This is my place for pizza in Auckland. The garlic knuckles are really tasty. The hot wings are yummy and the really hot ones have some heat. The sauces are nice too. The pizza is fantastic. Full of flavour especially the meatball and the pizzas are large. There is plenty of options including vegetarian options. Staff are always nice too and you can pay by card including Amex.

As a New Yorker, it’s great to see the New York pizza tradition executed well in other countries. A great New York pizza place outside the states is hard to come by, and a lot of places try and fail. This is one of the best pizza places I’ve been to in the Southern Hemisphere. There’s nothing better than this in Australia or anywhere else on the North Island. The pizza is well-executed, the dough is great, not overlooked at all like some New York imitators. The cheese is a great color after it’s cooked, and the sauce was good as well. One of the few places where you can buy pizza by the slice (and it’s good!). The place is a bit small but the staff is friendly and there’s an unquestionable New York pizza vibe to the place. They have red pepper flakes and Parmesan on the table. The playlist over the intercom was very enjoyable as well.

Great little pizza joint. We had a slice of pepperoni and pepperoni wheels. The slice was good but the wheel was delicious! Definitely get it. We're visiting from the states and we're looking for a little slice of home. The staff was very friendly as well.

Sal’s Pizzas are excellent, they are tasty and good value. The staff are very accommodating and the food comes quickly. The Resturant can become rather busy, though there is a relatively high table turnover. One pizza is just about right for two people to share and the garlic knots are also a nice extra. Well worth checking out for a whole pizza or a slice. Good value, good food. Great little pizza joint. We had a slice of pepperoni and pepperoni wheels. The slice was good but the wheel was delicious! Definitely get it. We're visiting from the states and we're looking for a little slice of home. The staff was very friendly as well.

Great for takeaway. Can get in and out fast and it's on my way home from work via the britomart station. Sals pizzas are big and basic which is exactly what I want from a pizza.

Best customer service ive EVER HAD!! I can honestly say at this store that I had the best customer service experience. After a rough day, my partner and I stumbled up Fort street and found ourselves at Sals, and needless to say im glad we did! We were greeted almost instantly with a big smile, the guy serving us (Zane) was so polite and friendly! He was attentive and presented himself so professionally, of course we werent suprised when complementing him on his accuracy and overall kind nature that he told us he was the store manager! I knew instantly after this experience that I needed to get his name and sing his praises online. He even told us about their 3 knots for $5 after I joked to my partner that a single one of their delicious knots was never enough. I personally want to thank you Zane (If you see this) we greatly enjoyed our night and you definitely made the both of us feel significantly acknowledged not only as customers but now loyal regulars. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Tonight Zane showed us how great customer service can turn an aggravating mistake into a pleasant interaction. We received spicy wings instead of originals, we called to complain and Zane was very friendly and apologetic. He offered to replace the wings with the correct ones within 20 minutes. 15 minutes later he was at our door, apologized profusely and yet was very friendly. Thank you Zane, you take care out there.

Authentic NY style pizza with full of flavor. Love the size of pizza in reasonable price. Good to share with 2~3 people. It is good to order a pint of beer with a slice of pizza which is unable at other fast food pizza house.

As a New Yorker moving to New Zealand I was not expecting to find quality NY style pizza, but Sal's has truly hit the nail on the head! Huge slices, gorgeous crust and sauce. We order 1/2 buffalo, 1/2 Manhattan once a week! If you want to taste a real NY slice I highly recommend.

Great Sals! Very consistent pizza and service. Inside seating is a little scarce, but they do what they can with limited space. Outdoor seating is lovely in the summer. A lesser-known tip is to grab a bottle of cold water from the fridge and some cups - water tastes good too.

The pepperoni wheels are delicious! And very filling. The buffalo wings are a classic and some of the best around. Plus getting an 18 inch pizza is a nice treat.

This is a great sal's with great pizza as usual. The new venue doesn't appear to be as big as the old but overall the place is quite nice. Personal favourite is the pepperoni and the cheese. Recommended to any who haven't had their fatty treat. A healthy option would be nice to add to the menu but I suppose that doesn't fit in with the rest of the menu at all.

Great pizza, BIG slices but they make them well. Seating is scarce (look for takeout I'd say) but overall it is very good. The garlic wheels are delicious. Half Pizza prices are a bit about the more expensive than the fancy Dominos ones, but imo better quality

Fresh off of a 20 hour journey from California, we were dying of hunger and stopped at Sal’s. Chris really took care of us out of town visitors and we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. He even slipped us a extra taste of the pepperoni rolls - awesome!

Open late at night, but only sort of open. When we turned up, with an hour to go before to closing time on the sign they'd pretty much packed up and weren't keen to cook anything. In the end we got a couple of pizzas, they were big and tasted ok, but they were expensive. Tables inside and outside, convenient location for emergency pizza after a night out in town.

The food at Sal's is A-MAZ-ING. The full pizza was huge, hot, and delicious. I can't praise it enough. What really impressed me though was their service. We got to Sal's just before a crush of people before the Florence & the Machine concert. They weren't staffed for such a huge wave of customers, but the small staff was quick, competent, and friendly throughout. An absolute must try. We'll be going back every chance we get.

It's a Sal's, why are you even looking at the reviews. If you have never been... GO, it is worth it. The best pizza you will ever have. The only star they have lost is because it is quite a small set up so on busy nights you will be lucky to find a seat.

UPDATE: On so many lazy nights in we've ordered a half Italian sausage pizza and doing it again tonight. Bumping up rating bc of how much we've ended up frequenting this shop. You can get a beer or two there too. When you've got that late night craving, there's always Sal's. Pizza may be old depending on the time of night but I must say sometimes walking by I am very very very lured in by the aroma and sights.

Let's get one thing abundantly straight- this is not NY quality pizza. However, it's good for a quick meal, or if you're an Americano like me it makes you feel less homesick. The novelty of having a huge pie and a pitcher of beer is pretty wonderful, I'd recommend it.

A handy location in the lower city, with dine in option. The range of flavours is good, & the new flavours, like Pollo Alla Nonna & Buffalo are delicious. Try a Pepperoni wheel or garlic knot for a treat.

Felt like a ninja turtle eating these slices of heaven. I like the minimalist option and quality of ingredients make for an outstanding pizza. The wings are especially taste combined with the ranch/cheese sauces.

First time I went there... variety wasn't all that great, meatballs were disappointing, and really expensive, big pieces but dough was a bit tough in a few places, wouldn't recommend unless you have plenty of people to pitch in for a cheap feast.
