good value for money. Best dish would be biryani and the fish.
N.
Beautiful looking place, clean and tidy. We're seated upon arrival but told to order at the counter.
The garlic naan and cheese naan were amazing! As well as the mango lassi.
Butter chicken was okay, wish it was more traditional. Loved the bitter pander, the cottage cheese was soft and gooey.
I'm keen to come back and try other dishes on the menu..... And drink more lassi 😊
J.
Yummy food. Neat and tidy. Systematic way of takeaway deliveries
V.
Pretty great Indian food with a wide range of choices.
Could do a bit better on the family combo chicken biryani.
A.
Love it always fresh always delicious and value for your money
J.
Good food good service price little bit high but okay 👍
V.
Wow these curries are awesome!! Best we ever tasted. Stayed hot wrapped in a blanket as we traveled home 40 minutes. They have a restaurant a couple of shops away too. Generous size and incredibly low price!!! Suggest pre order online as they are really popular.
H.
Very good Indian and tasty food. Here was many cricket team's taken food and offer his batt with autograph for display.
v.
Quality and food does not taste same post lockdown. Add extra 30 min for delivery. They made few mistakes with order.
M.
Great experience eating indian food. Each dish costs around 20 dls.
R.
Very good volume of food, very tasty however not healthiest one.
L.
Great food but a long wait beyond the time given online.
K.
Amongst the best in Auckland for everyday authentic chicken and lamb based dish takeaways and dining.
M.
Be prepared for a long wait but this is totally worth it! Great curry!
s.
yummy indian food
wish i can buy pani pori next time
butter mutton tasty
clean and healthy
A.
Such a great food, thanks guys
S.
as usual, their food and service is always great. love their new digital self ordering system. only flaw i can tell about that is it automatically charges $0.50 for the bag where it should have asked if we want the bag or not and then charge upon that.
D.
Excellent food quality and quantity
Always visit them whenever I’m around.
Number 1 Indian restaurant in Auckland
K.
Delicious food. Cannot fault any of the dishes but very disorganized behind the counter. No system at all. Orders are ready but they don't call out names so you end up waiting for such a long time for your order. Behind the counter service can and should improve.
P.
Food is always delicious. Quick service and friendly staff
K.
Authentic Indian food. Loved it!
J.
As the name says.. Its a paradise for Indian food lovers. With two seperate locations for dine in and take aways makes it easy. Dine in is good ambience with good service and mouth watering food. Their paradise special curry and biryanis are to die for. Yum yum.
B.
Tasty food but too much colour added in the curries. Ordered Chilli panner and panner masala curry. Washed hands with soap 2 times but the colour still showed on the fingers.
S.
Great food, but never on time with their pick up times. Lost our order that was made on their app. Don't seem to care as they are so busy. Need much better systems and better accountability!
A.
I enjoyed it! I was surprised by the fact that they had cheap prices but a bigger quantity. My friends though felt, the biriyani would have been better with little more spice. However it was lovely for the time!!!
D.
Biryani - specifically, tasty and good portion size
A.
Dine in last min walk in no probs😊 food overall delicious! lollipop chicken we’re to die for 😋 srsly! staff we’re lovely and helpful. It was refreshing to see a variety of ethnicity dining in 1 restaurant. Can’t wait to bring my family in to experience your yummy cuisine.
A.
10 STARS, no TWENTY. BEST, BEST, BEST curries ever served in NZ and beyond. Go and experience authentic flavours, grilled meats and succulent koftas. Line up in the queue, immerse yourself in Little India and feel the vibe of good food in the making. It's a whole new experience and more than worth the wait.
And, very reasonable priced.👍 Plus, they serve free food to people who can't affort to buy food. 👍👍👍 I'm totally impressed with all they're doing.
Eat delicious food, donate and support and feel good. Huge compliments for Paradise and staff. YOU'RE AWSOME.
M.
Very good place to eat Indian cuisine.
T.
Really good Indian food joint in Auckland
F.
Great tasting curries and a good selection. I have found their online order system easy to use and the order is ready to pick up at the appointed time.
Personal favs :
The basmati rice is long and fluffy. The chicken 65 is a tasty dry curry. Being able to choose the level of spiciness and they get it right so if you choose super spicy that's what you get.
For purchase their takeaway bag with handles, is leak proof and reusable.

Curry was tasty and naan bread was fresh. Only downside is that if you order online, they don’t meet the time. We ordered for 12:30pm and our order ended up being prepared by 12:55pm. Advice is to put your order time at least 15 mins before your actual desired time.
D.
Best take away and dine in experience. Great food at great prices. More than value for money. Enjoy the experience get Paradise and you will never look back.
M.
Always busy long wait time but quality food with friendly staff
S.
We have been picking up food from this fantastic restaurant for many years and have found the quality and portions very good and consistent. Today was quite disappointing; the mutton biryani had very very few pieces of mutton and the take away containers of Harabara Chicken were not filled to their usual quantities. Would think this was a one-off incident and hopeful the staff will be informed to maintain the standard of this reputable food outlet. Please take this feedback in the spirit it was intended
Y.
Always served quickly with a selection of daily deals to choose from. Each main serving per person is plenty and generally is enough for leftovers. Never disappoints. We always go there when craving curry, but those stirfried dishes are also really tasty.
A.
A very nice place to enjoy proper Indian food. If you want to cater for an event or family occasions, this may be your best bet.
B.
I can see how they can become an empire of Indian restaurants. They have good quality food (this is the a la carte side), good portions, for a cheap $20 per person. Good place to be when you're hungry and looking for some flavoursome food. Have not tried the buffet which I was told consistently that it isn't worth the time or money.
S.
One of my faIndian/Pakistani food restaurants. Everyone in my big Gujarati family like it, and they’re super duper fussy with where they eat out. So no duh it’s a goodie ;)
R.
The place for vegetarian eaters as well! Definitely will be back. We are a group of four. One was a non vegetarian and other three are vegies. Baby corn fries and panner 65 are the best for the starters. Placing order and payment should be made well in advance. But the service was really quick as expected. Fun briyanis are there special. Vegetarian Dum biriyani was excellent. Malai kofta and Panner dishes were tasty and worth paying it. I relaized at the end all the cricket celebrities had food here. You can find their signature and their photos.
V.
Best biryani in New Zealand
B.
Busy always busy. Make sure you check the order before you leave.
I.
One of the Best Indian food around Auckland
W.
Came here a few times already. The chicken biryani is quite good, it even comes with a chicken lollipop which has a very nice chat taste. Their curries are all pretty nice as well, creamy and not too salty or sweet.
K.
Great value for money as they have a lunch special for $12 curry, rice & naan. Not like other curry places as the meat to sauce ratio at Paradise puts shame on the others. Staff are great. Never disappointed the range of curries is awesome
N.
Food was good, but customer service is really bad. The two guys taking orders started to argue amongst eachother
D.
More transactional than relationship oriented with customers. Good food, reasonable price.
M.
Clean, and friendly atmosphere.
Was just in for pickup but the aroma of the spices and mouth watering spiced meats on display can make anyone with a pallet for Indian will not be disappointed
O.
I used their online service to place my order. Very convenient. Didn't have to wait in any queues. Got there and my order was ready for collection. The food was great and the portions were huge.
D.
Great food...order and cash collection was quite well organized.. albeit with some people trying to break the que...but order collection was very poorly organized.. couple of staff shouting out names and collection counter was extremely overcrowded. Display showing orders ready for collection should be introduced.
R.
Our go to place for best Indian food in town. authentic taste.. prompt service...staff could be a bit more friendly..
S.
Great place for dinner if you enjoy Indian food. Plenty of seating across multiple rooms. Once you've identified from the menu what you want, head to the counter to order and pay in advance. Not like normal restaurants, where I personally prefer a waiter to take my order and to pay at the end, but just how they do it. The attentive waitress made sure we always had plenty of water, but the place is non alcoholic, so don't expect to buy a beer or wine to go with your meal. Was very tasty and we'll worth a try. We shared three curries between four of us, which was plenty.
J.
Wouldn't be a 5 star due to the slow serving speed but excellent food. Yum
M.
YUM!! Loved and a long time coming that my husband and I have been trying to go there. We finally had a date luncheon there and we were well taken care of by the staff.
I ordered the spinach chicken and that was excellent, my husband ordered the lamb korma and that was delicious. We ordered a green salad and that was good and the onion pakora was very filling and I like the way it was presented.
We'll definitely be back and spread the word how great it is here! 👍
I.
Big portions.. The rice is not very nice
C.
Food portion size was good, the Curry's were okay but far too much oil. Did not like the surcharges for a bag we didn't want and that to pay by card online it charges you a fee
P.
Excellent food. Nice ambience too. Loved the chicken kohlapuri and prawns masala
M.
Due to lack of Staff, Paradise facing a lot of trouble in customer service. But Still they are fast like MacD and very friendly. Change my review to 5 star
Y.
Delicious food every time I eat there, the taste is the same and this is great but quantity of food and price changed over time. I hope the restaurant consider that to keep old customers come back again.
K.
I have become more obsessed with Indian food!
R.
The best Indian food I ever tasted!
W.
Great taste, huge serving size, great value
M.
Gorgeous food as usual - BUT - don't rely on the time you specify for pickup. My order was 1/2 hour late. Would have been 5 stars if it was on time.
R.
Great food and fairly priced. However painfully long waiting times. The extra fees for online orders even if you use a debit card seems wrong. It might be fair to charge extra for using a credit card. With no payment on pickup and phone based orders, you have no option but pay extra online order fees.
S.
All time favorite. The chicken biryani and chicken 65 is super tasty.
P.
One of the best and most reliable restaurants in my neighborhood. I always order their Chicken Tika Masala, rich flavors and creamy sauce with the best size boneless chicken pieces. I love this place. 3x Naan for $6 always completes my orders 👍🙂.
A.
Very great value and hefty portion. Taste as good as The Restaurant. Highly recommended.
S.
It's always my favorite place for Indian food
G.
It’s good Hyderabadi (Indian food). Price,Quality,Portion of meal is really good. Staff always friendly.
T.
Loved the food. Very authentic Indian food rich and tasty. Would highly recommend.
S.
Agree that this is the best Indian restaurant in NZ! They are very busy but still managed efficiently. The food is delivered fast and very delicious. We especially love the grilled fish and the special masala
S.
Order a mix of malai boti, grilled fish and lentils. Everything was up to the mark.
د.
Recommended halal restaurant, I love the chicken tikka and chicken mango.
J.
I love the biryani and food is just amazing
L.
Chicken Biryani was good but the chicken was dry and overcooked. Arabian salad was refreshing, could have been better with some dressing and salad oil. Lollipop chicken better than other places
L.
A fantastic range of daily food deals and fast service that will not disappoint. Really high quality products and seriously delicious.
The only note I have is that the Naan could have been hotter, but price for money, their lunch deals are definitely five star!
A.
Indian food kings in Auckland. Beautiful food without being harsh in the pallette. Generous serving sizes. Huge menu. Guaranteed quality every time. Take away, dine in an buffet have amazing atmospheres and great staff. I really can't find another place that has the same value. Highly recommend.
M.
One of the best Indian takeaway in Auckland. The quantity and price match so perfectly. Quick easy efficient and worth visiting. I've been having Chicken Dum Biryani since 2 years and No complaints. Worth visiting.
S.
The curries we got from Paradise were amazing. The customer service was outstanding - one of our curries had spilt in the bag and the staff quickly replaced it for us and gave us a free naan too. We will definitely be coming back!
N.
This is a really good place for Indian takeaways. Good food for very affordable price.
K.
Long queue at certain period, phone order done and wait time more than 1 hour in lubch time
J.
Second time of Paradise leaving out part of our order. Had to drive back 15 minutes to get order. No offer of recompense. Food is great but on these cold nights!
S.
My first visit and will definitely be back. The food is not over priced.... clean... great food.. great taste...great place... value for money.
J.
Basic dining experience but the food is amazing.
M.
Best india food in town for me as indonesian
M.
Very popular place. Food is tasty & prices as expected.
A.
Really good food, but I can't say it's the best Indian restaurant I've been to. I would only recommend it if you were already in the area.
D.
No comments on the food quality, it's well reviewed. But takeaway is not sincere with time. If it says 2:30 you better go by 3:30. Delay is the norm. Saw a few people leave after considerable wait, cancelling the order in the end. And I think they know it, just can't fix it.
S.
Love it. Curries great and fast service
M.
Delicious food great customer care highly recommend!!!
A.
I had tandoori chicken. It was full of oil and food color.
Not the thing one expects in actual tandoori Chicken. It has to be roasted with minimal oil.
I had high expectations with paradise but it seems nowhere in Auckland one can get a better Indian Cuisinie.
I am giving three stars because of courteous staff and dish presentation.
d.
Quality food with very reasonable price.
T.
Apart from trying to find the right place, restaurant, takeout and buffet in 3 different place but all within 2 minutes of each other. Food and service great. Definitely on the list of places to go back to
M.
Newly opened in Otahuhu. I believe they have an established restaurant in Henderson as well. Very happy, friendly host (I think he is also the owner), offered great advice and recommendations after hearing what we like. The food was very tasty and arrived promptly. A very chill, laid back setting. Will absolutely be going back. Very happy to recommend.
E.
Great food! Good service. People there came for the genuine Indian food at an unbelievable price and they got it.
p.
The quanity of meat in the biryani has been decreasing considerably from the past 4 years. I appreciate you guys have started selling Osmania biscuits. However, where is the Irani chai to go with these delicious osmania biscuits?
D.
The staff are awesome the chefs incredible the experience exceptional.
Highly recommended, their local support for the hungry people who struggle to put food on the table, offering them a free meal was an overwhelming jesture of kindness and generousity. I take my hat off to the Paradise staff and owners.

I have been going to Paradise since it started with its first small takeaway place. For me personally, the food quality has gotten even better. With the introduction of the buffet and the seperation of the dine-in and takeaway, service has become less complicated. their takeaway menu has increased in the number of items they serve and all items that i have ordered are really tasty and fantastic. The Biryani family pack is one dish that has really been amazing for its value for money. there is a downside to the takeaway place though and that is that i have had to wait for upwards of 20 minutes or more even though i have placed a phone order well in advance. This has happened a few times with me. Other than this issue, the food is fantastic.
e.
One of best places to get brilliant indian food yummy food to fill your tummy 😋.
Of last the taste is also improving great job paradise team
V.
Amazing food. Proper Indian food and taste and completely worth the price 🤤
A.
Very active n helpful staff...customer service was wonderful.... Food was delicious as expected.... Recommendations to friends n family would be high....had satisfying results from my family really appreciated n enjoyed my husband's birthday.... A big thanks to paradise team
R.
This place is a real Paradise. Spotless, polite and hospitable staff, down to earth owners, and of course super delicious food. We can never get enough of their real authentic Indian food. Highly recommended.
f.
Taste of Indian food like currys, Nan bread, kulcha, biriany, deserts, pies are available.
N.
best indian food in town.

M.
The food was so awesome me my wife n son loved it
R.
Awesome food, each and every dish is at its best..my son loves harabhara chicken. We prefer to get food from here every Friday for our cheat day Good value for money also. Customer service is average, can improve on that!
J.
Perhaps the only thing close to Hyderabadi food. Recommend Nalli Gosht my fav. Quantities good. Great to enjoy and share with family and friends. Please dont increase the prices. Love the pineapple cake.
N.
Incredible food and friendly staff. Some of the best Indian food i have ever eaten
I.
My husband and I took two curries that were nice but, I have been charged 2,50$ for a display biscuit price said was 1,50$ and I realized so when I’ve checked my banking account as they don’t release receipt for the food bough but only the eftpos receipt. It was not a big thing but next time I will check carefully.
A.
Great food. Best Indian food in my opinion
A.
Delicious desert and food!! Best indian food in the country!
L.
The best biryani in town
j.
Best Indian takeaway in Auckland is all I can say
t.
Paradise is brilliant, never disappoints!
S.
Usual place to order the non veg food. As usual I have ordered Chicken Briyani.. it hasn't disappointed me.. taste is good, chicken pieces are well cooked. Best place for Briyani Lovers..
A.
I will appreciate if they put less oil. People will get heart attack :)
a.
Some of the nicest Indian food available, great curries with an awesome taste, its a awesome place to get a meal for a group of people and i have never had a bad experience. If you eat in there is always a great atmosphere and is always full no matter the day of the week. Online ordering is another great feature, but just be aware they are very busy so take away orders sometimes take a while so order early!
T.
A++
Staffs working very hard.
I hope the are been paid well...
Great work ...
J.
Awesome food at a great price. I was told the biryani was on point and they did not disappoint. Quick service so the perfect place for work lunch.
H.
Very tasty food, very nice staff, and the overall atmosphere is just excellent
Z.
Amazing Halal food. Everything we have tried here is yumilicious. Its our go to place for Indian cuisine. I love their Lamb Seekh kebabs and my husband loves their biryani. But overall I believe everything is good. Service is exceptional and you get value for money.
T.
Amazing service and food. Love how they even have free meals for the needy. Very tidy and clean facility with great staff 😊
D.
Can't deny that they got some good indian food. But not really happy with their service though.
Would recommend this place. Better to order ahead.
A.
Great food.... it’s always busy no matter what time of the day it is
They should take booking as you have to wait in line just to dine in which can take more than a hour but I guess the wait will be worth it.....
P.
Love their food. Keep going back for more. Portion sizes, prices, service and turnaround time from the time you place an order - nothing to fault
C.
The best curries in Auckland! I'd reccomend the chef's special of literally anything and the saag paneer. I've moved out of Mt Albert but still come back here when I want a curry.
Do expect wait times for pick up to be pretty bad on Friday nights and the weekend though.
S.
Nice food. Up to the mark. Must go for best ever Indian meal.
T.
The name stands on it's own. Pretty decent place to have a nice dinner with friends and family.
I certainly am biased about their great biriyani, but give the chicken lollipop a try. It is definitely worth it!
A.
Never fails to deliver. The biriyani is great and portions are massive. We had a function of 25 and would've only gone through 1.5 biriyani family packs. The curries I would recommend are the chicken 65, hariyali chicken, chilli prawns and madras chicken. The entrees of sheekh kebab lamb was equally impressive. All at a reasonable price.
T.
I do love Paradise Takeaway. But I wish they had Sag Paneer available in their express menu. Oh and the paradise masala too..
I'm not sure how authentic Paradise curries are but to me they are delicious almost endulgent curries. Cream and filled with meat in generous portions.
I personally prefer the restaurant. But if your going to do takeaway I'd recommend the online order so you can get all your wishes otherwise you'll need to do the express menu in store.
n.
We bought a selection of lamb and chicken dishes with naan bread and each one of them was authentically delicious. We even sampled the desserts..... a lovely way to end our meal.
J.
Good lunch.. egg plant vegetarian was very nice!! Must be a new dish on the menu. CHILLI Panner was good but possibly frozen and cooked a bit tough but nice.. great experience.
D.
Very good food. Try the thin and crispy naan. They are amazing
