C.Wow! We knew it would be excellent food, but this was next level. The staff were not only extremely friendly and attentive but read the group so well that even the kids were kept happy.
Large groups are not always easy but we all left very full and very happy.
Could not recommend more!
G.Great selection of delicious authentic Italian cucina (cuisine) from this family owned and operated restaurant in Waiake, North Shore. The vino (wine) list is a little light, but does have a some interesting looking Italian wines, and also to their credit, has a BYO option at a very fair corkage, so you can bring the perfect bottle to suit your taste.
I took my fiancé there for the first time about a month ago, on a Friday night, the place was almost full, the atmosphere was warm and homely, and the cameriera (waitress) was very friendly and attentive, with detailed knowledge of the menu and options. We then received our antipasto platter and wine quickly, but that was followed by was an unacceptably long delay in the subsequent courses being presented. This may have been due to recent easing of covid restrictions and not predicting the subsequent surge in mecenatismo (patronage). However, to their credit, the manager brought us out complimentary wine refreshments and apologies, even though we did not complain about the service 👍👍👍.
Overall - friendly, genuine, authentic, delicious, homely, local eatery. Well worth a return visit or two to try some of the other appetizing looking dishes on the menu...
J.Authentic Italian owned and operated restaurant. It is fantastic to have them around the corner. Their personable service and passion for food brings back fond memories. Highly recommend if you aren’t sure what to do for dinner or an easy night out on the shore. We had traditional style carbonara - it was exactly as we hoped.

R.Been meaning to go here for years and it turns out I've really been missing out. Piatti had delicious, authentic food at a fair price. Our host was lovely, and it makes a huge difference to the standard of service when the Maître d' is also the co-owner. Nothing was a problem and there was attention to detail. I'll be going back for sure, and next time with more guests.

D.We have never been disappointed here and brought friends many times. The menu choices are not huge, but very well produced. The chef is also willing to do some variations, if asked. The cocktails are good and a great start to the meal. I'd like to see some occasional changes to the menu - we can come more often then. Easy parking and a quiet neighbourhood.
P.This is our favourite local Italian restaurant, service first class, fresh pasta dishes impeccable and the scallopini marsala - well it’s my wife’s most favourite main. BUT, a word of warning, when ordering food be sure to order the chocolate pud desert first, in case they run out!!! You do not want to miss that!!!

P.We went as a group one evening and enjoyed the ambience and the warmth of the fire. Warmly welcomed by staff and soon the wine did flow. Not too much but enough for a glow/ Mains came and were very tasty but lacked enough vegetables or salad to fill the plate and soothe the palate. Prawns and Eye Fillet did not quite fill it. However the Dessert was a sticky pudding with ice cream which we devoured with delight. We may even come again...

s.Sweet little place. When we arrived they were fully booked but were willing to accommodate us at our request to sit in the bar area. Which I would dare to say might have been the best seat in the house. Staff were great, prepared to accommodate every customer's whim. Menu was more than the stardard Italian. Food was lovingly prepared and came out hot and fresh. Wish I had room for dessert. Looking forward to next time.

D.Absolutely amazing food! Definitely highly recommend this little inconspicuous place, we had the steak, nonnas home-made lasagne, (outstanding), mushroom and bacon risotto and the linguine. Desserts equally yummy! Especially the chocolate lava cake! We're planning on trying the dare night next 😊😊😊
k.Piatti had a lovely warm atmosphere, with gas fire, and good parking. Service friendly. Plates should have been heated as food had cooled quickly when delivered to table. $6 for a small coffee, really!!
J.Lovely little restaurant. We enjoys all our dishes. Bruscetta was yummy. Linguini dish was large enough to take some home. Tiramisu was delishious aswell. He chicken main was tasty but wee felt it was a wee bit pricey for what it was. We will go again or might get takeaways.
W.If you want to experience quality authentic Italian food you have to visit this restaurant. The food is delicious the service is second to none, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Five stars is not enough 👍
