Beautiful atmosphere. Yummy omelette and well made scrambled eggs. Omelette only 2 eggs and is $18.50 retail which is quite pricy. The presentation could be a little better too. I visited Pilkingtons during Restaurant Month 2020 and was excited to dine here after hearing many positive reviews. Upon arriving, I was warmly greeted and seated by such attentive staff. The restaurant decor is beautiful, opulent and light like a glass enclosure with marble and gold features. I was very impressed by the wine list as there was a wonderful selection. The restaurant month menu is what I opted for and also had some artisan bread with whipped home butter. This was absolutely wonderful with my Barossa Shiraz. As part of the set menu, my entree was a roasted beetroot with grilled radicchio, soured cream, candied walnut and beetroot gel. This dish was amazing, I loved the textures and complimentary flavors with meringue shards within. My main was a long line market fish with roasted cauliflower, walnuts, kale, golden raisins, burnt butter and ajo blanco. This dish was delicious and served with a complementary Gewurztrauminer. To finish of I ordered the cheeseboard with a glass of Zinfandel. My dining experience was truly wonderful with exquisite food and wine and exceptional service. Highly recommended with highest distinction!

Really nice spot in centre of the city! The food was delicious. The indoor seating is very comfy and cozy (there’s also outdoor seating). Nice decor and very lively atmosphere. The staff were really polite and service was fairly quick. 5/5 would recommend!!

Tried the steak. For $45, even though it is a rib eye, the portion just seemed too small. The steak came with mash and asparagus, and again for the price it just didn’t exceed expectations. It was a basic steak, with nothing special to go on. The market fish (mahi mahi) was also adequate. Seasoned well, yet the sauce was not all that flavourful. The greens were bitter and kind of overpowered the other flavours (because they were bland as it is). The fries were as expected. If the dipping sauce was the highlight of the meal, there is probably something not quite right with the dishes. They did have a delicious gin cocktail, but the food was average, even though it did look good at first. The service is top notch and the atmosphere is great, but there are many places that compete just as well with similar food but better.

Great location, lovely ambiance and good service! I'd recommend doing three courses if you're feeling quite hungry or adding side dishes to go with your main. It doesn't look like they do dessert anymore (I couldn't find the menu online). They started bottomless lunch this year in winter and it was really great...perhaps maybe too great!

One of the best European style bistro dine-in experience. My friends and, I loved everything about this place. Beautiful customer service, lovely attendants, delicious delicious delicious food, bloody good cocktails and not to forget their pumpkin crème brulee just hit the top of the charts!! The place itself has a welcoming ambiance. The decoration to the seating, everything was top notch. We have ordered the below to eat and drink. Loge3 the interior design of this place, really funky! Thought the food could be better though,although not the worst just pretty average,the initial wow of the space is somewhat let down by it. Would come back for drinks but probably not to eat. Terrace is lovely in the sun

You're paying for the ambience here. Food was pretty average, and very expensive for what it is. Service was okay, but took a long time for drinks and food to come - around 20 minutes per drink. Menu is not very inclusive - a single vegetarian main, and gluten free options were comprised (e.g a burger with no bun). Nice vibe though.

Amazing venue, incredible + warm staff. We held our engagement party at Pilkingtons on the 31st and can't recommend enough. The team are extremely attentive, canape's chosen were delicious , beverages are well priced for an inner city bar/restaurant and the cocktails are outstanding! Many of our guests raved about the food + cocktails, how beautiful of a venue it is and how awesome the staff were both during our event and following. The team on the night exceeded all expectations and set a new standard for us and our guests. We are so glad we chose Pilkingtons. The bonus is that their event pricing is very competitive compared to other venues in the area. Thank you Vanessa + team for your efforts and helping make our night one we will never forget. Can't wait to be back.

Great little spot, beautiful decor, excellent food and drinks! We had prawns, salmon and the heirloom tomato salad which was scrumptious. Staff weren’t so great however, little rude but the two manager ladies were very hospitable. I would recommend and probably would revisit on that basis. It was a cold Friday night and we were warmly greeted into Pilkingtons for dinner. I had the Goat Cheese Salad while my companions had the steak, salmon, chicken, gnocchi dishes. The side dish of green beans were yummy too! Great value for money.

Love the atmosphere of the restaurant! I think this place is usually busy but when i went, it was raining and so quiet. Staffs were really friendly and the food was also great. Recommend the burger and chocolate mouse dessert. Great cocktail too. My friend and I were going to move to another place for dessert but we ended up having it here.. 😁 I will definitely go again and try other menus.

Took two girlfriends for lunch at this restaurant. It was a treat and it didn’t disappoint. The fact is this is not a budget place for lunch so it wasn’t packed. The fit out is modern, the environment is quiet and The food was good so I can see this is a really nice place to take clients if you would like to have a discreet conversation over a nice presentable lunch. We ordered the duck leg, the market fish (hapuka) and the linguine with clams. All was excellent. The service wasn’t quick so it’s not a quick lunch but we weren’t in a hurry so it was all good. All in all, happy with everything and happy to recommend as a high end lunch place.

Absolutely superb experience. Vanessa, the manager, was friendly, engaging and personable. The food was divine - my personal favourite was the ceviche. Next level delicious! Although the goat cheese salad and skirt steak were a very close second. Would absolutely recommend Pilkingtons and we will definitely be back!

Recently celebrated my birthday at Pilkingtons. Had an intimate dinner with a few friends. Loved the atmosphere, the staff were lovely and kind and enjoyed the food. Would be awesome to see the mocktails you offer on the drinks menu to make it easier to decide as opposed to going to the staff as the first point of contact for that. Would definetly come back for the atmosphere. If you love taking gorgeous photos, this is your spot.

Cute little place, packing some serious flavours! I went in with my wife and her cousin from overseas after taking her around Auckland CBD showing her how lovely our city was. I was a bit uncertain about the choice of restaurant as I've never dined here. My doubts were busted as our meals were served. All three of us ordered different meals but they were all delicious. I'm a man who likes a big meal but it wouldn't be fair to ask for a big meal here. This was a quite nice, cute restaurant with a stylish feel.

Throughly enjoyed dinner at this trendy little establishment. The interior of the restaurant is quite unique and makes for a comfortable, rich dining environment. The food was also fantastic. We began with an entree from the 'Small Plates' menu - pork steamer buns. Delicious. For mains, I had a Wagyu beef burger and my counterpart had a steak. Both very nice. On this particular occasion, the service, although very friendly was quite slow.

Here just for a couple of good beer, I enjoyed the atmosphere of this busy place in to the Auckland city centre close to the main offices, cool and trendy, not so cozy in that moment because so plenty! Good attentive staff even in a similar occasion! Hope to go there again to try something different!

The food is pretty good. The bar is a bit hit or miss though, there were no pale ales after 630 PM which was kinda disappointing. Gets very, very busy in the evenings so factor that into your plans.

Went to Pilkingtons for an early dinner during Auckland Restaurant Month and was treated to an amazing 3-course meal, with a glass of bubbles to go with the $55 meal. Since we went quite early the place was rather sparse, which was a surprise for a Saturday but for more popular dinner times, bookings are likely essential.
